This is pretty much a dream I had when I was 7, I dreamed about a combination between MW and Carbon while Rockport in night, looks pretty close to what I was expecting

@@isaacweisberg3571 around the era of NFS World, I didn't even have a good internet connection at home (available option was only 2G & 3G mobile data which very slow & expensive at that time). In my country, wifi still rarely found in places far away from big city like my house. I only know NFS World by people posting on Facebook groups.

It would've been a lot better if the cities were not so close to each other and the canyons shouldve acted as a buffer zone between the 2 cities.
All the 8 canyons should be combined and made as a big road network connecting Rockport and palmont.
After crossing the old bridge from Rockport the player should drive through each and every canyon. The final canyon before reaching palmont should be the lookout point. That's where the player gets intercepted by the cross.
The journey between the cities should be reasonably long and memorable one.

Dont necessarily agree on "long and memorable" journey, but yeah canyons inbetween sound cool.
Black Box may have been going in this direction before EA shut them down
@@ThisBenjaminID1999 I am working on combined map concept of all Black Box era cities in more geographicly fitting, kind of like The Crew's USA. It's not finished yet tho. I am still tweaking placement of canyon routes around Palmont to be as accurate to scenery we see in Carbon as possible. I dont even take World's silly map into account.
@@skyline3344 Not really, they were a tiny left over of like 20 people who seen that what they planned is now physicly impossible, because they stupidly placed both cities far too close to each other and adding missing road network to naturally connect things into the main map would be too much work for their tiny team. Eternity Pass, Carbon Canyon routes like Desperation Ridge and Journeyman's bane and San Juan are all to the east/north east of Palmont where rosewood and golfcourse are in NFS World map. It just would never work with World's silly map setup.
Rockport and Palmont are also on opposite ends of the country in the story.(Rockport-Rosewood being mix of Newyork with north east coast college towns and long beach[Camden], while Palmont is Los Angeles mixed with bits of Las Vegas.)
I do have a map in works that connects the cities more logicly.

It essentially already was with need for speed world, this just ports world's map over to carbon, but I'll admit it looks a bit cooler seeing carbon's ui over it
True, but NFS World was an entirely different game...having it done in Carbon feels more natural since it ties in with the storyline
@@loizos3918 Yeah, however for world they just took the car physics from carbon and made it online and into a mmo. I'm just saying that they did combine the two maps in a game, whether it be a proper sequel or a mmo.
@@loizos3918 This is just NFS World's map in Carbon. It doesn't really tie in with the storyline as no canyon roads are used.
Really wish the NFS World map preserved the bridges out of Rockport instead of reimagining ways Rockport and Palmont could be EXTRA closely connected...
Like, imagine the bridge from Rosewood leading to the opening cutscene of Carbon's canyon and finding roads that link the canyons to Palmont city?? Imagine how much better that would be. It'd also be easier to imagine realistic possible connections to Bayview and Olympic City through alternative roads diverging from the one between Rosewood and Palmont's canyons, and to Tri-City from the big inaccessible bridge leading out of Rockport's CBD.
If that really happens, Olympic City must be more polished as an open world city bcs 1st Underground doesn't have it. Very cool imagination, I wish the same too👌😊
Yeah, but you'd have to consider Bayview and OC aren't near each other, as in the first cutscene of Underground 2 you're seen arriving Bayview by plane. From what I imagine, OC is on the east coast, bayview on the west, and Palmont and Rockport somwhere in between the two.

@@thatguyinpurple For sure, that's why I supposed there would be roads in opposite directions diverging from the road between Palmont and Rosewood to put as much distance between the two cities.
I thought about it, and perhaps it wouldn't be possible to include Olympic City into the connected map, but maybe if there was a huge map size limit it'd be realistically possible or if there was access to the airports in Palmont, Bayview or Rockport, they could be used to access a new map altogether for it 🤔
@@ThisBenjaminID1999 It's possible, I'm getting into a computer science degree soon, so I'll keep the idea in my to-do list.
Finnaly someone did it. I never understand why Carbon and Most Wanted modders didn't used anything from NFS World like cars, races, map. They used the same engine as far as I understand.
maybe they need time to understand "how things works" in those 3 games? 🤔
Actually, stuff like cars were already a thing. Back then VLT-ed didnt open nfs world gameplay files which make porting races harder task.
Now all we need is a binch of races and territories on the Rockport map plus a mini map display for Rockport
Not to mention getting races working in the Rockport map as well.
Seeing 2 cities that close causes dissonance in my head.

Because NFS World map never made any sense. It's illogical storywise aswell as Rockport is Newyork in NFS universe and Palmont is mix of LA with Las Vegas and new mexico(san juan). I am working on more realistic combined "NFS World" map using all Black box era cities and more logical layout, quasi The Crew style, but it needs more work.
Something I'd like to see is Carbon's traffic AI ported to Most Wanted.
Why? What is the difference between the two game's traffic AI?

