Hole Hawg with the side handle and a 12” bit extension is all I’ll ever use along with dust bowl. Safer tool especially when you’re on a ladder. In low speed it has a clutch in case the bit jams.

Ben to Dewalt - "my relatively new Sawzall stopped working."
Dewalt to Ben - "sir, this is a Wendy's."

The Milwaukee hole saw works flawlessly. I installed (12) new 6" Halo LED wafer lights in a plaster/ wood lathe ceiling in a 100-year old house and the hole saw was still kicking ass after all that. First, I attach the dust bowl and hole saw and it cuts out the plaster up to the wood lathe. From there I use the M18 oscillating tool with a Carbon all purpose bit to chop away the wooden lathe. IMO this is the best way and I've been installing recessed lighting for over three decades. The wafer light spings sit on top of the wood lathe and the lights turn out beautiful.

I have both brushed and brushless drills. If battery life is not a concern, I grab the brushed, it just responds more naturally of what I expect. But the brushless just last so much longer and if you are an auditory listener, i picked up on them quicker.

Ben, put the side handle on your drill, especially drilling through this material.
I have both the M12 and M18 fuel drill/driver sets, and I'm amazed that the M12 seems to be nearly as powerful for most applications, even driving in 12" structural lag screws. Amazing.

Wow, that's impressive. Yeah the handle would be nice. If only I knew where it were... ;)

The newest M18 fuel allows you to turn of anti kickback, and with the 2803 drill hammer drill mode is probably preferred for all that soft masonry.

That would be a nice feature as it was pretty annoying having it stall out so much. Hammer drill mode would have been smart too.

Some of the deals in your store are not working. Good prices and would have bought but it's not working. Such as the Makita 5" 18v grinder. When you click them and it goes to Amazon there is just nothing to click on to buy it. I'll check back later

much better design than the old one with the 2 stupid blades that jump around and flex.

Finally got a chance to watch the video Ben. It thanks for sharing.. I don't always subscribe to the big Name brands. I purchased a set of whole saws from the local hardware store. They are made by Irwin. I hope they are good Because I've got my share of drywall to cut through Also thanks for the tip About the dust bucket

The drills were set to different settings, the brushless was on setting 12 for torque stop while the regular was on drill bit setting which doesn't have torque setting (even though speeds are the same). From my experience using the carbide/diamond pieces rim hole saws the higher speed (2) works better but it needs to be driven in slower and not pushed on as much or if it binds your hands will curse you out.

Using the Hole Hawg above your head for that number of holes when you were done, your arms would look like Arnold Schwarzenegger's.

I think that the M18 Fuel (brushless) has an anti kickback to save your wrist.

Pretty sure that must be the case.

You can just turn the drill chuck down one step off of drill so it’s not locked.

PPE equipment dude is a must all the time as accidents don't announce themselves...🤤
Goggle to protect your eyes as they don't grow back and a mask older structures may have asbestos your lungs are underappreciated til they don't work.
