  • Not all LED strips are the same. These LED strips basically fall into two different categories direct LED strips and addressable LED strips. In this video I go through the difference between each one. The addressable allows you to control each LED independently so if you wanted to make a chaser LED or where the LED moves from one LED to the next so it gives the appearance of motion then you Will need to choose this style. Of course they’re more expensive but it depends on what you need. If you’re just looking to change the color of the LEDs all at the same time a direct LED strip is lower cost and I’ll give you what you need.

Hi great informative video.. I want to ask a question tho... For the place that im planing to place the addressable rgb led strip i have purchased i actually need less the length i purchased.. If i cut from any cutting sections marked, will it affect the argb functioning or cause it not to work properly or even not to work at all in any ways?

I don’t think you can use 4 pin lights on a 3 pin controller. Always make sure pin setup and voltage match on controller and lights

Is it worth putting 144 led per meter strip behind a desk? It would be hidden and the light would bounce off the wall? Or is it 60 led per meter enough for that?

Hi can you cut off addressable led strips. For example cut the 5 meter strip so that it would be 4 meters?

I was going to leave the same comment. Just a little bit of planning or a script and this could have been a much more watchable video.
