I agree with Oli about needing to put backstage promos on tv and not social media. A lot of that stuff is actually good and helps get people MORE invested and provides story but instead of showing it to the most people possible they are wasting it on the people who are most likely to already be super into your product anyway. It's better to put it on the show and get the casual more interested instead.

It gives you a chance to pay off the Tiger Driver stuff from Dynasty, is a huge match for Danielsons retirement, and once MJF does eventually drop the International title to someone it gives him a clear and compelling reason to go back after the world title and specifically Ospreay (he’s 2-0 against Will and he feels as though he should still be world champion after last years Worlds End and takes umbrage with Will being the fans new hero after his run as world champ and hiatus from the injury when he lost)

Only to have him wrestle MJF or Ospreay 2 weeks later and lose. It really is pathetic treatment of one of the best wrestlers around.

But now, with the Swerve match, he has added that if he loses, he'll stop wrestling; presummably there will be a point where we rarely if ever again see him. So which one we get depends on rather or not he wins.
A year ago he said he was retiring for full time competition, meaning he would still make part time appearances. After the swerve promo he said if he LOSES (keyword) then he will retire period. I got all of this from watching the show.
