Josh, Please continue searching this topic prayerfully. Scripture clearly says God’s law is eternal. God is the same yesterday, today and forever, He never changes. No, the law can not and will not save us, only Jesus can save, but His blood atonement did NOT abolish the law. We are to be holy as He is holy and obedience to His law is how we please God.
Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments.
1 John 2:3-6 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says, “I know him”, but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Obedience to His law is the very evidence of our salvation, not salvation itself. It is very important not to lead people to believe that keeping His law is not at all an important part of every believer’s walk. Be blessed.

I would suggest you read all the scriptures about the LAW. We are not under law but under grace. Law = Condemnantion. Grace = Jesus and His power. We cannot please God without faith. The Sons of God are led by the Spirit. Very simply when we are led by the Spirit we are pursuing Him by Faith and we fulfill the LAW and a much higher level than following rules can ever deliver. You need to do more study n understand that grace does not mean sinning with no guilt or fear. Walking by Faith in grace leads to serving others n crucifying your flesh. The Law allows one to serve themselves with no consideration to what pleases the Spirit. You cannot live in Law n Grace. Read Galatians.

That is only true for the obedient of the Saints who keep the Lord's Commandments to obey the gospel, it is not for the disobedient who just give lip service to God and who don't keep the Commandments to do the Father's will.. Its all about doing the Father's will and the Father's will is for us to keep his commandments.

Rom 6:14 For sin SHALL NOT have dominion over you: for ye are NOT UNDER the law, but UNDER grace.
Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not UNDER the law, but UNDER grace? God forbid.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in THE LAW OF GOD after the INWARD MAN:
Rom 7:23 But I see ANOTHER LAW(the carnal law of sin)in my members, warring AGAINST THE LAW OF MY MIND(Rom 7:22) and bringing me into captivity to THE LAW OF SIN which is in my members.
Rom 6:14 commanded you to NOT let the SIN to have DOMINION over you to put yourself again UNDER the Law OF SIN(Rom 7:22,23).
Are you sure that you will obey Rom 6:14 so that are never sinning after Galatians 2:20 1John 3:9 1John 5:18 so that you will never let the sin to have dominion over you to never put yourself UNDER the LAW OF SIN so that you will make as possible to be UNDER grace ?.
And so is clearly that calling yourself AS SINNER you cannot see yourself as being UNDER grace.
All these verses make totally clearly that you can be UNDER AGRACE only so long time you will NOT let the SIN to have domination over you, because SINNING you put yourself UNDER the law of sin.
The whole CHRISTianity are deluded by demons to see the as LAW OF SIN reading verses about the LAW of God given beginning with Exodus 24:12 in 40 days journey WITH God to know all about Jesus as Sanctuary(John 2:21 Colos 2:2,3) given so that following Him we will be sanctuaries(1Cor 6:19 1Cor 3:16 2Thes 2:3,4 Colos 1:27).
Hopefully you will do your best to understand all these verses so that the Law of God made of more than 600 laws of the Sanctuary you will never see as LAW of sin so that obeying Jesus in John 6:44,45 you will have in Galatians 3:24 Father’s Law given beginning with Exodus 24:12 so that after fulfilment of Galatians 2:20 1John 3:9 1John 5:18 with the HELP of the Law you will KEEP God’s original 10 COMMANDMENTS Exodus 20 to be IDentified in Rev 14:12 Colos 1:26 as SAINT receiving God’s MYSTERY called Christ(Colos 2:2,3 John 2:21) being God’s sanctuary(1Cor 6:19 1Cor 3:16) so that in 2Thes 2:3,4 Rev 12:17 Rev 13:15 Rev 16:16 2Thes 1:10 you will END successfully the Armageddon started in heaven against Sanctuary(Ezec 28:18 2Peter 2:4 Rev 12:7) breaking their eternally state of REST in obedience RESISTING against God.

