Try to get yourself a gps. That will get you a more accurate reading. I heard you talking about switching gearing, etc... to reach a goal of 4 more mph. I'll bet you already have that 4 mph but are just getting a "bad" reading with the radar. Or have some sit in the middle of the "strip" with the radar and drive as straight as possible towards him. I'm sure you can find someone to do it......beer pays a lot of bills on the river...... Good luck! Nice boat!

Wayne this is a Blown Alcohol Beismeyer Flat Bottom lake boat / fun boat lake rocket . Not a Race Boat . He now has another engine with mumbo jumbo . From memory this had 1400/1500 hp . A Blown Pontiac would be my choice @ 1700 hp
We put anywhere from 1200 t0 1800 hp in these boats. More than that could be done, but nobody knows where the hull design limitation is until that threshold is crossed and somebody possibly gets hurt.. At APBA timed speed events these types of hulls have eclipsed 150 so we know low 150's are possible but few people dare attempt that.

Not even close to an accurate "radar" reading. Give yourself more credit. "Angle of deviation" when using radar....look it up. You were probably going faster than what the radar was reading.

In order to get the true speed, you need to divide the measured speed of the radar by the cosine of the off axis angle.

There are very few outboard 120+ mph boats. And even if they’re close in mph, They never sound nearly as good as the big block
