William Handford Thank you Sir Terrible video work but glad you appreciate the content! Had a distinct sound., people who bought I had a cam job done on it! Be blessed Lance
I have a set of 158's left from my last exhaust. This makes me want to take out my dads vance and hines baffles on his 883 and install the TTI. Might just have to do this today now. LOL
If I ever get another sportster, and it has a 4.5 tank, I will definitely put monkey bars on it......that is the best look I've seen for the 4.5 and the bare bones, I had on one, amazingly comfortable
Thanks so much Ruger!!! Was such a tough call.., I love the peanut tank style but a little more mileage was very nice. Only issue with the bare bones is that I wouldn’t pair it with monkeys…, you don’t feel very planted when at speed. Thanks and be blessed Lance
I put the TTI in my short shots a few hours ago, with no baffles. Sounds mean and I can feel a difference in riding it surprisingly, I didn't think it would actually do anything but make it sound different.
TylerDD I bet that would sound awesome! The short shots are already beautiful! Ya, it definitely allows the bike to perform better by allowing better functioning exhaust. Be blessed
@@MudderPutter I'm surprised, and excited! Just a 2017 iron 883, but I have a arlen ness big sucker and dynojet powervision coming in the morning. Curious what kind of difference that'll add!
TylerDD Beautiful bike! Is your breather still stock? Generally you’ll notice some difference when freeing up the bike breathing (in & out) imo. But the actually gains may be hard to judge. I think most of the fun is in making the bike your own, modding things as you go.👌
I did 3" DNA slip ons for my '20 883 Iron. Sounded absolutely awesome, BUT I could tell there's something going on with acceleration in initial loss of power and then it picks back up. I also smell fuel in the exhaust. Do I need to just add a thumb washer or lollipop for back pressure or do I need to spend $400 on a street tune? No change to intake or header pipes.
Hey William Not too sure what your bike will need. I didn’t have to change much..., does the DNA slip ons have much for a baffle? If not, lollipops might help.... That bike being carbureted as well., it’s a bit gas-y smelling either way. When I first added the lollipops, I had a hard time gauging the bike; just sounded so different. Keep an eye out on your gas mileage, condition of spark plugs..., that should tell you a few things.
sounds great. almost sounds just like my 900+$ yaffe crack pipes. That's weird you lost bottom end power those are supposed to increase it. Have you tried tuning them? then them slightly till you have your low mod and high power back and that luscious sound too. they are tune "turnable" for adjustments
Your welcome. hahaha I get alot of comments about my helmet. That's actually a face guard made of steel with leather inlining with skill button snaps for the strap very comfortable and saved my face from countless rocks bugs and even a Bird! the look on people's faces when I pull up on my chopper is priceless it's the omg with fear look and my bike shakes their whole car lol it's a 135" 2212cc with crack pipes on it so all you see is flames and a real heavy idle off the .635 cams lol. Btw if you want to know if your running properly use an air fuel gauge then tune it to the proper settings it'll make a world of difference for you. remember more flow out means more air flow in and more fuel. hope that helps abit
Thanks Richard It was a bit of work.., you need to get rid of the stock riser and Speedo. I found a used speedo housing from another model sportster and could use a generic riser from there. But I lost a few of the indicator lites, went down to 4 I believe and had to get the little indicator lamps themselves. I don’t have much info unfortunately but there are a lot great threads on the xlforum (XL Forum). Thanks and be blessed Lance
@@MudderPutter thanks for the info, I’ve seen videos of peoples bike with different risers but they never say which one they are running. That helped a lot.
5:40 what is with the slow turn over at start up. I just bought a sportster and it does the same thing. Thought it was a Harley thing but haven’t noticed it anywhere else.
Thanks Edward…, not sure if I’ll be able to get the exhaust apart…, high humidity up here. Everything rusts and seizes to quickly🤦♂️ Really got used to it., hard to tell actual power vs sound changes.

I got some stainless lollipop baffles off ebay www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/172556218585?chn=ps . Threw them in my drag pipes on my harley, made a big difference at idle and improved mid range. Mates cruiser same result. Surprised at the difference these little things make.
Beautiful sound!! Great looking bike!

Where did you get that cable kit? I like them.
you might want to increase the idle to 1000 to 1100, so oil will make to the top end.
Thank you Sir.., it’s was a long winter and was not warmed up. Good ole carb...👌👌
It’s still idling to low,not enough oil pressure! I have one that’s blue with goose neck pipes! Sounds great when idle is set to best lope!

I wonder if you can insert the baffles in as well or modify them to fit?
I’m sure you could.., not sure if there would be any advantages, other than adding more back pressure?
Put the 258s on my 1200 custom and damn the bike is obnoxiously loud lol. Now I feel like I'm riding a 1200 or something bigger

Pretty sure I had to really work at it as well. Some good penetrating oils and let sit.
Than keep working and taping at it .
Good luck🙏
Did you put different jets in
Been quite a few years.., think I had up to stage 2 kit👌

That’s too bad.... they were a nice economic choice. Love the sound and look as well!

I have Ultima ones. Sound almost exactly the same as CS
You can’t get pulled over for a Harley Davidson being “to loud” the sound is patented.
