When I heard her say that there are less small farms in Croatia since entering the EU, and now there are big farms, it broke my heart. That is what makes these countries so wonderful to travel to and what enriches the tradition, culture, and local uniqueness of these wonderful countries.
In Croatia burek can be with anything, only bosnians have their theory that it is meat only. Also, similar type of a food we call štrudla (strudel), with austrian influence. Nice vid
Pete won't remember, but his Grandmother (GranBarb) loved Croatia, especially Split on the coast. I love the way you get so much into a short video. Looking forward to Serbia 😛
Katarina was wrong about Burek. In Zagreb (or anywhere besides Bosnia when in the Balkans) burek can be with anything, meat cheese, spinach+fresh cheese. In Bosnia burek is with meat and other fillings have other names (sirnica, zeljanica...)
Maybe this decade finallly those cathedral spires will be free of scaffolding!( yes i know there was an earthquake couple years ago but it was the same forever before).
If that's why you're tuning in. 😉 Can I guarantee that I will spill another coffee in my lifetime in an in opportune place? 100%. Can I guarantee that I'll catch it on film to be criticized on the internet? Nope, but I'll try my best.
...there is not Hungarian influence, because before Hungarians settled from northern part of Europe,Croatians and Avars were neighbours...so there is not much of Hungarian influence at all, more like there is Croatian influence in Hungary...like surname Horvath...😂😂 ...ajvar sauce which is used for chevapchichi comes from Avars probably, just like tatar sauce comes from Tatars... Hungarians aren't that old, compared to Croatians...same goes with Serbs...there were no Serbs when Croatians and Bulgarians were neighbours...or modern "nations" like Montenegro and Kosovo...😅😅 God bless!
