I love Summer Fridays ShadeDrops. My sensitive skin simply won’t tolerate any chemical sunscreen, so mineral is my only option. My skin is also dry so I stay away from anything with a matte finish. I like a slightly dewy finish, zero white cast, and must play well with my other skincare products (such as my CeraVe Moisturizing Cream,) and Summer Fridays really ticks all the boxes for my brown skin.

I love this video, for me I mainly use Korean sunscreens now. My holygrail is Numbuzin , then Skin1004, and I also like Bioderma European formula. Its just unfortunate we have such limited sun filters in the US. I would really prefer to buy an American brand tbh, like I cant imagine how amazing a Black Girl sunscreen would be with some of the filters used in Australia,Europe or Asia. American formulists really got to work to make our old school filters not suck, imagine what they'd do with the other ones out there.

I'm a Black woman in Colorado and for this super dry winter season, I've fallen in love with the A'pieu Pure Block Aqua Sun Gel (the green one). I had a tube in my cabinet and I only used it until I could get more of the Japanese Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence. I probably stopped using it because it was too moisturizing for warm months, but its been perfect for this dry winter during which I decided to start an adapalene routine for antiaging. Dries to no white cast and no eye sting. I had no issues when using it over severe retinization bumps and flakiness last week. It's now my winter sunscreen and I'll save the Biore for warmer months.

I normally use the Japanese Skin Aqua milk spf 50++++. It's great under makeup or alone. Moisturizing and I sometimes skip the moisturizer with it entirely. Nice soft glow to finish. I just ordered Beauty of Joseon's probiotic sunscreen and Skin1004 sunscreens, as well as a promo I accepted for the Japanese version of KAO Biore. They all feature a sunblock ingredient that's supposed to be the best, but not available in US made sunscreens. I'm going to see if any of them do me better than Skin Aqua milk has.

I must say my favorite sunscreen that does not cause burning, stinging, or breakouts is...Cotz Sensitive NON-Tinted Zinc 3.5oz Face and Body. Yes, it's dewy and the white cast is veryyyyy minimal but it's great under concealer and makes my skin look so luminous and I love it. I will say at first I didn't like the dewiness but after trying so many and being unhappy with their performance, I said I might as well give it a real try and fell in love ( I don't mind shining bright like a Diamond). I've tried a few of the most popular domestic/foreign sunscreens like Beauty of Joseon, Haruharu Wonder Black Rice, Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit, Versed Guards Mineral, CeraVe Tinted, Neutrogena Clear Face, Supergoop Mineral Matte, MDSolarScience and they either broke out my oily acne-prone skin, burned it, the tint was off, cost too much, or just didn't sit right. So after Cotz I stopped my search! It's well worth my peace because I was tired Boss!! 😅 Oh, I'm a Florida Girl so you know it's serious!

I remember Bolden! I remember when they were selling at target. I tried their sunscreen moisturizer but I don't know if it was from that but I noticed I was breaking out so I stopped. I used their other products like their masks tho until recently. I prefer mineral. I've been wearing A or K-Beauty sunscreens exclusively. I am wearing Roundlab birch juice sunscreen lately. It's moisturizing, but leaves a slight cast added i notice some stinging when I apply makeup products like primer. It goes away though.

The Bolden looks nice, as for the Inkey list, I am only willing to do all the rubbing work for an actual mineral sunscreen. my top sunscreens this year have been the Inisfree Daily UV sunscreen, and the Olay mineral sunscren in the tall red tube. Also been altrernating btw the Fenty Beauty mineral and chemical sunscreens. For Body, the Kopari Beauty Sunshield is excellent