SoooO we can pick and choose what laws to abide by....got it.
If the "laws are done away with" then there can be no sin. Because sin is the transgression of the law according 1 John 3:4
The only law that went away was sacrificial law. Because the Messiah was the ultimate sacrifice.
Faith without works is dead. You can't just believe in YAH, for even demons believe. You also have to keep laws and Commandments. Narrow is the path

There is a difference between law and statutes. Most the statues were hung on the cross with Yeshua's death on the cross and Christ became our passover. We should be worshipping God daily, also. Our sabbath, day of worship is everyday. Keep in the word, even if it is a bad day, whatever is going on and you'll be blessed.

No example made out of that and it's not against the law for a man to lie with a man, to lie with family members and it's perfectly alright to God to pollute the body and to basically place graffiti on the temple which is your body by tattooing, scarification or other things that were done alot by pagans?

It is very easy to reason away proper Instruction, when examining and believing in words that came AFTER Truth was revealed- from the Beginning. If people like this man would simply examine The Word of YaH (the ToWRaH)- then those same teachers can properly realize Truth- regardless of whomever tries to speak against Truth thereafter.

I think the biggest problem with Christians today is that they confuse repentance, good works and the law. These are three separate things and if you don’t understand the role that each play it will cost you your salvation. Repentance is turning from sin it is intertwined with faith, they are two sides of the same coin. You cannot have true repentance without true faith and vice versa. Repentance/faith is a gift from God but if you do not have this then you are NOT saved. Repentance from sin is a requirement for salvation. God does not require us to do anything for our salvation (good works) but he does require us to not do certain things (sin). You described the law and why we are not under it perfectly. The law is separate from repentance and good works and is NOT a requirement for salvation, in fact you will loose your salvation if you put yourself back under the law. And good works are an evidence of our salvation, not a requirement but if you do not have any then I would re examine yourself carefully and make sure that you are truly saved. I would love for you to do a video on this because I can’t tell you how many people use the excuse of “I’m not under the law” or “I’m not saved by works” as an excuse to continue in sin and not repent. When they simply don’t understand the definitions of each and are confusing them with one another.

Blessings Josh! Brother, you are so on point with this video man. I used to be SDA, which is a very law oriented doctrine. But God Almighty freed me from that bondage and helped me see the "liberty" Jesus Christ brought us! I give the testimony on my channel, and taught an in-depth lesson on this subject on my channel ; Righteousness by Works vs Righteousness by Faith part 1 & 2. The reason people will resist this teaching is because they don't understand the purpose of the law and its intent for Israel before Christ, and for everyone else after Christ. Paul himself said........,
" But their minds were blinded; for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in Christ.
But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.
Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.
Now the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is "liberty."
    2 Corinthians 3:14-17
I based the lessons on 2 Corinthians 3, and crossed referenced it with many other references to show what our Redeemer accomplished through the New Testament (Covenant). Please check it out and lets support each other my brother! God Bless you!

There is a reason why Peter warned people about Pauls teaching. That you have to be learned and educated on which law he is teaching on and that people will think that we for some reason dont have to follow GODs laws and commandments anymore. 2peter 3:15 Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. Paul loved the law and lived by it and so did JESUS. Romans 7:22 "For I delight in the law of God in my inner being." Paul

Amen. We are not under the law of Moses. Sin and death was in the world before the law. Abraham was made righteous through faith, not through the law because the law didn't come until some 400 years later. The Law came too late to prevent sin and death and the Law is too weak to save us from sin and death. We couldn't be made righteous through the law, the law was only given to show us our sin, to show us that we need deliverance from sin. God sent Jesus to be our deliverer, now through faith in Him, we can be saved. He send us his Holy Spirit so that we can have the love that he requires. Love is the fulfilling of the law.

