Lots of good info from Steve In this video and the next one coming over the next few days. We also go in to his experiences playing European Tour events...
👏👏👏👏👏, 1. Had grip pressure on the noggin. 2. Well I'm going 48, to flight control, although it's my 52 yardage. Niiiiice. 3. Taking the 52 green side and nailing it, .. hands was a lil light, but the technique pulled the shot off. Again, build you a low bounce wedge for greenside work, 4 and less and watch the magic happen.
As a member at cumberwell it’s great to see you how you play it and get Steve’s input as well! Very good timing with the rough, it’s usually a recipe for depression
Good to see you relaxed and hitting good shots and short game looking better. It's good you have Leon, Konig and guys like this to bounce things off of and pick their brains.
These scrambles are my in my opinion your best content. You play with seasoned pros and up your game on a more relaxed level. One of the few videos I watch right to the end in anticipation
What a great realization , golf is one of the rare sports that you aren’t taught how to actually play , you learn how to swing and hit the shots and off you go , unless you have a friend who is a low handicapper or get special on course management lessons , all other sports have coaches on hand giving strategies and technique training and drills , golf a coach is an extra at the players expense , that’s why in the USA golf in college the kids are so lucky .
Well done James really enjoyed watching you and Steve ,you looked so relaxed and it showed throughout your game kid, can’t wait to watch the next instalment.
Enjoyed that James . 👍 You have got some serious potential just got to keep pushing , remember people can only get in your head with your permission, keep believing. Dropped you a sub mate
Enjoyed this a lot. You were so much more relaxed, I get it's easier conditions but it was so noticeable in your shots. Perhaps a mental coach/sports psychologist would be able to help with that, know a lot of people that have benefited from one
Brutally honest with the last round jimmy, difficult to put that out there, well done, correct in your assessment that your short game is lacking if you want to really compete, looking forward to see how you approach this one👍 best of luck
Cool vlog James 👍⛳️ hope the games coming on well, if you strike the ball like you hit your driver theres definitely an under par card in the locker ⛳️
Enjoyed the comment about the club championships! I play off 15 and it was the club championship at my home course this weekend.. fastest greens I’ve ever played on and shot terrible! 😂 keep on grinding mate!
Nice Video. I’d like to hear you guys line of thinking on tee shots into various par 4s. Are you thinking of a number to have left in and what are some swing thoughts to shape the ball with the driver. Thanks great videos. You are an inspiration to your fellow golfers like myself who are just trying to get better at this crazy game we love.
Echo comments of you looking much more relaxed and it showed in your swing and putting. Two other youtubers with the Quest for the open series showed how different competition conditions are and reflected in their scores numerous times showing real world golf not edited highlights. Many of the good players you play with show the heightened level of control over the ball that's necessary to compete but still manage to get up and down when they do get into trouble as well, this will progress your game rapidly I'm sure. Following your progress with interest and support and just like when England play football I'm an expert at football coaching and advising up and coming golf pros. 😁
@@GolfJamesWiltshire Well your mindset whilst playing has improved massively. You would have been losing your shit if you had played a comp like that last one in your last years headspace. Keep a level temperament when you are playing badly and you can maximise opportunities to stay balanced when you start hitting a purple patch.
Only comp I've play in was a mizuno pairs comp at forest of Arden and most of the pin placement were tasty. Couldn't imagine how hard it would be being set out of a tour. event
@@gustavagren2976 Let me re-word. Once you pick the ball whoevers ball has been picked do they play first (basically @James could you let us know who's ball you pick each hole)
That's talent discribs exactly what you need to do to get out the rough, and then nearly holes it, I would have thinned it onto the next green after saying all that lol.
Re Negative comments: I've not read any on your channel. Some people will say your not good enough blah, blah. But it's just an opinion. The only thing I'd say is that a golf score is pretty self explanatory. Main thing was that you posted a score.
Just heard the mention about a guy saying 10 hcp's would take money off of ya, and I have a proposition. Play that fucker for his house on a tournament set up course! That'll correct his statement :p
Steve’s a boss

His wedge game is on point. The "frying pan" at 14:08 are you testing out the 62?
Every shot that guy hit was just pure..like you said in last vid he gives up distance but the control he has is a diff level 👏
Can’t fail to pick up bits from Steve and quality golfers you play with. Great content and great watch. You striking ball well there James.
Cheers Garry! More decent players coming!
As a member at cumberwell it’s great to see you how you play it and get Steve’s input as well! Very good timing with the rough, it’s usually a recipe for depression
Haha yeah I can imagine that being a tough test if they got it fast with the rough up
James Wiltshire For sure, can lose a ball that pitches in the middle of the fairway. Hope you get to play blue soon
Good to see you relaxed and hitting good shots and short game looking better. It's good you have Leon, Konig and guys like this to bounce things off of and pick their brains.
Really cool vlog. I liked the hole presentation. Stay in touch with this guy; he is a efficient teacher and his game draws attention.
Great format and enjoyed the shot making tips and thinking - Steve seems like a really good guy!

