I found that you can hide in the grass inside the distortions, and Pokemon will spawn infront of your character, and they will despawn and spawn new ones quickly if you're not seen. Saves you from stunning the Pokemon and will also prevent the 3 way battles.

Practice dodging. Also, if you have a bunch of revives/heals and don't mind your mons fainting, then try to ko the mons you don't. The time for the zone stops with battles, so that will help with that pressure too.
Just buy some sticky globs and you are set to stun and catch. They are your friends in the distortions since one basically stun a almost all mons. Also throwing a back-strike at one Pokémon you want to battle only initiates battle with the back striked Pokémon so if you don’t want to fight 4 at a time I suggest stunning to pokeball to the back. Or running behind the pokemon while it attacks and throwing out your pokeball to its back.
I have managed 3 full odds shinier somehow, and I mean true full odds as the Bibarrel, Croagunk, and Gliger were all first captures when I found them shiny. I have never gotten a full odds or random encounter shiny in any other pokemon game to date

I know the button guide says you can do it with the A button, but much to my frustration I've never gotten A to actually do anything. Do you have to press both ZL and A at the same time to switch lock-on targets or something else?
With features like the time-space distortion, the trainers need a better movement feature. They run almost as bad as the movie version of the Flash but even slower as they look more like a weak run rather than a proper run and we can't jump which would be helpful in rocky areas.
If you see shiny in those just start fight with it and throw balls until you catch it. I believe the time of space distortions will stop if you start fight with anything in it and if the shiny is one of those that despawn in about 30 seconds this time will also stop but the pokemon will instantly despawn if you lose/run from the fight.
You can get them both ways, do the side quests for the general store to expand and I think you can get the recipe as you increase your rank dont really remember or at the recipe shop.
My 1st rift the minute it started I got a shiny Lickitung. What I like to do is I'm only on map 2 is when it starts I go around and collect all the items (I'm looking for the rainbow item - which is the rare items). Then once I got all items I start doing pkm. After watching your video I realized that I am unable to get an ice stone. I have gotten multiple of every evolution item like I have 5+ cloths, etc. I've been trying to get an ice stone so I can get my last one Glaceon. It's strange that that's the only Stone not in the list.
The second distortion that I was in spawned an alpha Leafeon. I am still early in the game so I baited it with a berry and was going to back strike it with a feather ball. A lickitung ran up behind it making it turn around and I caught the Lickitung instead. Should have acted quicker and battled it as no Pokémon were seeing me waiting in the grass.
I haven’t gotten an alpha Pokémon yet. Can you throw ur alphas into battle too or are they only for show. I’m curious if shiny are like that too or if they are better versions with different moves too or just different colors.
Alphas can be used in battle. They're basically like the normal version of that Pokémon, but bigger and they have one random move tutor move (so one of the moves the red haired woman at the training grounds can teach your pokemon). Shinies are just like the normal version, they just have a different color and are rare, which is why so many people want them.
It seems that the space time distortion also glitches out if you're downed inside of it and shortly after save the game. Had that and haven't seen any distortion ever since. If there was only a non modding way to spawn these with less rng involved....

dont worry you can find one that spawns everyday later, the only time to be upset is if an actual rare spawn alpha gets away or if you dont catch it, like alpha sneasel, porygon, eevee, fossils, etc
If you find a shiny or a despawning Pokémon you really want, engage it in battle… then defeat the other mons (if there are any. If it’s not one of the 3 chasers you can battle them solo) or you can do what I do and ignore every other Pokémon in the battle, catch the mon I wanted and then run away from the rest. Easy peasy.
@@linuxt2579 yep. A lot of people seem to forget they can even run away in this game lol hell you can even LITERALLY run away and it’ll end the battle. And when it’s something that is going to run away, or you are in danger of losing it? Engage it in battle 100%. (I mean if it’s going to run it’ll run, but in those cases you can save the game..)

I had a shiny heracros w.e its name is spawn in one of these but i accidently knocked it out in a battle. They didnt do a very good job with the button layout. Too easy to accidently attack instead of throwing the ball. Still a fun game only big complaint is the bad button layout.

Fun fact: I got a alpha porygon-z spawn once, i couldn't catch it sadly because my team was pretty damaged because of other catches, and it wiped my team and just wouldn't leave me be and I had a really bad environment so it was Doomed to fail.
I recently encountered a Shiny Alpha Eevee right next to where a Spacetime Distortion formed, inside the Distortion there were Eevees everywhere chasing after me. I couldn't stop laughing.

My first Weavile in Pokémon Legends Arceus was an Alpha, and then immediately after catching it I found Alpha Sneasel!? What are the odds of that??!!

Got a shiny Rapidash from it. Distortion was about to end too so I had to battle it.
Found an alpha Porygon and before I had time to dismount from Wyrdeer and enter combat, I died from a hyper beam. These things are difficult!!!
I had an Alpha Steelix spawn 2 seconds before the distortion ended. :(

Doesn’t make a difference. Just use grit items on your Pokémon. The smallest size will be just as powerful as an alpha Pokémon.
