I haven't seen anything regarding these movies, so this will be my new reaction and commentary to Princess and the Frog (2009).

Princess and the frog is so underrated but so good! such a shame that the only black princess is a frog for half the movie
charlotte would have absolutely given tiana the money (she DID pay her a lot when she got the chance!) but i think tiana has such a strong work ethic and do it herself attitude that she wouldn't accpet money she didn't earn herself
Tiana wouldn’t accept money from Charlotte (Lottie). She’s too hard working to accept it for free. Also this takes place either during Segregation or soon after so Tiana and Lottie being best friends is inappropriate during this time period so I doubt Lottie could just give Tiana money and not have some sort of trouble for both of them.
The fact that you as a black man never watched this... Let me not judge you.
🐸 Ray really is the hero we all need. His voice actor is off the charts talented for all the other voices he does.
I'm from Louisiana, and this is one of my favorite movies (right next to Hercules). Everyone here says New Orleans like "New Orlins." People who aren't from Louisiana say "New Orleens." Only people from New Orleans say it like "N'olins."

You got me curious so I googled it. Apparently Naveen says "Achidanza" which is a word in the made up language of Maledonian and is supposed to mean "Cool". So.....the more you know
This movie is severely underrated
The thing is, the money thing with Charlotte isn't possible. For one, it's not Charlotte's money, but her father's and he's a business man. He can't just give money away, especially during those times. It can ruin the friendship Charlotte's father has with Tianas mom, not to mention that a loan would be extremely hard to pay off. Especially since we don't know his line of business or his rates.

Some random facts! Hopefully these answer some of your questions:
One thing I really like about this movie that no one really talks about is the fact that they showed two different sides of voodoo culture and not just the spooky scary stuff that Hollywood made it known for. Mama Odie is essentially a voodoo queen and everything she does is good magic.

I watch this movie an unhealthy amount. I cried at Disney land when I got a photo with Tiana. I was 21.