Just wait until NFSCO comes out. Expanding Carbon's gameplay into the Rockport section is the most hyped feature
Modders should had use canyons to transition to the city of Rockport, but since all canyons have different elevations and the skyline of Palmont city is very inconsistent, it is not possible to connect all canyons with each other. I think the way to get to the connecting canyon might be Deadfall Junction, which connects up Silverton northwards and ends at the old bridge downhill heading east. The question is how does Silverton connect to the top of Deadfall Junction, but I think you can build a tunnel that climbs up a bit and enters Deadfall Junction.
That would make a lot of sense really.
Its crazy i was telling my friend about this NFS game with a silver BMW where there's a street racer cop with a black and white corvette and shii and my friend was telling me about this NFS game with a silver BMW with a cop in a black and white corvette at the beginning but his game was at night and there's crews who join you in the race ?... like bro what are you talking about. Then we visited each others house and had our minds blown. It was crazy. I havent seen him in 15 years i bet he'd love this 🤧

bro we are slowly dying and we are never going to relive those moments. low spec pc, those graphics, no internet connection and our games on dvd from our friends. i'm just looking at this video and some deep hidden childhood memories comes out and makes me ask myself - what if those games were connected like this? well back then it was a dream for us to see the sequel connected to the first game. I wish go back those times, but with my actual conscience

I still have Carbon on PS2. However, I much prefer playing on PC where some mods polish the game further by restoring cut races and cars and I can actually turn the police lights on when driving a cop car. The only thing that console has over PC is the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of Race Wars had more cars than PC. You can increase the car limit with mods, but sometimes that crashes the game. It's more stable on console. I never understand when someone says "I miss this game." If you want to relive the game, play it again.

hahaha it was caused by the traffic line bugs in the Rockport map, sometimes it spawns in the oncoming lane making it impossible to avoid
@@ThisBenjaminID1999 no you were going 247kmh on your bnr34 and that white traffic car from the right switch lane to the left, basically blocking and slid off of his car into the wall at 212kmh down to 79kmh.
@@ThisBenjaminID1999 i recognize this map its basically nfs world map, but the traffic really is nuts here oncoming traffic spawn in lanes that are the correct direction instead of oncoming direction and cops also driving into walls by themselves

This is actually good about NFS Carbon W2C Map Mod, but they should add more, even like fixing the map navigation, adding new bosses, new cars, new tuning, and new races.
I hope in the future they can manage to fix and make things way better.

I've checked on NFS XYZ and the updates kinda slow. Maybe combining 2 separate maps is quite a challenge even though MW and Carbon comes from the same engine

haven't checked the mod creator for a while about newer updates, last info I know was they gona make a multiplayer server based on this map mod

If they add races on Rockport, this could be the best NFS mod.
Maybe they would, I've seen pepega mod can modify the map checkpoints for races. Since Carbon also use the same engine as MW I think it's not impossible to do in the future

It would be so easy for ea to just make a nfs mw/carbon remaster that combines the two story modes and maps, maybe separate them with one of those transparent lock fences? Not like they'd do it though, that would make too much money

I'm actually agree with him, I mean look at NFS MW Rework Mod, or Plak graphics with 24hrs time cycle effect that have just released
It would be a remake instead of a remaster but I do think that'd be interesting.
I hope they add, if not, copy the races from MW to Carbon. Also, I think it's now possible to add the main campaign of MW to Carbon into one whole package. We might not gonna see it but, hey! One can dream :)

I would preffer it other way around. Most Wanted is much better to play than Carbon. They just ruined the cars too much with the tier and class systems. Everything except muscle cars is stupidly slow and upgrades dont matter at all. I love Carbon but i always hated how they ruined 90% of the cars for sake of this silly gimmick. In MW05 every single car is viable until the end and upgrades make a world of a difference, especially with junkman parts on top.

The minimap still using Carbon's vanilla map, but the big map when you press M is already showing 2 cities combined
Dude I try this mod, the game works fine, but, when I start in career mode, the canyon chase is kinda bug, it's like my car (BMW M3 GTR) is floating and spinning around, there map works fine, but the roads, vegitiation, etc. are not appearing on my screen. I cannot proceed to the career mode because of this issue. do you have any idea how to fix this issue? I use the 3rd version BTW, the x-360 one. :)

yeah, I have the same issue. So I downloaded somebody's save file just for exploring the map and not play the career mode. But if you still want it maybe you can try this W2C Career Compatible mod by Hydra : nfsmods.xyz/mod/3074

There is. But Carbon's Palmont City are designed for night time only so it didn't transformed well into daytime scene in MW
