@@ash-n-joker Had a play with it last night, Shiva and Chocobo are over in under 30secs with no dmg, Leviathan is going to take some time though.
Its annoying we have to get past other bosses first just to practice a later 1.
I tried the VR, but u cant play those bosses on hard mode ;(

Listen, it took me about 100 tries to finally complete it. I used this video - it goes into insane detail about strategy to the T, and if you copy it EXACTLY, it works. My tip is to follow this video:

Opti you don't have to do this on your own mate, use this video, it will make everything so much easier, only thing is you gotta move your materia and gear around a bit, but you'll be able to move on so much quicker, trust ;)

@@ash-n-joker not yet m8, ive beat them before last year about 20 times when I almost made a guide last year, Im just remembering it now and trying to come at it differently as I want a way to get rid of them sooner, my build last year was safer, I want a faster build which will stop most phases from triggering in 1st place

The behemoth kept destroying me, but the “stop” magic attack after beating on the lower and upper body nailed it. Great strategy!

Thank you for another successful guide! I watched it through a couple times, then I watched each section paused it at stagger points or at the end of the battle to mimic exactly what you did and I got through it! Took me 2 tries because I didn't know at the 3rd fight I was supposed to defeat the bottom body and the top body to get him to stagger. Thank you again for the best guides on RUclips!
For anyone watching, you do not need to assess an enemy in order to learn their attacks. I just learned this one in the battle sim without assessing.

i finally cleared this challange in one try thanks to your guide, had to re-do it for the bad brith skill...the stop on the horns is a life saver as i remember the behemoth being way harder in the quest.

Been trying to finish up all the achievements and unlocks before rebirth, and this got me through the fight first try (though I had to run it a few more times to actually grab bad breath haha). Great guide!

never thought id be able to do this fight years ago, but decided to try go for the plat and your video helped me beat this after so many tries. cloud and aerith went down early in the bahamut fight and tifa somehow managed to solo that fight

Thx sooo much for the guide made this fight easy as hell. The behemoth was more trouble than the Marlboro tbh. Even when tifa was down during the Marlboro fight I still had enough atb to spam firaga.

I never expect to finally beat this one. After watching video after video after video. I didnt think one could prevent tonberry chefs knife death attack. After watching your video i beat it on my first attempted but i didnt get the bad breath skill aftervi asses it! So i had to redo it again and finally got it. Two more vr challenge to go
Been following your guides since Resident Evil 2 remake, and this one was super helpful as usual 👍👍😂 Followed most of your materia set up, except I replaced Cloud’s Manawall + Magnify with Revive and Healing, because on my first try I died on the fourth round to the Tonberry. It killed Aerith, the only one with revive, and it finished cloud and tifa off with scourge. Finished this fight on my second try, because this guide made it a piece of cake 🍰 Thanks 🙏

Took me probably around 15 times at least. Got the enemy skill first then die, couple of tries later got it! I'm back on here after platinuming rebirth. After rebirth, i have a new profound motivation to platinum remake. Thanks optinoob!

I got to marboro twice but assess didn't help me learn his bad breath when I did it first. I guess you just don't learn it each time you get hit with it. Luckily, your guide makes it pretty easy to reach Marboro and I have to stop short from killing it to try to learn the skill, so that's something!
Update: Learned bad breath ability tonight. Only 3 trophies left to go. Thanks for your videos. I appreciate them!