Glad you enjoy them. I think you'll like the next couple with Steve too!
Steve's pitching and wedge game is superb. Great video James, great to hear from an experienced tour pro like Steve
It's unreal!
Loving these Vlogs James.
Steve seems like a top bloke.
Steve's a great bloke... Followed him round Lingfield Park where he holds the course record!! Pass that on to him if you can James! 😁
He'll probably see this mate

Yeah I need to chill like this in comp rounds mate
The quality of your videos at the moment are great you've got a bit of everything it's awesome.
Love these course blogs where you talk through your shots. Particularly liked discussion about hitting the chip out of the rough.
Glad mate, great one Coming up next
Best video in a while! Enjoyed that
Great video James you can see how great his short game is. You have to get their. Don F from USA

More coming!
Good golfer - has a swing that reminds me of oosthuizen's

Can already tell this will be a banger
Lots of Info from Steve In these couple videos
Fresh trim
Yes James you’re smashin it bro
Greens over in the U.K. seems so slow. Here in Texas you could tee your putter up with the swings you guys putt with
Cool vlog James 👍⛳️ hope the games coming on well, if you strike the ball like you hit your driver theres definitely an under par card in the locker ⛳️
Short game is coming mate that's what I'm grinding on right now

Best Vlog thus far James. Would you never consider gripping down to gain more accuracy? You could be Euro Tour standard
Great video james , games looking really good. Just wondering what , what handicap were u when you were 18 ?
Thanks mate, about 2 I think
Some very nice golf in there 😊👌

Enjoying the videos, keep them coming, but where is the Flower?
Flower is spending his time behind the camera atm. Trying to get him out for a return soon
Love it. Thank you.
You looked a bit smoother James. Playing with Steve is doing you good and not just playing thoughts, tips.
Great video mate and for a 10 handicapper beating you 😂 funniest thing I have heard some people are just unbelievable
Haha you gotta love it mate 😂
Such good content
Glad you think so mate
I'd like to see a 10 HC compete with that golf 😂😂🙈
Interesting the difference in the strike noise between the two of you. Top banana content.

Yeah different beast mate
brilliant
Let's be honest. Anyone who "rinsed" you for the last round doesn't know Jack about golf.
23.06 - I assume you were talking to the audience and not Steve 😂
James lad your swing is looking great just need to tighten up from 100 yards in and then those real low scores will come , keep it up bud
Nice James, for scramble is it whoever hits first is who's 'ball' you're using on that shot?
Nah, you decide wich ball you want to play from.
@@gustavagren2976 Let me re-word. Once you pick the ball whoevers ball has been picked do they play first (basically @James could you let us know who's ball you pick each hole)
That’s right Dan👍
What sort of putter is Steve using? Want!!!
Steve looks like a proper old school pro.
He's class
Did you meet Steve through Konig? He said he’d met him on sunshine tour
I met Steve out on the Jamega mate

Contents naughty. Defo could think about investing in a shot tracer to help get the views it needs xx
Think I'm guna get some.shot tracer in soon!
Was he drawing on his ball before every hole?? Someone explain pls
Smart
You think Harry Flower and Rickie Flower are related?
Let’s go
👊👊
Good job you weren't playing him at match play mate
That's next
James mate ignore the negative sh*t. Your short game will pick up with practice & your keen enough. Want to see you do well brother
Cheers mate, appreciated
Play stroke play against these guys so you can get a good idea of how good your game is against them
Next video mate
Shot tracers.
Coming
Trim trim, doesn’t look as bad as flowers but did he cut it I’ve seen better hair cuts from you😂
Hasn't been cut for weeks mate, was shaved right off I cba anymore 😂
James Wiltshire I done the exact same last week and completley regret it now 😂

How are you pro?
Anyone who thinks a 10 handicap can truly compete with a scratch or better player, around a golf course set up for pro tour golf is deluded.
