    Reminder: this streak stopped only because Phil Jackson told Kobe to stop scoring (once Shaq came back from injury). He said the team would "lose Shaq" for the playoffs. Who knows for how long Kobe could've kept this streak going.

    • @BigMy28
      @BigMy28 5 лет назад +9

      That's whats kills me about analysts today. The game is about winning. They discredit Kobe for winning with Shaq when Shaq was guarded by Rik Smit, Tod McCullough, and skinny, older Mutombo. What historically great player would turn down that miss match to pad their stats in place of winning to appear more dominant? Makes no sense.
      Even after Kobe went on to win two more titles in three finals appearances post Shaq, nabbing two finals Mvp's and being team captain on an Olympic gold medal squad, serving as the teams defensive stopper and closer, analyst still try to downplay that mans greatness. Shits wild to me.
      They much rather praise LeBron who averages two, points, two rebs, two assists more, along with seemingly better efficiency, but with a ton of more losses in the finals with less wins. It's like they dont realize those extra stats take from other stars on the team, and may be why he lost more.
      They'd much rather praise building superteams in weaker conferences, and gutting franchises, than elevating your play, co-star's and that of your overall teams play on the biggest stage, while dominating one of the toughest conferences in league history, along with beating the most 59+ teams in nba history.
      To analysts (3-6) 27pts 7rebs 7ast is better than (5-2) 25pts 5rebs 5ast

      alejandrothefader I didn't bash him. Many ppl think he has abilities that don't really exist. He can jump high & very athletic, has high basketball iQ, knows how to take advantage of lackadaisical defenses, and he has the body of karl malone with ball handling abilities of a smaller guard. Can't take away from him cuz he's bigger than everyone, not his fault I know. But im not going to say he's very skilled cuz I cant go to the back yard and dominate my brothers cuz im bigger. Not bashing him, he's smart to use his size. I can't give someone credit if I can use a hack-a- Bron against at the end of a game and he's a small forward :/.. his pf and centers the last 5 yrs shoots a higher free throw % than him. Sorry.. he's one of the best on earth but very containable

    • @qasimfareed5821
      @qasimfareed5821 9 лет назад +1

      alejandrothefader I still don't think he is a "good" shooter. He takes smarter shots so yea he shoots a good percentage but he isn't a good jump shooter at all he's good at getting to the hoop. And when he does shoot its a text book wide open shots. He does hustle and he's a good passer. Because FG 's are a combination of layups and jumpers i go back to Free throws to determine if a person can really shoot. Because it's a distance that all the players abide by and it free & wide open so no one can defend. Yet he just doesn't do it well. Not like he's shaq size. He has no excuse. If he wants to be the "Best" he has to at least know how to shoot (actually the original way to score the ball was a jump shot). He's compared to Magic, but even Magic shot 84%. Sorry but I only give credit where it's due. He's big and strong and that's what he uses. Not a bad thing but gotta have more than that for me. Also I didn't write that article, it was written by my brother.

      @@punninsans3774 facts!!! Just saw a stat that stated the following;
      2 minutes or less left, score within 3 points or less, IN A NBA FINALS SERIES
      Kobe Bryant
      10 for 20 SHOOTING
      50%FG TRUE SHOOTING 56%
      4 FOR 5 FT 80%
      LeBron James
      4 FOR 23 SHOOTING
      17%FG TRUE SHOOTING 31%
      10 FOR 14 FT 71%
      But the media will tell you LeBron is more clutch, and that his stats depic his goat status. Where there's a stat showing that on the biggest stage with the most pressure, one can be counted on and one can't.
      There's a reason one is 5-2 and the other is 3-6.
      There's a reason one can win with one star and youth (without Shaq) coming out possibly the deepest Western conference era in league history, and the other needs multiple stars and a veteran team just to come out possible the weakest eastern conference in league history. It takes the PRESSURE off you!
      Lol I'm just telling the truth lol

      Name 1 time Kobe had a 40 pt game in the 90s. Even though he was an allstar? He scored his first 40pt game after the rule changed. In fact he had over 6 40 pt games. In fact, Every starting wing player that year had at least 5 30 pt games that season when the previous year only a handful was able to score that.

      NBAGOATS Kobe was drafted in 96 played as a sixth man in until the 99-00 season were they won a championship he was the youngest all star starter ever in 98 and he was the sixth man wtf r u talking about plus he had 30 or games just cuz he didn't get 40 dosent mean he wasnt great he was just not a starter which limited his minutes and chances to drop 40😑
