This is unexpectedly wholesome
Hell yeah it was.nice change of pace.
I know, Dom is so supportive. "I could knock you down, but what's the point?" He's better than some parents I've seen really.
"Did you have fun? That's all that matters.
recoil53 “Did you have fun? That’s all that matters.”
That’s what you say to a child when they didn’t achieve what they were trying to achieve. When I’m doing anything I’m striving for perfection but you can’t get anywhere near it when your critics are only saying, “Did you have fun? That’s all that matters.” I need to know what I’m doing wrong so I can fix it.
@@cwg73160 This series isn't about teaching, it's about seeing how far Alex can get.
Actually being told how to make secret recipes isn't going to happen. Things like properly making a dumpling are practice.
@@cwg73160 but the thing is that Dom wasn't sounding patronizing. He did point out the things that could have been better or different and was complimentary on the things that were done very well.
All in all totally constructive criticism that way I see it.
0:45 what an absolute legend, thats probably the best thing to say to someone you are teaching
Great job Alex, hey Dom is a real stand up guy, Most pizzeria owners in NYC wouldn’t have given you the time of day! Thank you Alex and Dom🤛
Well, they paid him. By free advertising.
Pizza King Mark uses old dough. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't they let the dough collapse in structure to get a unique ferment?
"this guy just breakin' my balls ova 'ere" NEW YOHK
@@saulgoodman2018 "YoU'Re GetTiNG PaId In ExPoSuRE"
@@MrJbkilla That's the same thing as free advertising.
These guys are hilarious, give them a show they are perfect for each other.
Thanks eater 🥰
THIS!
So wholesome! Words to live by! "If you 're not having fun and loving what you're doing, there's no point to do it."
Dom is teaching more than making a pizza
Other than to pay the bills and feed their family LOL
Dom is the true MVP here. What a legend and wise words this man speaks. Great episode!

How come my dad didn’t tell me this when I was growing up?
You can be that guy to your son. Show your dad (aka grandpa) a different path.
Power move: you tell that to your dad but in a very passive aggressive way
@@pantrymonster, not exactly the point I was making but, then again: everybody wins.
Because he's Asian?
@@Cephas they have higher standards
Dom has got to be one of the nicest guys i've ever seen. Would love to try his pizza
Yeah the guy seems to really know his stuff. He must make an unreal pie.
ITS SO GOOD. I can’t visit NY rn and I’m craving his pizza so now I’m searching for a recipe as close as his haha
its decided whenever I go to New York, I am going to Prince Street Pizza and making sure I meet Dom, such a nice guy.
good luck
Dom spends a lot of time in LA these days with the ship he opened out there. Apparently they are trying to open one in Miami now too. I used to work a couple blocks away from Prince Street Pizza, and would go there all the time on by break. Saw Dom often.
@@horationelson1840 Are you British?
Dom is such a nice guy. Really wholesome.
You’re invited to my mothers Sunday dinner is the most wholehearted thing an Italian can tell someone else. Dom seems like a stand up guy
The pepperoni square slice from Prince st. is my favorite slice of pizza in the world. I discovered it 2 years ago while wondering around soho and now it's a must get every time I am in the city
Woah, Dom is such a cool guy! He could easily have a show on RUclips as well. :)
This is hella wholesome. I’d give dom my business any day. What a stand up guy
"If you're not having fun and loving what you do, there's no point it." Sir... Thank you
Dom: you don't want a bubbly pizza
Naples: crying in Italian
Dom is the man! A real man doesn't have to talk smack... but is supportive and encouraging. Love that guy.
Is it just me or did they change the pizza at 8:10? 😂
burnt ronis
Yes, they did. First pie was taken out of the pan and burnt AF.
Yeap, that is how editing works in today's world 🤷♂️, but hey atleast Alex had fun haha!
Lol yup!
Yep, he spent too much time talking and nuked it :D
Alex is honestly the best! Love watching him and any video he is in!
Alex, I love that you have been able to come all this way! I have loved your videos for years! Even having gone through culinary school, you still teach me new tips and tricks with every video. The way you combine cooking and science is extremely admirable! I can’t wait to see more from you!!!!!!!
I love that. "If you're not having fun and loving what you doing. There's no point in doing it." Those are words to live by.
So nice to see him doing this type of collab
Oh man I love Dom! What a legend, and Alex, still so proud of you man!!!
Glad to see Alex get the attention he deserves. He is also a commentator on the Milk Street podcast with Christoper Kimball. Dom comes across as supportive and constructively critical. Really nice collab!
Alex gets more views on his own channel.
This channel is a bif naf compared with his own.
They should be grateful to have him on here.
I love Dom's spirit. Doesn't matter if you make it exactly like me, as long as you enjoy yourself and put your best into it!
Keep this series going. Alex is a great personality, and the featured guests are also fun to watch.
God damnit. Dom made me tear up a bit like thirty seconds in. Such a great dude!
That guy is so nice and a great motivator
This guy! Look a dis guy right here! He's so humble and sweet and he really knows the best part about cooking... HAVING A GOOD TIME! Gotta get sommah his pizza sometime lol
Oh that accent....loved it!!!
How amazing that he pick up that Alex used too much salt...impressive.
How awesome is Dom!?! Positive without being insincere, encouraging without being condescending. Dom rocks
I'm not sure i could imagine someone being less insincere than dom...
