I have a video idea for you, this comes from me just getting into pokemon cards again (had them as a child). In building an excel sheet list of the cards I want to collect, I was surprised to learn about Secret Cards, Holofoil, Shiny, Rotom, Unown, Arceus, Alph Lithograph, Radiant, Classic, Trainer gallery, Galarian gallery and so on... Then on top of that I had to learn about 1st Edition, Unlimited Edition, and things like Shadowless, "red cheek / yellow cheek" Copyright dates, EX non-holo code variants. A cool video would go over what those card variants are, how they differ from the original cards.
That’s a great idea!! I’m currently working on a video that explains rarity simples across the entire lifespan of the TCG. Similar to that idea, but only talks about the specific types of rarity. I’ll add this one to the list. Thank you for the suggestion
I have spent a ton of money the past two weeks, 36 boosters, 2 etb’s. One shrouded fable, the other twilight masquerade. Pulled the full art houndoom from shrouded, and pulled the evee full art, tatsugiri full art and an ace spec unfair stamp all in the same pack.
Thanks! I’m finally getting back to collecting after 15 years. Your advice is perfect, everything I need to be up to date with collecting. Starting with Temporal Forces 👍

Sorry abt all these questions I’m very new to this 😅 And one last question Do u know what pack I should buy just to find some cool cards and that r affordable?
So glad to hear you’re getting into the hobby! Investing in an elite trainer box is a great way to get started playing. It comes with a pack of 50 energies and a good amount of booster packs to get your deck started. I’d suggest grabbing one of those from the twilight masquerade or temporal forces sets. Affordable and easy to get! Hope this helps!
I just bought my first pokemon card pack yesterday. It was the halloween trick or trade pack. I have under 100 pokemon cards at the moment but im hoping to buy more and pull rare cards. Im mostly a sports card guy too.
I always recommend starting with the newest set, only because it’s easiest to get as you’re learning… so you could either jump right into temporal forces, or wait a few weeks and jump on twilight masquerade when it drops
This isn't really the case for Pokémon. Certain sets have a higher probability of pulling higher rarity cards, but because the probability is higher, the rare cards themselves from that set end up being less valuable. It's really a chance game
I used to collect FA Supporters a while back, but at some I sold them when I needed money for something. Now I'm trying to get back into it but as it turns out the price of the cards I sold skyrocketed T-T it feels like I'm never getting Iris and Juniper back, the prices went 10x compared to when I sold them 8 years ago. I still think I'll try to get them eventually but at this point I've lost hope that I'll find them at an affordable price. Anyway, great video. It's very helpful for beginning to collect again

