awesome Vid as usual! and the "tease" was just right 🤣
cool new video
On the exhaust cam gear, I imagine the aluminum core is hard anodized, while the steel gear teeth are hardened (but not anodized).
After black Friday I finally understood what they're talking about all the time 100k under the hood 😂
Is this the k24z7 and if yes did you have to modify the block to fit new pistons
80hp just from cams!?? That timing chain will be holding on for dear life
I know it's over 300 horsepower, but what kind of torque numbers are you putting down?
What CR were you gurus running for those cams?
Stock valve train?
ni information on bottom end or cylinder head core
what head gasket size u r using?
Very nice,
how much compression are using for the ultra 2 camshaft?
Thankyou.. 🙏🙏🙏
Got to be 12.5 - 13.1 or higher I would assume
I ran Pro 2’s in my fully built Bseries back in the day, custom high comp pistons from Manley - was just under 13.1
Hey You...Get into my car!
How much the same engine?)
Would it fit in my car
this is on a stock block ?
No, HOONIGAN built this engine with all upgraded components.
Well that was a tease....what cams did u use? I was thinking of getting a set of the ultra cams I want around 300hp in my k20z3 with a built head and block. Do u think I should get a Toda timing chain or is oem strong enough for the ultra cams?
Your not making 300whp with a k20z3
They used Skunk 2 Ultra 2 cams in this k24. Watch the video again.
I made 218whp stock header on 93. my tuner made 250 with a ported head on e85 its very easy to make 300hp with a good tuner and modified engine especially on e85 idk what youre smokin
@@Fa5Squad Displacement is your issue. Not enough stroke (pause). You can use the biggest cam on the market Ultra BMF 2 with 16.2 Lift intake, and 15.0 lift Exhaust and still not crack 300whp.
You don't know what your talking about and a tuner is not gonna give you 80 extra Hp without a power adder such as, Nitrous or Force Induction.
@@Fa5Squad Just read the set up again......compare yours to his, in which he barely got over 300whp.
He has you in:
Displacement ✅
Compression ✅
Cam ✅
Just about every aspect that creates power and function his motor is a lot Better and barely got over 300whp. Your dreaming if you think you can get over 260whp. K20s aren't making more than that, you need a lot of cam since you think that 86 mm stroke is gonna get you somewhere. Do a lil more homework and actually build a motor before tryna get on here like you build Hondas.
@@itsonlydirt1994 yea but hondas make power in high rpm and 2.4 cranks dont like high rpm lol 300whp with ultra 2 cams sounds right what fuel and compression and how much timing for the 300whp thats what matters and whats the redline
What is the max vtc for the Skunk2 ultra 1 cams for a stock K20z4?
All k series can use w.e degree VTC you choose to use. .25, .30, .50 doesn't matter.
Vtc is more for low end timing. After VTEC the engine doesn't need anymore than .30 degree timing.
@@itsonlydirt1994 what compression will I need to run the Skunk 2 ultra 1 cams on my k20 motor?
@@akramdastager45 You can run them on on the K20. K20 11:5:1 compression. Ultra 1s would be fine. But anything with a bigger cam profile will need 12:5 or higher, to utilize the top in. A lot of times bigger cam lose power in the top end because the stroke and piston aren't aggressive enough to maintain the cam duration. This is why picking the right cam profile, that meets your set up is very important. Some cams keep the valves open a lil longer than others, some cams open up earlier than others, some lift a lil higher. It all depends on you lift and duration, a long with engine timing, depending on advancement or retard.
@@itsonlydirt1994 What will be the max vtc for the Skunk 2 ultra 1 camshaft on my k20 setup? Im afraid of the valve touching the piston...
@@akramdastager45 it won't. Ultra 1 will work.
Does the camshafts fit in the K24z3?
Please reach out to sales@skunk2.com for a proper answer to this question!
yea
😭😭😭
So no vtec?
Seamless would mean the crack isnt noticeable?
@@hondaservicecenter Yes, it has VTEC. Seamless VTEC crossover makes the most overall power. If you "hear" it loudly, you're tune isn't optimized, even if it sounds cool.
