Hi Joe & Audrey, I'm from the UK🇬🇧 and follow your channel religiously. I hold the USA 🇺🇸 close to my heart after numerous visits! If I had my time again, I would seriously consider a permanent move. I'd also like to tell you about my aunt who was also called Audrey, and lived in a lovely part of Massachusetts, called Marlborough. The name Audrey brings back the fondest of memories for me. Love watching and listening to your channel. Keep up the great work🇬🇧🇺🇲. A very Happy Birthday Audrey 🎂 X.
Between 1886 and 1959, the price of a 6.5 US fl oz (190 mL) glass or bottle of Coca-Cola was set at five cents. Happy Birthday, Audrey! Love the videos. Thanks
Happy Birthday, beautiful and lovely Audrey. I hope you enjoy your time with your father. I remember Coke being sold for ten cents a bottle in the early to mid 1960's, no tax and in NYC.
Hi there, Joe & Audrey and Happy Birthday to you Audrey, too!!! I was just a kid in the 50’s and some sodas were still 5 cents when we could afford to splurge to buy them. Also, candy bar and ice cream cups with a wooden spoon were 5 cents. Some pieces of candy were just a penny! Nehi Pops had an amazing assortment of flavors in their unique shaped bottles!! Thanks for showing us around the Canton Trade Days, really mind-blowing experience!! Safe Travels!!!
@neilsaunders & @teddibayer there was also a 10 cent ice cream cup that had a special flavor in the center of it! I definitely remember Chocolate and I believe Strawberry and/or Cherry and maybe something else. Couldn’t afford to buy them hardly at all! Thanks for the replies.
Looked like a very beautiful day for your daughters 25th birthday...Thanks for sharing the flee market site!..great video..Loved it. Safe travels to St. Louis...looking forward to seeing your next video "God's Safe Keeping for you all.🌼
It would be nice if they stopped by St. Louis, MO, while traveling to East St. Louis, Illinois. It is beautiful this time of year.😊 Happy belated birthday to Audrey.
First off, Happy Birthday Audrey! Second off, I love your videos, especially the Texas ones. I spent a lot of time in small town Texas as a kid in the 70's and early 80's, including Wills Point. I was told that old theater was the longest running movie theater in the USA, who knows if that was true or not. I just remember being frustrated as a teenage punk rock skateboarder that there was almost no asphalt in that town! Brick streets, wood sidewalks, gravel roads....
Happy birthday Audrey! I’m so glad you toured Wills Point! That’s where I grew up and it was a great place to grow up!and yes, I remember that hunted house lol.
At that rate, we can say hyper inflation if shrinkflation is also taken into account. Not only are we paying more, but the sizes and servings are way smaller.
I wish it was $5 a bottle now. Maybe my wife would quit drinkin’ it….but I doubt it. In the mid-‘50’s mom paid a dime from the machine in our a neighborhood market. I was in the kid seat of the basket.
Your daughter is a nice looking young lady what i like she is not covered in ink and no purple ,green are blue hair ,you got to be proud of her,by the way she has a beautiful smile happy birthday Audrey.
That was Amtrak''s Texas Eagle, which travels between Chicago and San Antonio that went by at the first town. And according to Mr. Google, a glass or bottle of Coke was held at 5 cents between 1886 and 1959! Nice towns. I could almost smell the food at that Flea Market. I hope you enjoyed your freshly squeezed Coke! LOL.
What a cool video. I feel like at this point I should go back and watch your videos in order, so thanks in advance for actually having the 'From the beginning' playlist. Not enough RUclipsrs do that for my liking.
Another awesome trip! I am late to the party. Your daughter is a very lovely young lady Joe and Nicole. Happy belated Birthday Audrey!🎂 I feel like such an old man saying it's so great to see such nice young people these days. lol. 😄
What a blessing for a man to have a charming daughter with a radiant smile. It's evident she's fond of her father and genuinely enjoyed a day out with him. Those wide brick roads in the center of Wills Point will never wear out since the friction they mainly get is from rolling rubber tires. Great investment by the town in 1922. I also found appealing the town's raised sidewalk with canopied store fronts the whole length, some wooden, propped by poles at the sidewalk's edge. Reminiscent of classic 19th c. Texas towns seen in pictures and movies. Grand Saline! Sitting on a subterranean mountain of salt big enough to provide the world's needs for 20,000. years. An amazing fact! Loved the story behind the 'sweetheart plot' and the marvelously carved headstones. East St. Louis? Right! I'll be there.
Audrey, happy birthday to you on this day of joy.Let God keep and Preserve you, showing you your great destiny and the great purpose for which HE brought you into the World. At 25years of age you appear to have a lot of wisdom and intuition:I pray God reveal to you speedily your very Colourful Destiny.
