I feel like James style never transformed well to the playoffs. He used to score so easily and effortlessly and getting fouled and the playoffs is more about gettin that tough bucket, scoring the big shot, and all that. The only big shot I can remember he scored was the step back over Kawhi in his OKC days and even that was super tough and low percentage shot.
Look at the way Luka scored that 3 over Rudy. That’s pure composure and balance, knowing ima get to my spot and score I don’t care if it’s a regular game or game 7 of the finals. I feel like Harden a lot of times missed that unfortunately.

James Harden is not a winner. He's a great regular season player, a great regular season scorer and that's about it. The nba had to pick some players from the current era for the top 75 for marketing purposes but James Harden ( just like Damien Lillard or Carmelo Anthony...) didn't really deserve to be in the top 75. No Cap, Rasheed Wallace is should have Harden's top 75 spot!!! He benefited from the change in reffing. They weren't calling his side step travels or his self initiated offensive fouls. Once the league cracked down on players running into defenders, he faded! And him and Westbrook took advantage of the new assist rules! Anytime you pass the ball to a person and they score, its counted as an assist. Back in the day after the pass receiver dribbled and took a certain amount of steps, it wasn't an assist anymore. @penkima4923 a real hooper not a casual fan that's let's others tell me the game I know the game by myself already. And he didn't change shit. What he gave everybody a few illegal ass moves? Kool shamgod gave us that tOO, so did AI etc. Thats not changin the game.. what else? He showed everyone how to ignore defense? How to disappear in the playoffs? How to cry his way out of situations he asked to be in?

Really sick of this phrase, “changed the game.” It doesn’t really mean anything. You dribble, pass, shoot, rebound and defend to win. It ain’t rocket science. Harden made a BS traveling move popular (that lame-ass ‘step-back’ BS) and showed how to be super-cheap with ugly ref-baiting moves that used to be offensive fouls to get a bunch of cheap free throw attempts.
    “Changed the game.”
    Funny.
“Did a bunch of stuff that was cheap, boring and aesthetically lacking” is more like it.
    Never enjoyed watching him play.
Oh, he also had horrific turnovers, horrific defense, and probably the worst intangibles of any MVP winner in history.
    There’s that too.

While your rant include some facts, it's also cherry-picking.
Before the travelling and flopping era, Harden used to be very enjoyable to watch as a scorer and playmaker.
And after his best scoring days, he's been fascinating to watch as "the system". An effective playmaker for two franchises now.

@@penkima4923 “the system?” What “system” is this? The “system” where you behave like a prima donna, embarrass yourself in press conferences with comments like, “I’m not a system player. I am the system,” jump from team to team, put up empty-calorie stats in the regular season, play no defense, and then disappear in the playoffs?
Is that the “system” you refer to?
