Because the team principal/manager builds, repairs and tunes the car., right ? What the team manager does, is throw money or manpower at a problem, and then they fix it. He has gotten lucky that there were competent enough people at the job sites he was boss at, plus that he didn't screw the company over by splitting already working teams up, like most CEO's or managers do when they start.

In 1999 The Michael lost the chances of a title halfway through the season, and history repeated itself last year with Leclerc. OH MY GOD! OK IT'S HAPPENING, EVERYBODY STAY CALM!
