    veronica here! today im going to show you how to get BEAUTIFUL #lowlights for blending gray hair.
    HIGHLIGHTS
    01:07 the game plan
    02:08 FOILING the hair
    02:40 the FINAL look
    today i'm going to show you a super quick video on how to BLEND OUT gray hair. oftentimes, we have clients that want to get rid of some of their gray hair, but maybe not necessarily all of their gray hair. they want to have a color that's going to be low maintenance because if they have quite a bit of gray and you put a solid color on them, what's going to happen is that in two or three weeks? they're going to see that great big line of demarcation. clients like amanda don't want to have to come into the salon all the time like that, so what I'm going to do is an awesome LOWLIGHTS technique that breaks up the gray, that gets rid of a good chunk of the gray, and softens the whole look.with your clients, you get to play with whether you want to do all slices, slices and weaves, or all weaves.

    My regrowth is very light gray ...almost white. As I transition from brunette to natural ( now very light) I will be adding LOW lights. Also I need root touch up products ( currently only in black, brown, light brown, blonde) in gray! Different shades of gray or very ash light brown. Yours is the first video that shows a different option than highlights. I have very light regrowth all over my head. I will need help with 1- demarcation line during transition and 2 - lowlights, toning for after transition is complete and 3- gray root products to blend my white regrowth between salon visits

    • @nvennhairbeauty
      @nvennhairbeauty  3 года назад

      That can all be handled in one appointment. The closer they can lowlight your hair to your natural grey growth pattern, the less likely you'll need grey root products. If you're totally white then there will always be some sort of demarcation line but it could be subtle.

      hey hey this is jessica! how are you? i can help you for her! how well do you know the law of color and color terminology? i'll try to explain this very simply but if you need a visual, i will link a video for you. its tough to describe a technical process with words. ruclips.net/video/b_gWo4u1mSk/видео.html
      the under pigment of brown color lives in the family of red oranges. if you are trying to lowlight your hair the same way in the video, ash browns will take the longest to show that underlying red pigment. that being said, leave any color long enough, it will fade and eventually show the underpigment.
      this is where quality color save shampoos and conditioners (like nvenn's wash and polish') really help to prolong the fading. I'll link another video here if you want to know why. ruclips.net/video/6OIzoM4YKEU/видео.html
      just like our clothes fade a little bit every time they are in the washer and dryer so does our hair💕. cooler water, less heat, heat shields etc will all help to prolong color fading. hopefully that helps!

      hmmm no not really because there is no cookie cutter grey hair blending technique. everyone's hair would be slightly different depending on where they are greying and how dense the grey is😬 if you have a stylists that knows what they are doing you could probably get away with only needing to get it done once every 6-8 months (well that's actually pending on where you are greying exactly). have you consulted a stylist in your local area to see?

    • @nvennhairbeauty
      @nvennhairbeauty  Год назад +1

      If she uses purple shampoo then it won't go brassy. And as long as she is using good products and protecting it from the sun it shouldn't fade too much. That being said, all color needs maintenance to some degree so if the top layer is a bit faded, just touch up the lowlights again. It should be easy enough to pick out

    • @nvennhairbeauty
      @nvennhairbeauty  Год назад

      Anytime any color is added to the hair, there will be a slight demarcation line because it will never grow out to the same placement we put in. That being said, if the foils are placed in synergy with the natural hair, the demarcation line will be minimal. Great question though! xoxo

      Beautiful!
      It depends how well your hair holds color and how quickly it grows out. On average our clients get theirs redone every 6-8 weeks. At the end of the day, what makes a color look natural is when its vibrant and there's minimal roots.
      By 6-8 weeks, the color has usually faded a bit and there is now regrowth

    Hi
    My hair was salt and pepper from roots to my shoulders then the same again length blonde growing out ,I've just had some brown and grey low lights semi colour with foils and the rest with toner as I want to grow my natural down so this is what was suggested to me because I don't want visible regrowth .. can I have your thoughts please x

    • @nvennhairbeauty
      @nvennhairbeauty  Год назад

      To truly blend it, you will need to turn your ends into the color of your roots. A true salt and pepper will be challenging to blend because it's so diffused. What I would do is use a really fine weave to bleach out your existing color. Then color the hair that's left out of the foil to whatever your natural color is without the grey.
      I hope that helps. Let me know how it turns out!

    I’m a hairstylist and my aunt has all over gray (almost white) hair, with no color on the ends at all. What would you suggest for her color? I’m thinking a technique like this so she doesn’t have the demarcation line in 3 weeks like you said. But with her gray being so so light I’m not sure.

    • @nvennhairbeauty
      @nvennhairbeauty  4 года назад +1

      WELLLLL if shes almost white and she doesn't want any demarcation line yet she wants to soften the "white" i would probably lowlight it with a level 10 ash (or at most a level 9 ash). anything darker will be too dark and it would give her "visible grow out" regardless of the technique. does she want color or are you convincing her to do it?

    • @nvennhairbeauty
      @nvennhairbeauty  3 года назад

      It would really depend on how quickly the client's hair grows. As we age, our hair growth slows down tremendously. That being said, sometimes people start going grey at an early age. For people that have regular hair growth, probably once every 6-8 weeks. For clients with slowed hair growth, it can be anywhere from 4-6 months. You will need to access each client differently