Happy Birthday Audrey! It sounded like you guys had a good day together! What a great way to spend some of your time home before going back on the road… As far as Coke being sold at .05 cents for a 6.5oz bottle, it says it was hat price from 1886 to 1959 with very little fluctuation in price between that time period.
Flea markets are so cool. My son loves them. He would spend all day at that one. No cat sightings, maybe next time, still a great video. That's awesome you made your own movie and had your daughter in it. What a treat. Happy birthday Audrey! Thanks guys, much love as always.
Another great video and what a lovely daughter you have. I know you are very proud of her. Who has a better life than you do? The answer is nobody! You get to drive around the U.S.A. with your choice of 2 smart and beautiful women. Best wishes on your next adventure, Sincerely Jim Thornton
Let's have more videos with Audrey and Dad.What a sweet girl she is and she is so sweet with Joe. Happy belated Birthday Audrey. I came across this youtube few days ago and boy I feel like I'm right there with you Joe. I appreciate all the home work you do for each place ya'll visit. I have learned so much about our country thur your eyes.God Bless to you and your family. .
I went on a road trip from Austin to Brownsvile and then to Dallas before heading back to Austin back in 2001. Texas is a beatiful state. Great video brother.
When i was a kid in Tn the ladies would collect water from a salt spring and simmer it down in big pots like you showed until it was paste and then dry it out on screen.
It's great you got to spend time with your daughter on her birthday. She looks just like her mother! Hope yall had a safe trip! Always look forward to your videos!
Very sweet and attractive daughter! Happy Birthday! Flea Market can be hit or miss. Somewhere in all the junk is a treasure. And just a nice place for folks to mingle on a weekend.
Well happy birthday Audery! I too havea daughter im very proud of. So nice tosee the two of youdoing thistogether. Great vids as always Joe. Sorry first time seeing this.
1886 was when Coke sold for 5 cents. It didn't go up in price for 70 years, per article on internet anyway. Happy Birthday Audrey. Your daughter is lovely Joe.
Very interesting, I remember as a young kid I was at the old country store and someone from coke came in and changed the price on the coke cooler to 6 cents. Wow, that upset a lot of people.
@@nancyparker9986 I kind of thought that it was a second marriage because he flaunts her body like she’s his trophy. In fact I mentioned that there are a lot of not very nice people out that could take advantage.
Good on you Joe. Dad and daughter time is exquisite, as they soften our hearts.❤️ My “little girl” turns 25 in August and I’m tickled pink that I’ll get to spend time with her. 🥰
I used to live in Lubbock, TX and it had a similar influx of people like Canton. The city is around 250k people but busy time on the weekend sees somewhere around 500-600k people in the town.
Just watched this episode..That sausage on a stick...hmmm..It looked pretty rich..A nice laid back day for your birthday..No bar hopping on this one..a good thing..
American Travelogue: since we've tuned in to your ever-expanding series, we've noticed that frequently after a hard day of exploring historical highpoints a tumbler of Jack-on-Ice is chosen as a reward for the weary travellers. We got curious,,,travelled to the local dispensary and found said vessel of amber liquid in a 750ml quantity,,,escorted it home and married it with some glacial ice. Heavenly ambrosia to say the least. We are now amongst the legions of converted. Thank you!
That is awesome your daughter would spend her 25th birthday on the road with you. I imagine these trips are more your hobby than hers. It's always fun to check out unique places.
Fathers and daughters always have a special bond ....like moms and sons....
Happy birthday Audrey
Sometimes I wish I was born a few decades sooner to experience some of this stuff first hand. Very cool old towns!
Audrey is a wonderful young lady . Happy birthday Audrey hope to see you in more videos 🎉🎉🎉🎉

You're making me think of that classic Twilight Zone episode, "Walking Distance"!
The little ice cream cups were called, "Dixie Cups", as I remember. I used to buy them when I was little, in the 1950's.
Always a great day when spent with a daughter!
That’s wonderful, father and daughter hanging out, just enjoying each other’s company. I love it. Happy birthday 🎉 Audrey.

Audrey ROCKS! ...Happy Birthday! ... 40 minutes of fun ... loved the flea market ...
The price of coke was 5 cents from 1886 to 1959
Inflation really increased in 1971 when Nixon took us off of the gold standard. The dollar has been devalued ever since.
At that rate, we can say hyper inflation if shrinkflation is also taken into account. Not only are we paying more, but the sizes and servings are way smaller.

That Rexall sign, more like 500-700.
Everything changed since 1960s
When women joined the workforce
Happy Birthday Audrey.

I don’t think Nicole is her biological mother
