Finally, a premium leather bible in giant print. I have had eye surgery and need a larger print. At age 65 and retired, this is what I have been waiting for. I wish some of the other publishers would follow suit. There is a need for this format. Thank you for letting us know about this very nice premium bible. I will definitely get one. Thanks again. 😊
Last week, I got the burgundy goatskin version of this Bible and I kid you not, I was absolutely blown away. This is now my new number one Bible! The typesetting, the beautiful typeface, the font size, the 10 point notes, the translation, everything about this Bible reeks of excellence. Reading it is SO easy on the eyes. The font and size are as perfect as it gets. This Bible sets a new standard in comfortable reading. Oh, and those nice BOLDED verse numbers are amazing!
I hear that I recently bought an LSB ICR and was also very impressed - from the paper quality to the font size and type face to the translation you can feel every bit of care and attention to detail they put into these Bibles.
Thanks, Tim. LSB is my favorite translation. I’ve indulged in buying each of their edge lined editions, but I need to say “when” and pass on this one. It is beautiful though, but the Large Print Reference is my comfort reader. 😊
Gidday Tim. That is a stunning bible!!!! The size font is certainly a winner for me. I, in fact, have a ESV that has a 17pt type and it's beautiful! I have several translations, and I must say the CSB and NASB are my favourites. Hope you and Becca are doing well, and thanks for sharing 🙂 xx
Love your channel brother. We're so blessed to have access to so many options that can help connect us with God's word and to explore and understand everything He's done for us. I love you all and pray that you stay healthy and safe with everything you need to live according to His plan for you.
Similar experience. The giant print is not excessive, and makes this a reading dream. The 10 pt references and footnotes are so easier to use. The verse number in text and references being bolded make this paragraph format stand out. Absolutely incredible design...this block may get to legendary status. I have handled both the cowhide and goatskin editions. Both are great, however the goatskin edition is such a classy treat. Translation is incredible too. Be sure to read the foreward to appreciate the names of God, and terminology of doulos unique to it. Great review Tim, I concur!
Excellent and very helpful review! I actually opted for the 11 pt type, center column verse by verse LSB hardback reference Bible. Going to 316 now to order one. Thanks for keeping us up on the 316 LSB reference Bibles.😊🙏📖
I recently purchased this and agree it's a very nice Bible format. I have a preference for paragraph format and font size at minimum of 9 but prefer 10 or 11. When I ordered I wondered if 13 was going to be too large but have found it to be comfortable. I never planned to have this as a carry around (too large) but one I could comfortably read at my desk or chair. The cross references and notes are a plus. I do have the 2 column verse by verse format to carry to church and like it too.
I purchased one in faux leather...second faux leather I have purchased from Steadfast. I really like the feel of this Bible. I have switched to this giant print for my daily reader...
I"ve been looking for a way to study the bible marking up pages. Everything I find is too small font or too thin paper. I was planning to print pages one book at a time in the LSB text so I could enlarge the text and work with on the page. I will seriously consider this. thank you for bringing it up!
I switched to the LSB a bit more than two years ago, after using the 1995 NASB for 20 years or so. The three copies I have aren't really, any of them, exactly what I want, but I *love* the translation.
I get a kick out of what they call large print Bibles. 13 point is one point above the standard size for a business letter. It is certainly not giant print. And it is not large print. It is normal print. I have a Bible that says it's super giant print. It's font 18 so I would call it giant print. my mother-in-law had a Bible that was 22 point. Now that is super giant print. In other words, when these Bible publishers are declaring that a certain point size is large or extra larger giant, etc., they are wittingly deceiving. I think the Bible calls it lying. Decades ago, 13 point was not considered large print. Everything has shifted for marketing manipulation.
Tim, if I may ask, what is your current opinion about the LSB Giant Print edition? Is the LSB the Bible you use as a classroom and pulpit Bible? Thank you.
@@timwildsmiththank you. What is your current opinion with regard to the overall "accuracy" and modified-literalism of the LSB. I have read some of the well known Hebrew and Greek scholars who rate it as the "best" current English version for students who are looking for a translation "closest" to the ancient manuscripts in modern English.
I hope 316 makes their two column or handy sized into a reference bible. It would be a goldilocks bible. Let me add they should make a modern cambridge concord style reference bible.
What is your favorite sub 50$ Bible? I love the lol of the premium bikes you share but unfortunately don't have the budget for one. However I get asked all the time by new christians for a resource to help them find their first Bible.
@@timwildsmith thank you. I am new to your content (love it so far) however have not had time to comb through all of your previous content yet. I am super excited to watch this video. God bless you, your family, and your ministry
The modern Bible versions like the LSB say the opposite of the KJV in certain verses. For example, the KJV calls those who worshipped idols “superstitious,” whereas the LSB calls idol worshippers “religious.” “Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.” (Acts 17:22 KJV) “So Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects.” (Acts 17:22 LSB) The Zionist disciples of Satan were able to change their Bibles to make Israel a "spreading vine" in the NIV and even a "luxuriant vine" in the NASB, ESV, and the LSB in Hosea 10:1. God, however, states that "Israel is an empty vine" in his KJV Holy Bible at Hosea 10:1. “Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.” (Hosea 10:1 KJV) “Israel is a luxuriant vine; He produces fruit for himself. The more abundant his fruit, The more altars he abounded; The better his land, The better he made the sacred pillars.” Hosea 10:1 LSB) So we know from that issue that the KJV is God’s word or the modern Bible versions are God’s word. They cannot say the opposite of one another and both be God’s word. This is a foundational issue. This is a major issue. There is no middle ground here. "Choose ye this day whom ye will serve." I have the single column handy size with cowhide leather, absolutely love it.
herringbone pattern, I believe. Great review! Thank you, Tim.

