    Thanks for the fine gathering of your completed improvements to the DF64, CY. I have followed you from the beginning of this wonderful journey and love the way you have documented everything along the way. As my budget allows I will be adopting your improvements, especially the dosing cup. I did especially like your popcorn pink period...lol. I look forward to you future endeavors, amigo. Cheers.

    If you don’t have an anti popcorn mod, you can put a v60 on top of the grinder. That doesn’t reduce the grinding time, but it will stop the beans from jumping out.

    Great videos. I Used your beans on a 27 setting with the df64 this morning. It was like a 10 second shot for a 37g’s! so maybe I’ll go closer to the 20-25 range for the next try. It actually didn’t taste awful though just a turbo shot lol!

  • @ccerhr
    @ccerhr 3 года назад +1

    I notice many using a flat burr grinder will turn on the grinder before pouring in the beans. It has been tested to have more consistent grind size. Probably when you receive the sieve sets, you can do a sieve and taste test. Thank you CY!

      By the way, I agree 100% with your opinion on the burrsets. Not necessary to change it if the DF64 is your first grinder. Interesting to change the burrs if you have some experience with other grinders. Personally, I went with the MP SSP for light roast espresso. They bring out clarity and acidity in a good way, and they leave the slight bitterness from the overextraction on the fines. ✌️

    Im sure you have experience many Espresso machines and im in process to get one for home to make 4 espressos a day only. My first choice is Lelit Elisabeth second option Profitec Pro 300 or pro 400 each machine has its advantages however Elisabeth has many setting that the two other machines dont have or limited. I do have already the the grinder that you feature. Would appriciate your opinion

    I see you try to look at the camera more. Nice. Would you be able to design a mod that a) brings the portafilter closer to the spout and b) tilts it so it gets horizontal again (to compensate for the 10degree base). Just an idea.

      oh yes...I have to work until 2am this morning to clear my back log. BTW Jean, you will receive first tracking notification as shipped and delivered. That is the local courier that pick up the parcel from me and deliver to DHL Singapore. And from there it will ship to you and internationally. As the shipping is the cheapest available (and I am trying my best to keep it low) the shipping time is not really ideal. Will take about 3 weeks at least to reach you.

    Hey, thanks a lot for you videos. I have one comment. SSP MP burrs is better for lightroast espresso than SSP HU burrs. You can easily compare it. MP burrs gives you more clarity in the cup which is very good for light roast espresso. HU burrs has a advantage with medium and dark roasts because it produces better thicker texture and no one likes MP burr high clarity for dark roasts.

    • @CaffeMartellaSingapore
      @CaffeMartellaSingapore  3 года назад

      thanks for the feedback. I have all 3 types of SSP and I will test them too. Its confirm SSP multipurpose producea high clarity and I usually used it for light to medium roasted filtered coffee.

      @@CaffeMartellaSingapore thank you for your quick reply. I have one addition to make: comandante is also good for lightroast espresso in my opinion because it can make a fruity espresso taste so fresh and acidic. thanks for your videos, your 3d models and your work. greetings from germany and stay safe!