Hard Bosses in this game take a lot of focus

Dude your materias where helpful for me to build Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa up but I kinda took the fire out from Cloud and parry out from Aerith since they were useless for me so I used Revival on both charchters since you need to have them if one or both dies to revive the other one
And I also didn’t use fire against type-0 Behemoth just the manwall and tifa with owerpower on behind and then in the middle and then the same you used with Arith with Ray of judgement and to stop time with Cloud to make him loose his horns
In the 4th battle just use tifa and take the bomb guy first you will have time enough to beat him and once he is gone you can take the little guy with the knife and go straight to final boss
To learn Marlboro skill I think it only works when he has a little health and the one who has the skill materia is the one who has to learn from it, it can be luck sometimes but it’s all about timing in the right spot and avoid Acid 10/10 with this Walkthrough
Hey Optinoob. Glad to see new content from you. And I was going to ask about more guides for FF7 as yours are always the easiest and best to follow. Are you also going to do videos for Pride and Joy and Harbinger/Sephiroth bosses on Hard mode? It'd be amazing if you do coz your strats make facing these bosses feel like a breeze 😁

My type 0 fights are just broken, I cripple the lower and upper body easy within 30 seconds but then it can’t be “stopped” that never works and no matter how much damage I do to the horns they never break, I had a fight I crippled the lower and upper body 3 TIMES and the horms still didn’t break from all my basic attacks, on top of that when it’s on the ground crippled it spams attacks constantly and is always moving, I haven’t killed it ONCE and my round 2 fight is a joke too 90% of the time it Insta kills cloud and aerith in 2 seconds of the fight starting and the fight is long and drawn out, this game is just a joke at this point. all this for a 5% trophy makes me sick

Thank you for this guide! Haven't even tried it yet but was using the BlitzZ guide which pops up above yours when searching for one and man he made it look easier and uses ZERO HP UP's and that Behemoth Fight is NIGH IMPOSSIBLE with his trash strategy!
Its just a different approach, though due to my approach, i think i look like a bad player most the time XD
If you get stuck on any other fights, I have separate videos for all hard bossfights with this same approach - Making a strategy which is as easy and as little skill required as i could make it!
I've got the rule of ALWAYS assessing any enemy the first time i see it ; did the same with Malboro, both on PS4 and Intergrade (PS5) , but in both cases i had to try a few times to get Bad Breath ... that also meant letting poor Tifa be destroyed on purpose, than playing some rounds in total defense 😕; so the Cleansing materia was mandatory for me. Also, Stop almost never worked on the behemoth, at least for me ; speaking of when it is still at full health, it works once he is down with at least one body part.

I love how you're explaining exactly what you're doing and why. This is such a perfect guide to this fight. As I wasn't getting any luck learning bad breath - this guide made it easy for me to run back through and try Marlboro again!
also for future reference you don’t need to access to learn the skill! I just learned bad breath and forgot to access! unfortunately though I was one hit away from killing the the Marlboro and died 😭😭😭
That second guy still was able to kill tifa multiple times with that one hit attack but great vid thanks

That behemoth was a f**ing pain in the ass. Your tactics helped me big time, and I managed to beat him. Marlboro was a walk in the park compared to him lol…

If not for these guides I would have given up on the platinum ages ago
The problem I had is the behemoth kept killing my teammates while I was hitting his lower body then even the few times he didn’t and I got him down I cast stop on his horns but he would do hand stands and slam down killing or messing up the attacks on his horns resulting in horns taking little damage not breaking me bouncing around from person to person casting revives only to then have the revived teammates oneshot again the last couple of battles really killed my desire to play on hard mode because if I do it would be to get the weapons to max level and the new items without that there’s no point
The Behemoth got staggered right at the edge off the arena and I couldn't reach its horns lol

Just got to this fight last night and was hit so hard by bad breath that I died, going back at it tonite to get the trophy. Btw, I did not assess the Marlboro but I did get the skill and trophy.

ive gotten to malboro 3 times now and i kept letting him bad breath me to get his skill. It has to be like a 30% chance or less to get it because he used bad breath on me 6 times within the 3 times i fought him and I got the skill finally.
I accidentally had synergy left on Aerith for this and the behemoth destroyed her. But luckily, Tifa is broken. Straight up starshowered that thing to death. Marlboro is kind of a joke as well, I had to stop like you did and wait for him to do bad breath because he almost died before getting a move off 😂.

Before 06:30 how about delay a bit so Tifa can revive him to full health before going to next fight 😄
I intentionally let Tonberry to "Chief knife" Tifa so Cloud won't be instant death.

