Nice man! I have loved this song for so many years now. Im 50 now and when i was 20 i had my own summer six a side soccer team and i called us Troops of Doom. I remember the players from other teams called Man Utd, Chelsea etc spinning out when they read who they were up against haha

Beginners question - why all downstrokes on first palm muted part? I usually do down-up-down-up, but my reasoning is simple - I am a beginner, I cannot do all downs so quickly. Is there any particular reason and benefit in doing all by downpicking?

Downpicking sounds heavier, as there is more Power in it. But in the end it does not make all that difference.

It's good that you're practicing alternate picking first! Downpicking is very useful, but alternate is even more useful in the long run.
