    When are u guys going to post the video of how to hook up a switch to make it from 2wd to awd? Basically bypassing the smart trac system? Are u guys also from KY? I live right outside of Lexington in Paris, KY. I have owned over 20 S10s and blazers over the years. S10 was my first vehicle.

    So to lower the front it’s only torsion key and shocks?

    • @s10life
      @s10life  9 месяцев назад +2

      Correctamundo. Technically just keys and really you can loosen stock keys to lower it some before replacing keys entirely

    I ended up crashing my 00 black bravada(do not text and drive) bought another white one with a bad trans to replace it, swapped it over, I love these trucks. My 2 door 2wd blazer is dropped, with 9 inch wide prime 3 spoke wheels.

      @cafemotorsports How much are you able to lower the rear? How does it ride? Does it affect the 4wd? My son wants to drop ours... I would like it to be around a 3/4 or a little lower.

    • @cafemotorsports
      @cafemotorsports Год назад +3

      @@MartinRacingChannel if you get bell tech lowering shocks if rides good. Make sure you use angled lowering blocks for the rear. It would keep your pinion angle correct.

      @@s10lifewhy would you need New lowering torsion keys ? I'm just doing a 2 inch drop in the back with the lowering blocks . But wouldn't the stock torsion setup easily bring it down the 2 inches I need ? Unless you're going more than 2 inches ? Thanks newbie to this kinda stuff But would like your input please Ty

    • @s10life
      @s10life  Месяц назад +1

      That’s an excellent question! Short answer: yes you can use the stock keys to go lower.
      Long answer: if you want to maintain ride quality you want to keep the tension pretty close to stock tension and that’s what lowering keys do. They give you a lower ride but still retain the original tension for ride quality.

    I just removed this lowering kit from my boys black 2000 bravada this summer. I would'nt have thought in a million years someone would have wanted it. Sad part it was so new it had no surface rust on it. Where we live you cant go any lower.

      It's all about personal preference. We live on our 3,000 acre farm in KY but we love the low life so we lowered our Bravada and we love how it turned out. To each his own. Of course we have our lifted 4x4 5 speed S10 for farm use.

      @@s10life I live on 2 acres in KY and my friend just gifted me a 2002 S-10 ZR2. Personal preference or just working with what you got. Thanks for posting this video. There is little information on how to lower 4x4s. I've always enjoyed lower vehicles, and how they drive. Just seeing how upset people around here and on the internet get about mentioning it makes me want to do it more. The truck has a lot of undercarriage rust so I feel like I will be replacing a lot anyway. Any other tips would be appreciated! Nice work! Kentucky Proud. :)

    Why is it cutting up one tire like that? Maybe there's a bolt in the fender well you can take out to stop the issue of it cutting up the tire like that.

    • @s10life
      @s10life  2 года назад

      It was definitely getting into a bolt head and if we took the bolt out it would still rub the cladding sadly! We ended up with putting the stock keys back in and adjusting them as low as we could.