Hi Vaxx! 5 months late... but my honest advice would be to look at two things... 1. Specific Pokémon. Almost every Pokémon (primarily in the first 3 generations) has cards that appreciate in value over time. Now that doesn't mean EVERY card does, its just a safe bet that some will... so if you have a favorite Pokémon, starting by hunting for it may be a good way to get your feet wet. 2. Set values are super hard to predict, but generally it comes down to chase cards, I wouldn't suggest jumping into set collecting with an investment mindset, because in all honesty, that's just gambling... If I were you, i'd start by buying packs in the most current set, because they are cheapest and easiest to get ahold of.. you'll learn what you like and don't like... also downloads the app Pokellector... its a great tool to look at all the sets and see any cards you may want to hunt for. in the end, its all a hobby and for fun! There's no "right way of doing it" Just explore and enjoy the ride! You'll learn what you like/don't like. and most importantly, don't break your bank!!
Glad it was helpful! What ETB to he really depends on the cards you’re looking to pull! I recommend getting the newest sets because they are the cheapest until you learn what you’re looking for
151 is a bit unique because it doesn’t have booster boxes available. What I did was grab a few sealed products for fun (like the ultimate premium collection box, the tins, and a few booster bundles). Opened them all up and then went out looking for the singles I was missing. If you’re looking for purely the best bang for your buck.. it’s a tough call because you never know what you might pull… I always tend to spend a couple hundred on seeped and rip them and then purchase whatever I didn’t pull from there. You can go down a dangerous path if you try to pull every card 😂😂 hope this helps! Also just an FYI, Walmart has 151 booster bundles discounted online right now at a great price!
Just found your channel and love the content! Really helpful guide to collecting Pokemon Cards, I also make Pokemon card opening videos so love the content! Keep up the awesome work :)
easiest would be the most recent collection, just because its easy to get your hands on and not priced above retail yet. But it really depends on what you're into and what makes you happy honestly. You can collect specific arts of Pokémon you like, or, what I do is collect a specific product from each yet... the elite trainer box. It looks good sealed on a shelf
What edition should I start with? I’m not massively clued up on Pokemon but I’ve always wanted to get into collecting the cards etc! Any help would be appreciated haha
Hey man! I’d suggest jumping in with the newest set.. it’s easiest to find and hasn’t been marked up. You’ll learn a lot as you go, but that’s always my recommendation on where to start
I don’t currently. Honestly, grading isn’t something I’ve jumped into myself yet. I really like the look of raw cards. I’m sure there is another creator who has made a good video!! If you can’t find one, let me know and I’ll do some research and make one
can be sketchy for sure! There are legit products, but id check reviews and pay attention to who the seller is. certainly don't buy any single cards are crazy expensive products. I've ordered ETBs a few times from amazon sellers and haven't had a problem
I believe TCGPlayer.com does have international shipping options. If not, I'd suggest some googling to find a local card shop in sweden that you can order from.
Hi, I see there are many different types of Pokémon cards… which set do I start with? I want to mainly collect all the rare/shiny from each collection… is this a thing or how what would you recommend doing? What different types of Pokémon cards are there? Thanks!
It’s really random honestly. Each set has so many rare cards, so I would suggest either buying cards individually using TCGPlayer.com, or finding a set that has a lot of cards you like and opening some packs form it to increase your chances of pulling a card you want. You can google pokemon sets and see what cards are in them. The newer the set, the easier it will be to find
@@Antdog5313 yeah! They do have packs that can certainly have rare pulls, but usually they only have a few options and they aren’t the best ones for price per pack, which is what you’re looking for when trying to pull rare cards
eBay’s gonna be the best if you’ve got time to wait for a good deal. If you’re more interested in getting them, than getting the best price… your options open a lot more, but I definitely suggest going with eBay
@@VaxxsCharizardCollection What I'm trying to explain is, is it logical to buy and sell something thinking it might be valuable? For example, if I bought a package, would I make more money from it or would I lose money? (I use translate)

2021 has some great sets, the challenge you’ll run into however is, the older the set, the harder they are to come by and the more expensive they’ll be. If you’re set on this era, I’d suggest buying specific cards that you’re looking to play with and not opening packs to try and find them

I have a question, tho (and maybe for another viewers who'd also like to give their opinions, please do so)-I really want to start collecting but idk which packs/series to start with, maybe u have some recommendations abt this?
- I dont really think of becoming a player, and
- I'm still browsing thru the pokellector indexes to see the artworks on each packs/series since someone on the internet suggested me to do so but, yknow, just want to know ur thoughts and (perhaps) any of ur recommendations bcs I'd also like my collection to have some kind of "value" (if that makes sense) and just in case I might sell some of them in the future
Would really love to know ur answer :) tysm in advance-OH, and keep up the good work🔥
PS. sorry for any errors in this comment since english isnt really my 1st language, hehe ❤
Thank you so much this was very helpful 😊 also what ETB do you recommend?
Glad it was helpful! What ETB to he really depends on the cards you’re looking to pull! I recommend getting the newest sets because they are the cheapest until you learn what you’re looking for
Hi just start collecting pokemon cards. My goal is to complete card sets like 151. Is it much better to buy single cards or bundles and packs?
I’m doing it to collect all the Pokémon’s
Very nice!!! Best of luck :)
Thanks for help
Glad it was helpful!!
Great video!

Thx great vid❤
Glad it helped!
Thank you
Happy to help :)
Im thinking of collecting problem is i don't know much about Pokemon at all lol. I know about 12 of them that's it lol.
Hahaha it’s all a journey. I’d start by just buying a few packs of the most modern set… helps you start to get a feel for everything
Just found your channel and love the content! Really helpful guide to collecting Pokemon Cards, I also make Pokemon card opening videos so love the content! Keep up the awesome work :)
Thank you so much! 😀
hi Im starting collecting pokemon, but I want to collect sealed box not to open. Any recommend where to start? and which is good to collect
easiest would be the most recent collection, just because its easy to get your hands on and not priced above retail yet.
Do you have a video on the steps of how to get the psa thing done to a card i have no clue and my little brother wants to get some done
I don’t currently. Honestly, grading isn’t something I’ve jumped into myself yet. I really like the look of raw cards. I’m sure there is another creator who has made a good video!! If you can’t find one, let me know and I’ll do some research and make one
Good video
Thank you!
not me looking at this collecting Kpop photo cards☺(btw i also love Pokemons)
😂😂😂 Believe it or not, I was given those at a local TCG store with a purchase and threw them in there as an easter egg. glad somebody noticed!