They changed the pizzas! Alex burnt his (8:11), then at 8:22 the pizza is back in the tray, looking fresh!
Great job Alex you show em .. 👍👍
Just saw this in my recommended, I love how you both interact with each other. I want to visit New York one day. Maybe after college.
Man, I'm from Indonesia and really love Prince St Pizza when I tried it in NYC. I love it even more after watching this.
Nice guys, fun to watch the french guy's thought process
Dom is a legend. Need more folk like him.
Prince St. Pizza was just added to my: Things to do when visiting new york list !!!
One of my favorite places for a slice in NYC so good. Lines may look long if you go here, but it's really quick. If you're waiting in line fresh pizza is always coming right outta the oven!
3:10 Man had to stop, and stow the NYC for a sec. Dude almost got lit up! HAHAHA!
The owner is the type of person you want in your life
3:06 is such a genuine moment. That's what it's like working in a pizzeria. I work in a little family owned Italian restaurant, and every once in a while I'll look at the old man and say, "Any time you want a lesson in how to make pizza, let me know." This is a 74 year old man who's been making pizzas and working his entire life, what the hell am I going to teach him? Ohhh I get hit with the classic vaffanculo and all sorts of things, and we all have a laugh and a good time. Awesome video, you guys! It made me smile.
Dom seems to be such a nice guy and a great teacher. 👏👏👏👏
So happy to see Alex on Eater! Definitely needs more exposure you all should check his RUclips channel
Pure Gold what a great attitude!
Hes right aboit going to an Italian market over a supermarket for authentic ingredients. Thats a soluble move going foward.
This the exact same style that a place makes right up the road from me and I love it the pepperonis curl up and everything my god is it good. The owner just recently passed away such a friendly guy he was a italian immigrant and man i hope the recipe doesnt change
The more I see your videos, the more I like you Alex. Keep up the good job 👍
The Bob Ross of pizza, I love it🍕🎨💕
Whoa looking at my favorite pizza spot... and see my fav Food youtuber. I love this guy.
Very good episode, alex is such an amazing host/chef.
I’ve been watching Alex for the longest and finally Eater making big moves !
French guy does Italian American. How international.
you mean french jewish guy does Italian American.
Wholesome, great message
Goingto New York soon, I'll definitely have to try out this place!
I’m english and I’ve lived in the south of france most of my life and you my man have the thickest french accent I have ever heard😂 it’s quite cool
The spicy sq slice is good here, but I fell in love with the margherita slice. It was the best tasting pizza I've ever had
this owner is very nice and wholesome guy!!
Went to these guys in NYC, quality amazing slice and pretty good price as well, Worth the wait/line!
Great company! I worked for you guys in the one in Miami, great experience 🙏🏼✌🏼
I am 1.5 hour drive to NYC. I think I’m going to take a road trip this weekend!
The trash talk came out at the end. Love it.
The pizza looks soooo amazing!
That Dom is a nice guy!
Dom is a vibe. That guy has premium chat 😂
true italian and true frenchie cooking pizza pies. i enjoyed this
This guy Dom man, what a nice guy
Never heard of the pizzeria but I'm not a new Yorker. If i ever get there again i will find this place and eat this pie!! Looks goddamn delicious my mouth watered when i saw it
Can we get the recipe Alex used?
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
That looks delicious!!! I wonder what size pan that is (like 9x13, or 10x 14 etc.)
Oh man yall. If you like Alex, subscribe to his channel! he even has a whole series where he breaks down making the Perfect bowl of Ramen including the oil, tare/sauce, broth, noodles, all of it.
Dom is so nice! He's welcome over for dinner anytime!
Half and half of Caputo flour/bread flour, my fave combo for pizza dough.
I’ve been going there for years! It’s the best pizza in NYC!
Dom's charisma is outstanding
I like french dudes being wholesome.
What a splendid guy :3
Prince st is hands down my favorite pizza spot in nyc
love this!
Everytime I see this guy... I click. I don't even know his name lol He just comes across my recommendations.
His name's Alex, and you may be interested in his RUclips channel - ruclips.net/user/FrenchGuyCooking
I definitely did not expect alex here I just noticed him in the thumbnail
Super nice pizzeria owner. Some day, when this covid is over, I want go to NY for a slice at Prince St!
That Pizzeria Chef was unbelievably nice!!!
Dom is outstanding!
Yo Alex, I found your bowl when walking through Paris!
Both of these guys are such caricatures its really hard to take either one seriously.
Anyone else have a slice or an entire pie at 3AM after waiting in the monster line? It’s magical.
You should be using cold dough when you make a pizza. Its usually made the day before and put into the fridge to rise/chill overnight then rolled out the next day before it's cooked.
Love this guys accent (can be applied to either guy)
That's a pretty big honor being invited to his family's Sunday dinner! 👍
Awwwwww that guy is soooo damn sweet wow he deserves all the profit he makes off that delicious looking pizza.
Thank you so much for holding on to this video for an additional week.
you got frenchy french guy over here! mean while pizza shop guy has the most new yorker voice ive ever heard
An Italian and a French guy making pizza together 👏
Dom is the quintessential Italian
Mark and a lot of high-end new York Pizzerias use old dough. They leave it out and it bubbles up and collapses to an almost goo. You will not get the same fermentation on it.
Dom is such a nice guy
what a cool couple of dudes :)
being invited to family italian dinner is badass alex XD