What enemy is this on m8, you should be building same amount....?? If you have a slightly different element output, for example a elemental linked fire, that can affect pressure output, do you have same build as me??

Could someone help me out here? Tifa's metal knuckles only has 5 materia slots and she has maxed out all the upgrades. She's level 50.

Yeah.... I can spam Tifa's Focused Strike a hundred times, twice in a row for 50 reps, and point blank at the enemy to minimize her distance at casting, and each animation, she jumps back so far and then leaps forward, that it takes like 3 seconds to do the move one time, which means it's too lengthy to "spam" and it therefore NEVER triggers ATB Assist... I'm doing it perfectly too (and it's like 1 out of 10 easy to do this)... they obviously patched this ability to have a slower animation so it cannot trigger ATB Assist.
So your other characters now have like zero ATB the entire time b/c ATB Assist is totally useless with Tifa's Focused Strike. Which makes this fight about 10,000 times harder than this video where everyone has infinite ATB basically all the time.
You're guide no longer applies, unless you change to Cloud melee as your main and re-do a new guide with that. Or change Tifa's spam ability to Divekick or something that has a 1 second cast animation and is fast enough that spamming it twice in a row WILL proc ATB Assist... problems there though are (1) it doesn't build stagger nearly as fast and (2) it misses > 50% of the time on mobile non-staggered enemies because this ability does NOT track the enemies' movement after you select it, and she'll just keep hitting the empty ground where the enemy used to be.
You also don't address Tonberry's ranged instant kill that 75% of the time one-shots Aerith at about the 10 second mark of the fight, even if she's across the map... your one person with revival.
I guess I can't get it now I'll have to start the game all over again
Something is wrong I have your exact build with materia and yet Tifa keeps getting insta killed by the tonberry and idk why

@@whyjordie only attack a little at a time, then move away. Maybe PS5 version is little different due to frame rate

Refocus is better then most limit breaks in game.
It not only gives you an extra atb gage but also lowers the time/dmg to fill all of them.

Is it recommended to get all the manuscripts first before fighting Joy and prototype or can you already beat him before that I made it to the last boss battle and I have 16 manuscripts obtained
Watch the first part of the vid to see my weapon upgrades, see how close you can get and then let me know how short you are, then I can let u know what upgrades u can leave out
@@Optinooby I tried to make it as close as yours with my weapon upgrades but I have fewer mp with cloud and Aerith compared to yours I don’t feel my magic spells gives enough damages to beat Shiva I’m on my first playthrough on Easy or classic and I don’t know if it is required to have all the manuscripts to make this boss battle easier to beat i was once lucky that I got to round 2 but Fat Chocobo is not making it easier to go through

Is it suggest if I just go to My second play-through on Hard mode and get the rest of manuscripts to get the extra SP/ skill points?
Wait where are you, have u only just done 1st play, no hard chapters yet??
I actually haven't tried this straight away on hard, I work up to it by getting most (not all) on chapters leading up to 17.
Biggest problem doing it straight away is that you will be weapon level 5, missing a full node.
Btw, on the characters that don't have many materia slotted, you wouldn't need so many materia upgrades on their weapon, so some SP saved there
You should be able to kill Shiva btw, even with less dmg. If I did fire lvl 3 with Aerith on her 2nd cast, it would be 9999, so I'm actually doing more dmg with that, probably way more. That's why I do fire lvl 2 (or was it level 1) on the 2nd cast, which is still 7k I think
I may try it actually with minimal weapon SP by respeccing, what SP do you have end of 1st play approx with every1??
@@Optinooby Yes I’m on my first playthrough I have not went to Hard mode yet that’s why I want to know if it’s possible to do this on lower difficulty without have all the stuff or if I need to go through hard mode before I can do the remaining part

You can’t get them all on first playthrough because you have to beat the game on classic, easy or normal before you can play it on hard so two playthroughs will be needed to do the Platinium trophy 🏆
