Once you ask someone to get out and they don’t, you can call the cops and have them trespassed from your property, the car. While a driver can cancel the trip, in this situation I wouldn’t, because any driving that had been completed prior to this he’d lose the money for and in canceling, it would leave him open to a rating from them and the prospect of them getting in touch with Uber and getting him fired. Unfortunately, no matter in normal life or for those in trouble, you are not innocent until proven guilty, you are guilty and have to prove your innocence. Uber would fire him and then make him prove what he has said is true and they will block you from the app until they take however many business days it takes to actually see the person they hired to drive for them is the honest one and the rider is a liar. Always, always have a dash cam to prove your innocence.

DownButNotOutYet I enjoy some of the experiences I have in Rideshare and as far as dealing with negative passengers you be surprised at the way people treat you whether it be the hood the more affluent areas or the suburbs. There are both good and bad passengers and various neighborhoods.
DownButNotOutYet where are you hearing this? Last year I was able to average out about 17$ an hour working 15 or so hours a week. Crappy passengers RARELY happen, as well. But if you avoid crappy areas, you avoid crappy people.
These people are very rare. I've done 1k+ rides never ran into any idiots like this. You get ppl who try to fit more but most understand and get out. Some think you're an employee and they have a right to sit in your car but I've never ran into anybody like that *knock on wood*

My biggest concern with these types of passengers are their lack of self respect and concern for personal safety. They would rather argue, WASTE THEIR OWN TIME (and the drivers), and get stressed out over a driver refusing to compromise their safety! These girls probably ordered the correct type of ride with appropriate seating when their night 1st began and realized how much it cost. It probably wasn't an issue until they spent a shitload of money partying then the passenger ordering the pickup didn't have enough in her account to cover a slightly larger fare so they decided to try swindling this driver by making excuses. The number of nighttime drivers WITHOUT A DASHCAM OR RECORDING DEVICE is very small and the # of platform drivers WILLING to accept more passengers than available seatbelts IS PRACTICALLY NON-EXISTENT. Its a shame that so much negative energy was created and projected merely over a drivers refusal to compromise the safety of passengers during transport.
I've seen this scenario in so many videos. So, when a driver sees a whole bunch of people approaching the vehicle why do they leave their doors unlocked and let them all start piling in before asking how many people are planning on taking the trip? Once they're in, it's pretty obvious that they're not going to get out without an argument.
Two questions - first, do things like this happen often? Second, is there any disclaimer, either on the app or in your vehicle, that the ride may be recorded? Some states do require all parties to be informed that they may be recorded.

The police in Buffalo suck. Where I live this would not be happening. First of all these girls wouldn't be able to talk over the police and the police wouldn't be allowing them to stay in the car for as long as they were. This is insane.
Criminal justice major who cannot count, only 4 seatbelts + a driver's seatbelt!=STUPIDITY & IGNORANCE! ONE SHOULD SPECIFY IF THEY NEED A SUV OR VAN!!! ALL CARS HAVE EITHER 3-4 MAXIMUM PASSENGER SEATS & SEATBELTS! Also, in public, one cannot expect privacy & the driver can definitely record in his or her private property! ie- private vehicle!!!!

What a complete waste of everyone's time. These girls had their ride cancelled for trying to over crowd this man's car and he cancelled the ride. Now they've wasted 30 minutes of his time plue the time of 3 police officers to come out (when they have better things to do) and talk them out of the car. Un-f'king believable!

My biggest concern with these types of passengers are their lack of self respect and concern for personal safety. They would rather argue, WASTE THEIR OWN TIME (and the drivers), and get stressed out over a driver refusing to compromise their safety!
These girls probably ordered the correct type of ride with appropriate seating when their night 1st began and realized how much it cost. It probably wasn't an issue until they spent a shitload of money partying then the passenger ordering the pickup didn't have enough in her account to cover a slightly larger fare so they decided to try swindling this driver by making excuses.
The number of nighttime drivers WITHOUT A DASHCAM OR RECORDING DEVICE is very small and the # of platform drivers WILLING to accept more passengers than available seatbelts IS PRACTICALLY NON-EXISTENT.
Its a shame that so much negative energy was created and projected merely over a drivers refusal to compromise the safety of passengers during transport.

I've seen this scenario in so many videos. So, when a driver sees a whole bunch of people approaching the vehicle why do they leave their doors unlocked and let them all start piling in before asking how many people are planning on taking the trip? Once they're in, it's pretty obvious that they're not going to get out without an argument.

Two questions - first, do things like this happen often? Second, is there any disclaimer, either on the app or in your vehicle, that the ride may be recorded? Some states do require all parties to be informed that they may be recorded.
