NFS Carbon - Custom Race: Fateful Night

- Fateful Night is a custom created race which aims to re-create the prologue race. A few locations are shown during the game's cutscenes and NIS files, so this track was created using them as base. How this track layout ended up? The video shows it.

The R8 wasn’t out yet when Carbon came out... Audi wasn’t even settled with the name, it was known internally as the "Audi Le Mans Quattro" because it was based of the "Le Mans" prototype, the design of the car in game wasn’t even the final product, like "Angies Dodge Challenger Concept" that also hadn’t came out yet. When it actually came out it was named the "Audi R8". It was more like a bonus they gave us instead of a fully working and fully customizable car like every other car, most likely because Audi didn’t allow it...

i think this and melissa's eclipse needs the spot light like this that it deserves then it would've never been forgotten by others who are iconic.
but it would be cool to see how he got the M3 GTR in the first place.
Well what's fun about the M3 is that it might be the only car in the story that is a true race car as it's not only a BMW M3, it's a BMW M3 GTR, so my guess is that the Hero found it on a race track or that a pro pilot gave it to him.

The Supra was just a placeholder for the M3 GTR at the time because BB hasn’t got the license from BMW yet.
That’s right, you were supposed to drive the M3 in that race.

wow whatever drift mod that is it's the most amazing change I've seen to carbon. it literally does exactly what you imagine the car to do while playing carbon even though without the mod the game doesn't do that
It's the NIS drift mode. That's how the cars react to the handbrake in the cutscenes.
Oscar97o ah that's why it looks so cinematic but also works well for racing. I also noticed that the car accelerates a bit faster when it is getting out of the drift than when it does on straights
it does not accelerate faster, its because the speedo shows the forward speed of your car so when you drift the car is going sideways more so less speed is shown until you straighten out
The three were arrested again and we had to escape to rockport again and Darius framed us,AGAIN!

Something I've always wanted was to able to create my own tracks in any NFS game, but I fear it to not be exactly possible. Or at least not so easy to do it.

Yep. I've heard of these. For this reason many people I know prefer to play Midnight Club 3 because of the track editor. Also, do you know how to hexedit a PS2 savegame to allow me to add the boss/bonus cars to my garage? I've watched some videos on people doing it but they never explain. Both for MW and Carbon, please. :)

I always wondered what happened to that Toyota Supra after the player left Palmont City.
INIKIATHEKINGXX In Pro Street, theres an easter egg where they reported the supra was abandoned in the parking lot
Probably the Player ditched it before going to Palmont because he had too much heat on him and bought the M3 GTR.
Squiggly Doodles the M3 was darius car, in the prologue darius says to the character that he can use his car to left the city

Nikroz16 - the M3 GTR was after he abandoned the Supra and before he entered Rockport. Darius owns the Surpa and the R8 mainly (as seen in the game).

I was curious how this track looked and you made it. Thanks! Such a shame there ain't so much hidden races based on NFSC Story (beside that long track where you beat Kenji, Angie and Wolf)
obviously the main character won that race, all the bosses had level 2 cars and the Supra is a level 3 car. They didn't have any chance.
That race could be the first one available for career with some "How it all began..." text and play this race until to the point where the racers are abused, the gameplay goes into black screen (like mw) and then the actual career starts
this is the part when it all begins with that cutsene with the supra , the charger ,the DB9 and the rx7

How did you get Darius' Supra by the way in the game? Considering it's under the "Custom" category and not in the "My Cars" category when choosing through the cars...
And before anyone talks crap into thinking that it isn't Darius' Supra, it actually is, he made the player use it in the tragic race and was forced to escape, with Darius saying "Go, take my car, get outta here" while the player drives away in the Supra.
I had to mod the game. The preset was "ported" from the Xbox360 Preview/Review Build. I just fixed the car's color.

You can just make on and hexedit the vinyl
on golbalb data not savegame data (and it have difference code enter)

Hey, felipe i know this is not related to carbon but have you ever experienced this weird glitch in most wanted 2005 where it plays absoluteley no cutscenes. FOR example when i start a new game the intro cutscene doesnt play, it jump cuts straight to the race with razor/ ronnie/ bull. not even the final cutscene plays. I have the "MOVIES" folder which contains every cutscene but still doesnt show. ive tried reinstalling the game/files/folder but nothing works. i even tried extra options to enable the cutscene via script. still doesnt show. Ive lost all hope at this point :(

Benjamin McFuckboy It's because ur widescreen options in scripts folder is messed up. Change few numbers with zeroes

this either feels like the supposed prolouge race, or this feels like that: "you told em' the truth and now they forgave you and now they are asking for a rematch so they can race the way it should've been."
i have extra options mod already, how can a edit races like that .. i mean, crews in single race? is it possible to add more than 1 partner by race (our side, example, neville,sal,colin,samson) ? or in career mode find more racers (like when finishing a race) in free roam mod?
So far it is not possible to add more crew members in a single race.
