    Steve is absolute class, a real gent and a great mentor. Calming down the over complicated thoughts and simplifying each shot to gain confidence and allow misses to be less intimidating. Think his influence will only benefit your game! Keep up the great work and great content!

    What a quality vlog and Steve is an absolute star. Great to hear his take on how you plot your way around a course, and the thinking. Advice for us all. Can see why he has done so well.
    Your game is in a great place now James. Just gotta hit fairways and take it on course during tournament rounds....
    Steve’s caddy don’t think twice, go do it.....

    What an absolute gent Steve is, seems like a great guy giving you superb advice, I think you force some shots at times and Steve's advice after 5 holes was take a club more and a nice easy swing and it worked a charm every time! Keep working with Steve!

    Great advice. I started breaking 80 after taking one more club on all iron shots. Steve a classy dude.

    Nice of this bloke to help but he's said a lot of this before. Next round report... I tried a knock down thirty foot fade holding into the wind 2-iron and snap hooked it for a 7! Either way I'm all in.

    Another really insightful video. One thing that Steve talks about in every hole is having a target in the distance to start or aim your shot at. Personally I overlook this when I’m playing and think too much about the pin or the green. Having something like a tree in the distance can really focus the mind and allow you to hit the right shot.

    It is surprising just how much sound advice in the form of course management can impact scoring. James is fortunate to have Steve helping him, I can see this arrangement really benefiting James providing he makes a point of taking the advice and actually practicing it when playing. and that goes for all of us.

  • @willfisher6712
    @willfisher6712 4 года назад +1

    I totally agree with Steve. If you can, try and hit your stock shot and commit to it. If you're 5 yards long because you flushed it then that's not a bad result! Good stuff James, can see some great scores coming

    That was really interesting James. And it shows that as you (we) are playing better golf, we must learn new shots all the times. Like when one doesn't have the guns to reach the green in 2, then ups and downs will save pars. But if one can reach the greens in 2, then chances are that the 1st putt will be a longer 1 and birdie chances would be around 10-12 feet away from the pin. Your chipping was really good. Increasing your stats on the putter from 10-12 feet will prove very effective. Good luck. Really hope you make it on your soon.

    Just wondering about your driver, loft/length/shaft...etc. I assume its custom fitted but do you feel there is 'no fear' when hitting driver or would a few yards less and a couple more fairways hit be a plus?
    Also curious about some of the decisions off the tee leaving less than 100yds (or full club in)....thoughts? Maybe a self test to see if you get closer on average from 60-70yds vs 100-120yds?