Couple of issues w doctrine prov 4:2. If christ added to or removed from the law of moses (God) deut 4:2; 12:32 he would have sinned. [I am willing to dialogue here with any question rebuke or rebuttal just @eni g then comment.] (law of God see lev 26:3; duet 4:40; ez 36:27; mark 7 " you break the law of God... for moses said") Christ told us to be careful to obey and do the law of Moses (God) matt 23:1-5, 13, 15, 23 to keep both the letter and the spirit in balance . He also tells those who practice lawlessness to depart from him matt 7:21-23. Sin by definition is breaking the law of moses lev 5:17; numb. 15:30-31 1 john 3:4 and willful habitual sin has no sacrifice left. heb 10. Salvation by grace through faith. Blessings by law through obedience. James 2 tells us without obedience and workss of the law our faith is dead. If we then rely on the law for salvation we fall short. Get off the pendulum of mans tradition and follow Gods word. Ex 20:6 Deut 5:10. To receive his mercy (grace) we must obey him which is also to show him love. Matt 14:21. As for that was for the israelites arguement not the gentiles is a straw man arguement. Eph 2:11-19 tells us once we are in the faith we are now citizens of the common wealth of Israel. Lev 24:22 one law for all. We also have all the grafted into israel verses. Not Jewish law but Gods law mediated through Moses. Another straw arg. Is we cant keep it all so dont keep any. Lets try that on judgement day "why did u lie steal cheat murder maintain uncleaness?" I believe Christ gave a good foreshadow of that in matt 22. As for Paul we all need to be careful as peter warns 2 peter 3 about being ignorant of the law and its application least we fall away with the lawless. Paul says we are to establish (set up on a perminant basis) the law romans 3:31. This is short version and yes ive read galatians which im working on a thesis with. Listen to Christ words and be a berean w pauls claims w the backdrop of the old testament. The only covenant that christ brought was the removal of the penalty of death by taking it upon himself for our transgressions(sins) against Gods (mediated through moses) law. All of it as it applies individually man woman land owner servant master leper priest ect. We are called to be blameless in keeping the law not perfect psalm 119:1 and on. Also see 19:7.

I agree but the Ten Commandments are not apart of the Mosaic laws the 7th day Sabbath Christians people should keep it on Saturday the 4th Commandment(Exodus 20:8-11) the Catholic Church changed it to Sunday and most Protestants followed that and we should keep the food law God wants us to eat healthy(Leviticus 11:7-9) for more information on this you can go to amazingfacts.org or go on Google "who changed the Sabbath?" thank you and God Bless You!

      @IntactInChrist  8 лет назад +8

Thanks for the comment, however the ten commandments were actually the direct covenant that was made with Israel. (Ex. 34: 28, Deut 4: 13). They served as a table of contents for the rest of the law but the covenant itself was based upon the 10 commandments. I agree Christians should eat healthy, its a reflection of how you treat your temple. But it has nothing to do with the law. Gluttony is sin, a ham sandwich is not, unless it causes another brother or sister who is weak in the faith to stumble (Rom 14). Christian history is important but it should never be a standard for doctrine when the scriptures are right there. No where from Matt. to Rev. do you ever see one mention of the phrase '10 commandments' and every time you see them listed by Jesus or the apostles, it never includes the 4th commandment. Nor do you ever see anyone in the entire book of Genesis being commanded to observe or keep the Sabbath including Abraham who is the father of all those in Christ. The websites are not to be taken seriously. the bible is. God bless.

In Matthew chapter 24 Jesus is giving us the signs of the end of the world and look what he said in verse 20 "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day" Jesus expects his people to keep the 7th day Sabbath in these last days. we read 85 times That the Disciples kept the Sabbath in the book of Acts here is one "So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles to besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath." (Acts 13:42) so don't be deceived as you see Gentiles and Jews are together Worshiping on The Sabbath Day. Please read this Catholic quote "...The new Sabbath. People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy." {Catholic Church, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995} This is Bible Prophecy "and think to change times and laws" (Daniel. 7:25) the Sabbath has time in it. My God Bless you!

    • @IntactInChrist
      @IntactInChrist  8 лет назад +5

If your familiar with the customs of Israel there is almost no public transportation on the Sabbath, Jesus is saying pray that you do not have to flee the city on a day where public transportation is closed (because in verse 16 they are to flee to the mountains, that would be hard when most transportation is closed for the day, verse 18 says not to go back for clothes so if it is winter time then freezing to death is a very real possibility, Hence the whole purpose of verse 20). To try to interpret it as saying he is enforcing the Sabbath is trying to make the scripture say something it does not aka eisegesis. The disciples used the Sabbath to evangelize to Jews because the predominant religion was Judaism at the time. The Sabbath is mentioned to give the reader a time frame of the events that were unfolding, no where is it once mentioned as a command, only as a reference of time. & It doesn't matter what the Catholics say, again the scriptures are right there. To say people who deal with the sole authority of scripture should logically become 7th day Adventist is ridiculous because the scripture alone debunks the false theology of the seventh day Adventist. I don't deny the Sabbath can be used to keep track of time but that depends what calendar we are going by since the Jews use a different calendar then we do. In context, Dan. 7: 25 is talking about the antichrist during the tribulation, not the catholic church and the council of Nicea.

