Personally, I think this is the best episode I've shot on my channel since it's start 4 weeks ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Also, check below.😎👇🏾

The faster the world turns the more we seek nostalgia. Antiquing might be considered recreational shopping, escapism, or therapeutic. Have fun, life is too short.

If you like antiquing, then Round Top Texas is a capital of antiquing in all the state of Texas. I believe the two big festivals happen in March and in October.

I totally agree with your statement because I've been doing exactly so. I won't even watch modern television anymore because it's sickening. I now watch old black and white movies that were popular in my parent's hay day. I really wish we could all click our heels three times and go back to better days 😢

I just discovered your channel & I love it! I’m 68 & have lived in Texas all my life but there’s a lot of little towns, like Roundtop, that I never heard of. And I never knew, or even imagined, there was a concert hall in Texas that was as big & beautiful as this one in Roundtop! I’m going to try to make it there for a concert this summer! I hope you do a video on Rusk Texas. Rusk even has the huge steps that led to a college in the late 1800’s-early 1900’s. They also have the longest foot bridge in Texas!

My wife and I, by accident, drove along 287 from La Grange to Hwy 290 during one of the antique weekends. Never again. That traffic is horrible, and the crowds. People parked along 287, not just in the fields. We will definitely visit on one of the out of season weekends. Thanks for trying the Pecan Pie. My wife loves it. I’ll hit the peanut butter or red velvet.

About the real estate situation, from what I gather, is that if and when a house comes on the market, it is sold before it's listed as a lucrative Air B&B.

You should come up to Taylor Texas! We’re off of hwy 79, about 40min outside of Austin. There’s been a lot of recent small businesses opening in our downtown area. The old Taylor high school has also been turned into a mixed use development, with some shops, a few bars and restaurants, including a small food trailer area. It’s a lot of fun!!

Just so it is clear; the building in the center of the Round Top town square is not an inn or hotel, it is one of five justice precinct courthouses which still exist in Fayette County; the others being in Fayetteville, Schulenburg, Flatonia, and Muldoon. Round Top was settled in the 1840s and 1850s by numerous German immigrants, which displaced the former English residents. Really enjoyed your talk with Jimmy Dick. 😊
