The Garden Route II Fishing for new Species

Time to get back to winter fishing.
On this trip we went to the Garden Route coastline and fished new ground for a change, tough terrain but the reward is bigger fish and a big variety of species. An absolute privilege to have been there with my two friends Graaitjie and Corrie, we caught Galjoen, Bronze Bream, Red Roman, Poensies, Yellowbelly Rockod ext
3 new species for me, and thats always special, Graaitjie got his first Wildeperd and Corrie got his first Roman.. Graaitjie lost what may have been the targeted specie, the White musselcracker.. but we will certainly go back and look for him.
On this trip it taught me the importance of knowing your species and what baits the prefer, we knew there were a lot of species but we still know what we targeted.

Thanks Zubair, an awesome place to fish, wish I could live there..but the bronze bream tasted great, I also kept one for my dad as that was the fish they targeted in PE when he was young and he fried it up, was 10 times better

@@saltaholic5235 yes I see that 3 new species in 1 day is awesome! The last 2 weeks have been relatively quiet. Which is strange because the Sards keep popping up here and there still and we still getting Shad some parts of the day. The game fish have been rather scarce the last 2 weeks. The sea has been really big, huge swell! And it’s really clean. Visibility excellent. This week looks promising weather and conditions looking good for fishing. Shot Henk, take care and stay safe 👊

Lekker manne. Eks mal oor julle gees. Ou Corrie jy is n sport. Victor die feit dat jy die video gemaak het beteken jy het uit gemis op die Olimpiese spele. Maat ons harte gaan uit na jou. Hi Guys, I find it rather contradictory when promote conservation then you perform a barbaric ritual of eating the eye of a fish that should have been returned to the sea. Your fishing ethics are a bit skewed.😰
So you as a fisherman are not allowed to keep a single fish??
Remember we are all fisherman, we do our part to promote sustainable fishing, it does not mean release everything you catch.. It's being selective on what we keep and what needs to go back..Some fisherman actually eat fish
