Awesome list even though there's some really cool knives missing. Lol. But that's Sweeney, I am so glad I got one. Fantastic and you know the feel-good is my favorite Jack Wolf so far
My faves of 2023 are, in order of acquisition: Bestech Mothus Quiet Carry Nine Bestech VK Void Griffin Scout F3 Berg Sweeney Been on a reverse flick front flip kick lately
@@chriscole7941 That's a really tough one, and depends on what you personally value but personally I'd give the edge to the Sweeney based on how tightly built and well tuned it is by Reate. It's very clicky, action's very crisp and smooth, more comfortable in the pocket, feels of refined quality. The F3 however might be a better designed knife. I prefer the blade shape and grind, slightly better ergonomically (both are good though), better access to the blade opening hole (but getting the thumb flick is easier on the Sweeney), easier more standard or well-rounded front flipper operation (but the Sweeney is particularly excellent for the thumb front flip, and the over the top index is good too if your finger gets used to it), tip tucks away more completely in the closed position (Sweeney has one of those tips you can touch but you really have to try to), both good lockbar access but the Sweeney is notably more comfortable on that. F3 has a clunkier more machine-like feel and more metallic sounds. Nothing particularly unique, but some might prefer that quality over the more refined feeling and slightly muted sounds on the Sweeney. Both have equally snappy action in my experience, but the F3 has that "chunk" like it kicks slightly harder.
Very cool list of knives here; I have not had the pleasure of handling any of these but I have the Varatas and Qvist Variant PE3 and they are two of my favorites. I can imagine the Vanish being a great slip joint and I’m glad you are singing it’s praise. As for the Cavol Denka, I absolutely love the design and I’m eyeing that knife and the Shimo. The others I don’t know much about but they are looking good and I wouldn’t say no to any of them!
I was really bummed I missed the Sweeney I was about to buy the damasteel just to get that carbon fiber 😂 lucky me though he did a restock on the regular version of anybody’s looking!
Kevin come on bro, how can you say the stock F 5.5 clip is great?! It’s probably the worst clip on any knife I’ve handled. Thankfully the lynch clip fixes it, can’t believe they released it that way. Also, is there any connection btwn all your fav production knives, If I’m not mistaken, being all knives you have or had affiliate links with?
Im left handed so i like the clip cuz it works really well as a clip, doesn’t bother me in hand. The affiliate thing makes sense, if i love something, i try to get a link for it. Why not promote the stuff i really like? Win win
If what you mean by perspective is just paying attention to quality and design and not any names or country of origin that might bias ones view then yeah "perspective" 🧐
U know my opinion from the video and the other 40 videos ive done on them. I don’t hold punches. These are the best, id like to see something better, let me know what it is and I’ll try to find one ti compare

Great video Lefty. All very cool knives. Respect. D

All great choices. Shimo as well
Like your enthusiasm and knowledge. All the knives seemed unimpressive, but I like sculpted wooden handles or G10 at a push.
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback
Great list Kev, My 5 FAVES are as follows:
1. Divo Pony Stout
2. WE Saakshi
3. Q’VIST BW InVert
4. Fox Baby Core
5. Kizer Deadpool Mini Sheepdog
Heck yea!
Love your enthusiasm for your knives!!! Totally get it!
I was really bummed I missed the Sweeney I was about to buy the damasteel just to get that carbon fiber 😂 lucky me though he did a restock on the regular version of anybody’s looking!
Nice I’ve been eyeing that Sweeney
Big fan of the Sweeny. FYI the sweeny and F5.5 share the same pivot.
Yea makes sense since its reate and a spinning one.
Great choices
Giantmouse Riv with Magnacut
Great video.....I dozed off at the end but overall great content!
😂 good one
10:12 lol
what variant of the lynch clip do you have on that f5.5?
They make one for this knife. Urban edc sells it
@@LeftyEDC sorry, I should’ve been more specific. I know they sell it but I want to know what finish is on it
@@Dxwnlxadprobably just the blasted one
@@LeftyEDC thanks!

Mini tempest
Why are all the good knives Right Hand only
Try carrying back left pocket. Changed the game for me
Hi 👋 kev
JW, slip joint of the year??? 300 bucks from an unknown china manufacturer. Perspective I guess...
If what you mean by perspective is just paying attention to quality and design and not any names or country of origin that might bias ones view then yeah "perspective" 🧐
Honest questions.. Have you tried one in hand yet? And why does knowing the name of the manufacturer equate to quality?