Good morning everyone!! Hope everybody’s having a great week so far. Thanks Tim for what you do. How’s the book coming along? I can’t wait to read it.
Book Update coming soon!
It has a really clean look. I am really impressed, it seems to have everything you would need in a really large print.✝️✝️✝️

Nice!
Now, that's a much better review!!
Awesome Bible. I need this for studying!
I'll sure buy one when it comes with a thumb index. It's very important to me.
What a stunning bible, thanks Tim. I will be buying the indexed version with cowhide.
Good choice!

I think it's very accurate, just like the NASB 95 (which is it very close to).
This video just keeps getting better. Look at the case!
would love to hear your thoughts on LSB vs ESV vs NRSV

I loved huge, thick bibles until I got my Thomas Nelson thinline. It’s easy to hold, but you get the footprint of a big bible.
I love this channel
Thanks so much!
Awesome review!
Thanks!
Finall a decent sized font?
Great review. Is this available in words of Christ in red?
Don’t like those glossy maps , wish they would use the ones that are a slight card stock like in my Schuyler Stridon NASB 2020
I want this bible with red text for when Jesus speaks in the gospels but with this font
I'll have to check this out. Thanks for the review! Have you ever checked out or done a review on the NET translation? What are your thoughts?
Yep! Several videos in the back catalog. Love it.
@@timwildsmith after I posted I did a search and found them! Should have done that first haha thanks for the response.
I think it's herringbone around the edge of the box.
Thank you so much for your review. How would you compare it to the size of the Schuyler Quentel? Thank you 😊
It’s definitely thicker… and slightly larger on the trim size.
Oh, I need at least a 10 pt.
I love big, chunky Bibles!!!

Chevron maybe?🤷🏾♀️
I like that!
Hi nice review. No. Not right for me. Something I am just not sure about. But the big or larger type face is good.
Fair enough!
What Bibles use the Majority Text?
None of the major translations.
@@timwildsmith isn't that odd? Like all the major versions are "minority" text.
@timwildsmith Technically, none of the texts are different in any meaningful way, yet the Majority is not used. Odd.
The modern Bible versions like the LSB say the opposite of the KJV in certain verses. For example, the KJV calls those who worshipped idols “superstitious,” whereas the LSB calls idol worshippers “religious.”
“Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.” (Acts 17:22 KJV)
“So Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects.” (Acts 17:22 LSB)
The Zionist disciples of Satan were able to change their Bibles to make Israel a "spreading vine" in the NIV and even a "luxuriant vine" in the NASB, ESV, and the LSB in Hosea 10:1. God, however, states that "Israel is an empty vine" in his KJV Holy Bible at Hosea 10:1.
“Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.” (Hosea 10:1 KJV)
“Israel is a luxuriant vine; He produces fruit for himself. The more abundant his fruit,
The more altars he abounded; The better his land, The better he made the sacred pillars.” Hosea 10:1 LSB)

I would prefer if the print was darker, more bold
❤❤❤
Looks so expensive I can’t afford this.
I need something bigger than 13 but then I'd have to work on my upper body strength to carry it. 😁
🤣
Harring bone guild line
Nice but not better than the LSB ICR.
No hard covers. Too heavy.
