To bad that you don't told about accenting more important lead notes by very short pitch bending attack by 12 and 6 semitones to make them more stand out in the mix. It's Brooks' killer feature. ;) Fast turning off and on reverb plugin on start of every note in melody to reset reverb sound and make it more clear is good tip fom KSHMR.
1.Layer odd sounds 0:36 2.Stack the layers 2:17 3.Stereo Manipulation 5:38 4.It’s ok to use presets 7:25 5.Add different layers to make your main sound stand out 8:25 6.Idea of a song is more important than technical skill 11:14 7.Use Bass Bends 11:59 Thank me later
Yep, it makes a huge difference! Go To cymatics.fm , And download mastering blueprint and mixing blueprint!!! They are free and contain such valuable info! I learned many things. Also they have tons of free pro quality sounds, that are already eq and compressed :) . Please try it. Cymatics.fm
A lot of this stuff applies when you're doing other styles of music. The layers thing works great with orchestral stuff (oboes sound terrible by themselves, but they're really nice when you layer them with clarinets and horns)
It's so good to watch a video of a producer that knows his craft. It's not information passed on like some sort of printer, it's knowledge that has been tested and that we can clearly see you have deep understanding of. Thanks for sharing :)
I kinda felt happy seeing the bass bend tip bcs I started using it sometime ago just having fun and I didnt know a lot of producers did that I only knew some that did it
There's one thing I really want to know: on some of the audio clips such as kicks, rides or vocals, I often see arcs on both ends of them. I assume it is something to do with stereo, but I was not pretty sure where to find it and what it does. Is it cross-fade? Where can I find this option and what effects does it have? Thx for answers from anyone who knows about it!
dude can you make a tutorial on how the sound effect in juice WRLD wishing well is made? its also the sound effect from dragonball but sounds a bit different
With you I've been getting better more my productions, thank you very much for help us, I really appreciate it. Where do I listen your music Arcade?, Do you have SoundCloud account or Spotify account?
This video is dayum good coz lots of time we watch masterclass but not understand what pro producer say. This is really helpful #Arcade Thanks for this we need more video like this.
I really loved that future house thing. I'm a big 3rd Prototype fan and would love to make songs like them. But nonetheless, this was an amazing tutorial! Thank you as always Arcade.
Hey mate, thanks for the tips! I already knew a lot of these, but it is very hard for me to apply some of them. My biggest problem is to layer sounds that sound good together. I dont know how to approach it: Which sound should I choose first? Why is it good to layer a Pluck/Flute/... on top of it? How to process them correctly? How do you mix them? Do you mix them one by one or do you mix them after you have chosen all your layers? I guess this is one of the hardest parts to learn and master as a producer.. I watch a lot of YT videos to improve my sounds, but I havent really seen a good video which talks about these topics in detail.
Number one is to write your song. Then when you layer your sounds it essential to use different frequencies for the same sound. You have a bass that only play in the lower register and a bass that plays in the higher register. That makes layering easier.
Please can make tutorials about deep house music in general like how to start them and explain everything pls i have already watched ur deep house live it was fya bug pls do another tutorial and explain everything like how to start a deep house track

Hey man!! Love this. What PC do you use because I’m thinking of going from a laptop to a PC and I was wondering what would be some good ones to run FL and doesn’t lag with CPU and all that. Please let me know. Thanks a lot mate!!
Also you forgot to mention a gold tip of KSHMR saying that when you got a lot of sounds and you want to make stand out one more in some desired frequencies, insert Trackspacer on your master synth bus and sidechained the sound you want to stand out to this track. I used it a lot with vocals.

10:19 this is why layering is one of the most important steps in music. The intruments stand out even more
