  • (2002) Wester conference semi-finals game 4: Kobe= 28pts incl the game winner with 5 seconds left.
Kobe Bryant has always been a force in the 4th quarter. He was nothing short of dominant in the final moments of this series.
In the 4th quarter of game 3, he scored 11pts on 5/5 shooting to lead his team to a 2-1 edge over San Antonio.
In this game, he struggled to find a good rythm the entire game but with less than 3 minutes to play. He came alive, hitting two big threes and the game winner after a great rebound with 5 seconds remaining.
Final score: 87-85 L.A with Kobe outscoring the Spurs in the entire 4th 12 to 10 (notice that Kobe matched San Antonio final 12min total in a span of 2:40)

young, weren't in their primes. Spurs were old, weren't in their primes. See the pattern? The ages of those teams isn't as significant as the fact that they simply *weren't in their primes* . Kobe was straight owning the Spurs' roster when their Stars were in their *prime*

People who say Kobe was carried have no idea what they're talking about. He was a bona fide clutch performer. He struggled in 2004-2005 because of his beef with Shaq/Phil/Malone and then balled out with Lamar Odom as number two and Kwame Brown as number three lmao. Once his team was right again he picked up where he left off.

Wow, that is the ultimate Michael Jordan set jumpshot at the 3:49 mark if I ever saw one. It was also wll beyond area code about 4-5 feet outside the top of the key. Not to mention that it was a raindrop of an high archer and a beautiful release and follow through, amazing deep shot.

Could not agree more. People just look at the Finals' MVP awards and say Shaq was the reason while they fail to look at the matchups.
If there was such thing as a "PLAYOFF MVP," Shaq would have the 1st and Kobe would have the last two from this 3-Peat.

For the record Shaq said it himsef that Kobe was the best player in the world and that without Kobe he would've never won. So saying that Shaq carried Kobe to 3 rings is just stupid. They equally were bringing greatness to the laker franchise.

because he wasn't very likeable then (too self centered), or as likeable as shaq was anyway. he's been playing with a smile on his face since gasol came, people like him a lot more now, and particularly after Colorado that is quite an achievement.

No they wouldn't have? Look at all the championships won recently. Lebron had Wade and Bosh, Dirk had Jason Terry and a bunch of solid veterans, Pierce Garnett and Allen had eachother, D Wade had Shaq, Duncan had Ginobili and Parker. Kobes not overrated had at all. Every good team just has more than one superstar, thats how the NBA works......

  • @Kito343

@dirkiscool108 no, taking into account its a playoff game, game tied, lebron wouldve either a) passed out from the shot b) turn the ball over c) choke like he always does.
lebron aint got shit on mamba