A righteous man is not under the law simply because he is righteous in other words if you sin you are not righteous, so who in this room sins? Then you are not righteous..... Then you are under law. Its like saying you stay righteous at the speed limit then you will not have the law send you a speeding ticket BUT break the speed limit and you are now under the law and will shortly receive a speeding fine in the mail. So in conclusion the law of righteousness is always active, Sin and you will only get in trouble. Ofcourse you can repent but abuse that and Christ will spit you out of his mouth lets remember what he Jesus says, " few will find the way ".

Amen , in total agreement with you. Whoever commits sin commits Lawlesness (He breaks God's law) We are not under the law if we have The Holy Spirit of God and are led by his Spirit it means we are righteous and our sins have been forgiven, we work Love, Joy, Peace, Mercy, Goodness, Faithful ness. But if we are not led by God's Spirit, and led by our flesh which is sin we have fallen from Grace and need to repent and turn back to God. Anyways you said it best, continue your great work for God. God bless.

    • @indo3052

Exactly. The curse of the law paul was referring to was the entirety of the law( talmud)

    • @SealedByTruth
      @SealedByTruth 2 года назад

No Paul did not say the Law of Moses came by the Levitical Priesthood. That's not an accurate biblical statement.
In the book of Hebrews the writer states that the Levitical Priesthood was brought forth and commanded by God in the Law of Moses. It was by the Levitical Priesthood that atonement for sin was done, and it was by Levitical Priesthood that people were represented before God according to the Covenant that God made with Moses and the people of Israel at that time.
Jesus is not a Levite. Therefore He is not a Levitical priest. Jesus is a priest in the Order of Melchizedek, King of Salem, who lived during the time Abraham was given the Promise of God, before the Covenant with Moses and the Israelites had been established.
The reason this is extremely important is because when there is a change in the order of the priesthood, it means there is also a change in the Law of Moses. But this becomes a problem because God said the Law of Moses cannot be added to, it removed from. The Law of Moses must always remain as a whole, the 613 commandments all stand together, or all fall together.
So when you have a chance in the Law of Moses it immediately annuls it and leaves it without anymore authority. And as we take a look at the words of Christ in the four gospels and the sermon on the Mount we see this truth about the Law of Moses already loosing authority when The Messiah comes on the scene.
Jesus said, you have heard it said "enter Law of Moses commandment" BUT I tell you "Jesus new commandment". Jesus appeals to His own words as carrying more authority than the Law of Moses.
      But how and why?
The Order of Melchizedek is a greater priesthood, in fact a perfect Priesthood. Where the High Priest is without sin and never dies. We see Jesus in this respect after His death, in resurrected form.
Now here is a more important point.
In Matthew 5 Jesus says that He didn't come to destroy the Law of Moses, instead He came to fulfill it, and make sure it was completed.
How did he do this and why?
Originally many thought that Israel was going to be a light to the nations around it through the Promise of Abraham and Covenant of Moses, but Israel failed time and time again until their disobedience got to the point where God divorced Israel from the Law of Moses. Many people don't know that's in the bible. Israel completely broke God's covenant. Therefore God divorced them from His covenant. So now Israel cannot represent God and be the Light to other nations, gentile nations.
The reason is people miss the biblical fact that Abraham's promise was not to the nation of Israel itself, it was not to "seeds", but instead to One, to the Promised Seed found in Genesis 3 from the very beginning.
Paul explains this and adds extra understanding in his epistles repeatedly.
Jesus would be the One to carry out the actual fulfilment of the Law of Moses, as One who obtained righteousness from the Law of Moses, despite the increase in sin it was able to do because of the weakness of human flesh. But what our flesh (the nation of Israel) could not do through obedience to the Law of Moses, God did through His Son, Jesus Christ. This truth is found in Romans 8:3-4.
