  • How to Make a Deco Mesh Wreath - Ruffle and Curl Wreath Base Tutorial - Ruffle Wreath Base Tutorial Using 30" Cuts - Ruffle Wreath
    #decomeshwreath #wreathmaking #wreathtutorial #howtomakeawreath
Do you want to learn how to make a wreath? Need a DIY wreath-making video for beginners? In this video, I show you how to make a Ruffle and Curl deco mesh wreath base using 2 different colors of 10" deco mesh. By using deco mesh cut into 30" pieces, you will have to make fewer cuts and make fewer ruffles to cover your wreath base form. To create a full deco mesh wreath base, I use the wreath making technique of the ruffle method and add some curls to add a contrasting color mesh. I use a 14" wire frame with (18) stems.

Just wanted to say, I love your tutorials. I have only been making wreaths 5 months. Watch a lot if tutorials. I just want the instruction without all the chit chat. I fast forward through many. I had been making the poof with about dozen different tutorials. Then I came across your zig zag. I mastered my poof after watching your vid. Not only do I measure, I use the wreath set up you showed and I have been making and selling them all. Been doing this method, but fraying like crazy. I am going to try using 30”. Can’t wait

    Melissa,
Thank you again for all the inspiration you give. Also I love the colors you put together. I bought the tinsel tie strands and was intimidated on how to use them now my wire work wreaths can look more professional. I use pipe cleaners but really like the look of the work wreath and tinsel wreath. I also love watching your tutorials and when you do the relaxed facetine. Also thank you for sharing in your hauld. I have bought some of the things you ordered after seeing them.
    Thank you,
    Kim

Yes exactly. Go slow and get the technique down. Speed comes over time and practice. As always, if you don't like the way it looks, take it apart and start again. Mesh is forgiving and can be used again.

I am also wondering, if creating my own work form with chenille stems, if it would still be 18 stems for the 16” form. Very new to this, Thank you so much!
