James Conner had a better oline than Najee had
And waay better qb play
I agree but 19 tds 4 cards by Connor
Are we potentially trading najee to get one of the 9ers receivers?
1. The Steelers spent 4 seasons building the OLine that Bell/Connor ran with. (Foster 2009-Pouncey 2010-Gilbert 2011-DeCastro 2012- Bell 2013). Najee had Kendrick Green and Dan Moore Jr.
2. It would have been literally IMPOSSIBLE to drop 8 or 9 in box to stop Bell/Connor with Prime Ben & AB on the field. Tell me how many stacked boxes Najee Harris had to run thru?
3. My wife knows more football knowledge than Adam Crowley and she's a beautician. Take that for what it's worth.
You just got your answer and you can also see what Tomlin and Art Smith think about him because his extension was not alot of money.
Add our running games neen Soooooo predictable. What was Francos career average PER tote ?? JEROME ??
220 + pounds and can jump over anybody on the field at anytime and don’t let me get started on that stiff arm😂 our team hasn’t been special in a while I think he gets a 5th year option but good takes from both of you guys … Nice work
Hes part of a "Commitee." Important part. The Oline is the bigger issue. Amd we have went after that.
So we goin to disregard the offensive line play
1) O-line was awful his rookie year, slightly better in year 2, and better last season. The O-line will be good enough to make Najee meet his potential.
2) Awful OC who passed when they should've run and ran when they should've passed. Najee was running into a wall nearly every play.
3) I say give him the 5th. He's valuable off and on the field.
4) James Conner was not better than Harris. We let Bell walk because we thought JC could do it. He couldn't. Same would happen to Warren.
In what way should a RBs off the field value factor in to paying him
Lazy take
I don't like the way the Steelers are operating. NAJEE has given his all and deserves to be compensated. Funny you bring up James Conner but we ran him out of town, he went on to have his most productive season. Najee will do the same. I hope he has a big year and walks.
You don't like the way the Steelers are operating with Omar at the helm? As opposed to what exactly? Also, Najee is outta here. RBs are an easily replaceable commodity in the modern NFL. We don't even have a baseline understanding of our QB talent and how it fits into Smith's system.
@JamesMowery idc you can glaze Omar Khan all you want either way he hasn't really proved anything as of yet. Najee however has proved to be reliable. He's also a leader. More important than assembling talent Omar needs to learn the team dynamic means something. Show guys get rewarded for hard work the Steelers way.
You can't compare James Connor and Najee Harris. James Conner had Big Ben before the elbow. James Conner had a way better oline than Najee has so far. Keep Najee and Warren.. they are a great 1-2 punch.
Najee was not picked up, and that's a VERY smart decision by the Steelers. I really love how Omar is handling this.
@JamesMowery Yeah...did you see what they said? They aren't picking him up because they want to see how he performs in Arthur Smith's offense. He will still be a Steeler after this year.
@@ZacheryZimmerman-uk4ti Of course. The draft class for RBs is going to be crazy next year. It might be sad to say, but we don't need Najee. We have more needs and we need to clear space for paying the QB. Not picking up the 5th year gives us more flexibility, and that's exactly what we need. But Najee will not be back after next year. We will pick up some insane young talent in 3rd or 4th round of the draft. That pick will be more ideal for Smith's system.
@@JamesMowery We are projected to have 83 million in cap space next year. Cap space won't be an issue at all.
@@ZacheryZimmerman-uk4ti Exactly! So Najee won't be an issue either. If he's amazing this year, we can pick him up. If he doesn't fit, he's gone. It's pretty clear and obvious that Omar made a great decision. We have flexibility during a volatile time where we're going to learn what the Steelers offense really is going to be in the future. Omar made a perfect decision here. If you don't see that, you're crazy.