Israel was supposed to be a holy sinless nation that taught the world how to turn away from wickedness. Instead of fulfilling that by fulfilling the Law of Moses Israel became the worst nation of all the pagan nations. That accusation was made by God in the Old testament and Jesus during His earthly ministry.
It's important that we understand this because it shows us 3 major things:
      1. The Law was only temporary in God's will until the Promised Seed should come.
God knew that only Christ could take away the sins of the world.
      2. The Law was added after the Covenant with Abraham because of sin to show us what our sinful desires really were and what they deserved. But adding the Law of Moses did not change or abolish the Covenant with Abraham.
      3. Only Jesus Christ could fulfill the Law of Moses (to do it perfectly and bring about it's promises in righteousness). This is the only reason why Christ has righteousness to give us through propitiation as written in the scriptures. Israel could not do this.
Many people don't understand the chronology of the giving of Law of Moses let alone it's actual purpose in the entire plan of God. Because of this they exalt the Law of Moses to be greater than the Promise of Abraham and to be greater than Christ Himself.
Lastly, in Matthew 5 Jesus said the Law was only in effect until He fulfilled it. That it was only in effect until Christ accomplished all of it. He said that none of the Law of Moses would pass away until heaven and earth would pass away UNTIL it was fulfilled.
So the biblical question in context to ask is, when did Jesus fulfill the righteous requirements of the Law and the Prophets? Because if we know when He did that, then we know when the Law of Moses was completed, over, ended, fulfilled.
Jesus tells us exactly when He did this in John chapter 19:28.
In the Greek text it says that, Jesus knowing that now all things had been accomplished, he then said I am thirsty, he partook in the bitter gal of vinegar and old wine, (as He prophesied He would do at the Lord's supper) and then once He did, He cried out IT IS FINISHED (v.30) and gave up the Holy Spirit.
According to Jesus, not our understanding or presuppositions or doctrinal beliefs, but according to Jesus He accomplished everything in the Law and the Prophets in His earthly ministry by the time He died on the cross.
That's how He was able to overcome sin, defeat the devil, end the Law of Moses, and obtain eternal salvation for everyone that would believe on Him and His accomplished work the Father sent Him to do, the first time.
Many people think it will only be fulfilled at the second advent but that's not what Christ said out of His own mouth.
Because of this reality we are able to see why Paul would have the audacity to teach what He teaches in Galatians, Colossians, Ephesians, and Philippians. How Peter could teach what He taught in 2 Peter, and Jude. How James so sharply and lovingly can say what He said in chapter 1-2.
The Law of Moses has been fulfilled and is over. And of course how the writer of the book of Hebrews can be so bold in chapters 1,4,7,8,9 and 12.
We are not under the Law of Moses anymore, (not subject to it). The Law of Moses is not our authority, master or teacher anymore. Christ is.
Jesus Christ is our LORD, King, Master, Husband and God.

  • @michaelwitcoff4569

Jesus and James preached that the Old Testament Law should be followed; Paul preached that it should not. This is why early Jewish Christian sects like the Nazarenes and Ebionites dismissed Paul as a false prophet and a deceiver.
It is also important to keep in mind that Paul was--by his own admission--a liar who would tell people whatever they wanted to hear if he thought it would help him gain followers. So the same Scripture he calls "God-breathed" to one group of people, he calls "the law of sin and death" to others. You must always consider the context of which group of people Paul is talking to, when he says something.
It's a tricky situation--especially since I agree and resonate with so much of what Paul says--but ultimately, there is no question that what he preached is the opposite of what Jesus preached in terms of whether the Old Testament laws should be followed.

You are misunderstanding there are two laws Paul speaks of - the law of God and the law of sin and death. You are confusing the two. Look into this, blessings brother.
Lawlessness is sin, what was sin, is still sin. The defintiion of sin did not change, God never changes.
We are saved by grace alone, but Jesus didn't die for us to be lawless (sinful).
We are not under the law of sin and death anymore because Jesus set us free from the consequences of the law.

