    I can't tell you how many videos I've listened to and watched, well attempted to listen and watch, before finding yours which are so pleasant to listen to and view. They are so informational, and I love love love they way you do not drag out your demonstrations. You demonstrate and explain at the same time then move on to finished product. Way to go Shaunna. I'm very impressed and a forever fan of your demonstrations. Thank you, your videos are so very helpful! Great job!

I know what you mean by searching the internet for methods... My fingers start to seize up from the nerve damage I have so I have given up to look... I have a tremendous sewing / craft room I've made for when I retire here in a couple years, maybe one or two more years I can work but it's getting harder and harder with my damages , so I created my craft ing an sew room for when that happens and I retire.So you making this video helped soooo much now I won't have to search Internet. I'll go right to yours to get some methods, thanks so much again all your wreaths were wonderful.....P.D.

    OMG thank you so much for posting this!! I started making wreaths three or four months ago donating them to senior living facilities and I to suffer from severe arthritis it has taken over my body very suddenly and especially my hands. I have pretty much given up every type of craft I've ever done and started this hoping that I would be able to do it. I ran across 21 inch mesh on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $4 a roll and I loaded up and had no idea what I was going to do with it because I had been trying for 3 months to fight with these pipe cleaners and I hate them!! It would literally take me all day to do one wreath and then it was just horrible looking! Definitely subscribed and I absolutely love that tool that you spoke of 😍I am going straight to Harbor Freight and pick one up today! Thank you so much!

      a friend of mine recommended cutting them down with a heat sealer or wood burner so that it makes 4 rolls of 5 inch or 3 rolls of 6 inch mesh. I did try it but I don't know if it was me not doing it correctly, or the type of mesh, but it seemed to fray a LOT more that way. It might be worth a try if you get it discounted...

    I found this your video so incredibly helpful!! Thank you for compiling this information and demonstrating each method. One question: what is your recommended method for cutting mesh to minimize fraying?

    • @ghetto_cupcake
      @ghetto_cupcake 2 года назад

      I got a wood burning tool from Dollar General for $10. I saw a video where they used it to cut, well melt It I guess would be the correct way to describe it. Just run it down the mesh like you would a rotary tool. That's what I do and it works perfectly!

    • @Kitobby
      @Kitobby  2 года назад

      I use either a rotary cutter, impulse sealer, or wood burner. I use a rotary cutter if the method I'm doing will hide the raw edges of the mesh. I use a wood burner for poly burlap and an impulse sealer for other mesh.

For example putting a circle in the middle, or a sign, or bows or a big bow… I hope I’m making sense. lol. I have bases made at home, but I don’t know where to go from there.

    On the folded ruffle how long do you cut your mesh?

  • @lindahyden
    @lindahyden 2 года назад

    Thank you so much for doing this; it was fabulous, A question: Do all these wreaths use only one roll of 21" mesh or do any of use more than one.

    • @Kitobby
      @Kitobby  2 года назад

      It really just depends on the wreath. Most of my designs use more than 1 mesh - but not usually the whole roll.

    What I find more important than the mesh, is where and how many pipe cleaners you need and where to place on the form. That is the foundation of the final shape. The rest is easy. Can you please always start with that information to help us newbies?

    Which method do you recommend when adding a lot of ribbon tails?

    • @Kitobby
      @Kitobby  2 года назад

      If the ribbon tails will be more of the focus and not the mesh - I would really just do a ruffle because it's quick and easy.

      That actually came from a local floral supply company that has went out of business. But check Paper Mart - I believe they had one similar.

    You only use smaller wreath frames. Can these methods be used on the larger frames?

    • @Kitobby

      Hi Kathy,
      Yes you can use these methods on larger frames - you would just need to add additional mesh based on the size that you are using.

    • @Kitobby
      @Kitobby  2 года назад

      Each one of the bases are a little different. The measurements used are at the beginning of each method. There is not a standard "I used 1 10 yard roll" for each method. On some I even used up some remnant rolls that I had on hand.
