No, you misunderstood. New requirement says that you cannot be listed as an executive of a company (of the one that DOES NOT sponsor your visa) while on a family, student and work visa sponsored by another company. Such action will be treated as illegal work.
My current situation is exactly the same, I just got registered my Company in Yiwu and I have Employee work card with me. Although I have asked my Guangdong based Employer to cancel my work card so I can apply new one on base on Legal person of my newly registered company. is that okay or could be troublesome ?
Not recommended, as the system is accessible by all immigration offices across China. Better appoint a Chinese citizen as your company director and supervisor, and you remain as shareholder and continue your education, or just apply for work and residence permit sponsored by your company and work legally.

@@nasseralqahtany206 yes, you can. However please note that company director and supervisor cannot be the same person. So you will need two separate individuals for these roles, both or either one can be a shareholder of the company.

You need to speed up. Otherwise it might be treated as illegal work. Cancel the current WP then apply to the new one in Yiwu.