I'm aware of the double meaning of law, there's the law of God/Christ which still applies, and then the law of Moses which no longer applies. The doctrine of lawlessness is called antinomianism which I both condemn & address in the video. Not sure if you watched the whole thing but I was very clear about the issue of sin. Yes we are set free from the law of sin and death in order to live righteously within a covenant relationship with Christ, and within that relationship sin no longer has dominion over you because he whom the son sets free is free indeed.

I love watching you videos bro, but i believe you have gone off the path.
I have seen 1st hand the fruites of this teaching and it is rotten fruit. It caused devision in the fellowship i was part off.
It was decided that we would no longer gather together on sunday and left half of us with knowhere to go.
I fail to see the LOVE in that.
Anyway i cant drive to get to another church so all i could do was pray about my situation. I prayed and the Holy spirit led me and told me to talk to a complete stranger about my situation but i let fear get in the way and i didnt talk to this person.
I thank God for his patience with me because he led me to another stranger to talk to and this time i talked to this stranger and this person takes me to another fellowship now.
It turns out the two strangers i was led to are father and daughter and attend the same fellowship.
If God didnt want me to fellowship on aSunday, why did he answer my prayer in such an awesome way.
I hope my testimony helps you or anyone who reads this.
God bless you my Brother love you always and i wont judge what sabbath you keep.
Please recieve my testimony as truth and yes i have the gift of discerment.

The law of sin and death is at work through the law rom 7:23 etc. therefore we died to the law read from romans 7:1. That we can now truly serve Him
trough a better law, that is the law of the spirit. You cannot live in both laws as you have to die to the, in doing so we are set free from being slaves to law of sin and death.

One of the difficulties has to do with the Greek word nomos - which is a one size fits all word meaning “law”. So the Torah is not the law, but rather they instruction. The law, and I believe this is the meaning of the word which Pa’al is using, means the entirety of the “law” - meaning the Mishneh as well as the Torah. Can the Christian believe even find this in the confines of the New Testament? Not likely.
As a consequence, there is much to discover here. The mitzvoth of the OT are actually precepts and ethical principals rather than “commandments” so the understanding is not how we expect it in the post-Greek world. So, the Torah still stands, but it stands only in discernment.

You can call it lies if you want. But you are under the same covenant if want to be saved. There is no amount of animal sacrifice that will atone for sin. Jesus has already done that for us. Jesus died to old covenant and so do we when accept Christ. When you don't know Christ you are under the law.

Ha calling it lies will not change the new covenant. Before the law was made obsolete God told Jeremiah in 11 that you are cursed if you do not do all the things written in the law. The curse was was that you would not prosper in anything. Jesus said that he came that we may have life more abundantly. John 3.

JESUS and the Disciples did observe the Sabbath and the Festivals of GOD? THOSE were ordained by GOD they did not come from man ot the LAW..?
So in that you erred in your teaching ON THAT part. By comparing what came from God and Man as equal. Read the book of ACTS and throughout the New Testament.
THE DISCIPLES went in the synagogues on the Sabbath as was their custom to teach. They also kept passover and several other Gods Holy Days.

In Exodus 31:18 we read:”And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God”.
Here we observe that the ”Moral Law or Ten Commantment” was written with the finger if God, Read Exodus 32:15 & 16; Exodus 34:1,4.