Is buying on Amazon a safe bet?
can be sketchy for sure! There are legit products, but id check reviews and pay attention to who the seller is. certainly don't buy any single cards are crazy expensive products. I've ordered ETBs a few times from amazon sellers and haven't had a problem
8:40 I was only able to take part in one...
Im from sweden and want to start collecting cards. Where is a great website to buy for me? Im totally new to this
I believe TCGPlayer.com does have international shipping options. If not, I'd suggest some googling to find a local card shop in sweden that you can order from.
@@VaxxsCharizardCollection thank u!
Can i ask how to tell from fake cards and real cards
Here's a link to a video I did on it: ruclips.net/video/fzC-d8NxXM8/видео.htmlsi=FKM_PoNqYu4pGkJg
@@VaxxsCharizardCollectionthx your the best:)
Hope you have serious bank with a collecting goal like that 😅
Hahahahaha right? 😂 definitely not a goal I’m going to accomplish quickly, but chipping away at it piece by piece
Just depends on what condition you’re willing to have in your collection.
Im trying to collect the eevelution chain
That’s awesome!!! Best of luck!!
What should i get if im trying to comple a pokemon set? Should i just get loads of booster packs?
The cheapest way to complete a set is definitely to buy the cards you need individually… although that’s way less fun than hunting for them in packs
Thanks. I'm an OG player but I'm looking to get my son playing in Pokémon League.
That’s awesome! Good luck to your son!!
Where do you sell your cards
I honestly don’t sell much, but if I were to, it would be singles on TCGPlayer or EBay.
Hi
👋👋
So no amazon?
I would avoid it, yes
I can afford cards but again we don’t all have a drivers license
I’m ten
How much is a full set
It really depends on the set. Some can be $1000 to complete and some are over $100,000
So GameStop is not a option
GameStop isn’t a terrible choice, but selections are usually very likited
@@VaxxsCharizardCollection basically I’m buying cards to find rare cards
@@Antdog5313 yeah! They do have packs that can certainly have rare pulls, but usually they only have a few options and they aren’t the best ones for price per pack, which is what you’re looking for when trying to pull rare cards
On tiktok
@@VaxxsCharizardCollection you tell me what I should be buying I’m just trying to the the expensive cards
Are booster boxes on Amazon good?
I've never had a problem. just pay attention to reviews of the seller. TCGPlayer is less likely to cause a problem IMO
I just want to buy graded slabs … straight to eBay?
eBay’s gonna be the best if you’ve got time to wait for a good deal. If you’re more interested in getting them, than getting the best price… your options open a lot more, but I definitely suggest going with eBay
You also can be very successful buying from collector Facebook groups
Im a 14 year old who just got back into collecting and i must say this is a expensive hobby 😅
It can be VERY VERY expensive… spend wisely 😂
❤❤❤😊😮
My mom gave away all my cards back in 2005 I'm still sick
YIKKEESSS! A collectors worst nightmare
First thing should be...a job

I want to start this business and there are too many fakes in Turkey. Do you recommend this business to me?
What business exactly are you referring too?
@@VaxxsCharizardCollection I am using translate, it was written wrong
@@VaxxsCharizardCollection What I'm trying to explain is, is it logical to buy and sell something thinking it might be valuable? For example, if I bought a package, would I make more money from it or would I lose money? (I use translate)
@@Joker_StopMotion if you buy now. It will gain value over time, but it’s hard to buy and then resell for a profit without having the ability to pay wholesale pricing. It’s not impossible… but it’s very challenging
Hello, id like to start this aventure of playing first, and collecting If I love this. If I want to start by buying « Pokemon TCG 2021 » is it good? Please help. Loved your video ❤
2021 has some great sets, the challenge you’ll run into however is, the older the set, the harder they are to come by and the more expensive they’ll be. If you’re set on this era, I’d suggest buying specific cards that you’re looking to play with and not opening packs to try and find them
Can't afford bruh-
It can be expensive for sure