It is true that first century Jewish Christians continued to observe elements of Mosaic Law. Paul himself did so at times in order to not offend the Jews (Acts 21:20-26). Yet he and the other apostles made it clear that the Law of Moses could not be bound on Gentiles with the exception of its prohibitions against eating blood, food set apart for idolatry, and what has been strangled, in addition to the commands against fornication (Acts 15:1-2, 19-20, 28-29).
Those Jewish Christians who would continue to force Gentiles to observe Mosaic law would be condemned as “false brothers” who were trying to get their Gentile brethren to submit to a spiritual form of slavery (Gal. 2:3-5; 5:1). Paul made it clear that observing the Law of Moses would not bring salvation (Gal. 5:4; Rom. 3:28). Yet he also allowed individual Christians to privately set days apart as holy as something between them and God if they so desired (Rom. 14:5-6, 22).
Paul told the church in Corinth "To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law".
After Christ’s ascension, Paul utilized Sabbaths to teach in synagogues because he knew the Jews would be gathered there on those days (Acts 17:1-3). Yet he never taught that God wanted Christians to observe the Sabbath as the Jews did in the Old Testament. He taught that Jews had spiritually died to the Law of Moses when they became Christians (Rom. 7:4-7). He also taught that Jesus ended the Law of Moses with its commandments when He died (Eph. 2:13-16). This would include the commandments about the Sabbath (Col. 2:14, 16-17). He warned those who would seek justification by observing Moses’ laws that they had fallen from grace (Gal. 5:4).
He wrote to Corinth about the new covenant replacing the old covenant, which he called “the ministry of death carved in letters on stone” (2 Cor. 3:6-11), a clear reference to the Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath commandment. The writer of Hebrews also wrote about the new, superior covenant which had replaced the Old Testament covenant which was the Law of Moses and which included the Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath commandment (Heb. 8:6-13). Thus, the apostles and prophets of the first century taught that observing the Sabbath was no longer necessary.

I have enjoyed each of your videos that I've watched until this one. You are misleading people. The Bible says sin is the transgression of the law. Without the law there would be no sin. Do you honestly believe a God who does not change and allow people to be stoned to death and otherwise, will just one day say, "Alright, this isn't working like I thought it would. Never mind." We obey His law because of obedience to Him. It sets us apart from the world.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. We obey the laws under the new covenant, not the old. Its very plain to see so before accusing someone of misleading others, make sure you yourself are not misled.

    • @princesspaltiyah8289
      @princesspaltiyah8289 8 лет назад +5

The word for "change" in the Scripture you reference means "to transfer," not to change. It means that because the priesthood is transferred to the order of Melchizedek through our Messiah, then the law must transfer to his administration as well. Same law; different administration.
Paul named SEVEN different laws throughout his letters. You are taking bits and pieces of Scripture and teaching others that Paul is saying they are not under the law; however, if you continue to read, Paul does explain himself. For instance, when Paul says we are not under the law but under grace, he was talking about the law of sin and death. He was not talking about the law of God or the law of Christ, etc. Christ ended the sacrificial law when He became our final Sacrifice, setting us free from the law of sin and death.

+Princess Palti Yah I totally agree Sis. Well said! People have misconstrued the Laws of God and pawn them off as Mosaic law which is also a deception. The is no such thing as a Mosaic law and it is not a biblically derived concept. Moses did not make up these Laws of his own will. The people of God were terrified after receiving the first 10 commandments which is why Moses had to become the Law giver (Ex 20:19). However the Laws Moses gave were given by God himself. Hence why All the so-called "mosaic laws" start off with "And the Lord spake unto Moses saying, Speak unto the children of Israel and say..." or "speak unto the sons of Aaron..." Christ fulfilled the law by keeping it perfectly and becoming that lamb with out blemish. He replaced that lamb that we were initially commanded to sacrifice to cover sin. He took the death penalty that was reserve for us. His Grace is why we are living. Which is why when we knowingly sin it's as if we crucify him all over again. But when we trust in him we become more and more like him and his holy spirit leads us. That's why the closer we get to him the harder it becomes for us to sin. Are spirit will grieve when we sin and we will desire righteousness and God's favor above all. I'm just going to keep praying for Josh because the truth is constantly being reveal to us all. I can see that his heart is in the right place.

Only a reprobate would practice bestiality which is why its defined as one 'without natural affection' in Romans 1. Homosexuality is clearly addressed as well in the new testament so your making a poor argument. Yes sin is a transgression of the law. My question to you is that the bible says Eve transgressed. Which law did she transgress? And if I'm the seed of Abraham, what law am I under since he proceeded Moses? If you listened, I am careful not to promote antinomianism because the new testament is very clear about sin. But to revert back to the law of Moses for righteousness is to try to serve God in the flesh because the law is not of faith. One can only be destroyed by mishandling clear passages of scripture.
