Simple but very helpful, not a bunch of extra chit chat about other stuff just went straight to the point, we'll done! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10
I just watched 2 other videos and yours was the best! Super simple, straight to the point. Thank you so much! God bless.
Yes, I am thinking the same !
You are the only video I came across that actually explained this to me.. Thank you..
Wow. 1:07 that sound really changed. I been having my Blue Yeti sitting in my closet for 2 years and I could've been using it with my phone 🤦♂️🤣. Thanks so much. 👍👍👍
Sell it to me haha
Great video! You make it seem very simple. I had watched other videos and they had absolutely tied my brain in a knot. Thank you!
Bro! You definitely helped me! I have a blue yeti and i want to start a lil podcast and music review type situation with my android galaxy 10+ ...Appreciate you fam! This is good stuff!

Hola
I really enjoyed the new blue yeti microphone and I like singing.
YESSS! This is the video I've been searching for! I can't get any playback monitoring using a blue yeti and Samsung. Got the splitter ordered. Fingers crossed it works. Thanks so much! 👍
What samsung you got

If it does not work with the camera that came with the phone. Download the Open Camera app
@@AnySoundGoesASMR It doesn't work with that either. It works with other mics, just not the blue yeti.
They blue yeti may only be compatible with S Samsungs like the S9 and up. It not compatible with the A Samsungs
Gotta Yeti mic. Gotta adapter. Gotta splitter. Got my Sony headphones. And gotta book. Thanks man. 🎉
Thank you! I needed this video for ages! Finally great to find someone who actually makes sense! :) thanks!
Talk about making shit simple. You are awesome!
Thanks for the simple directions, short and sweet always gets it done.
O my gosh THANK YOU so much!!! I have been looking for this exact piece of information for 2 hours now!! 💕💕 ill gp buy the last cord i need, hopefully it all works out! Have a great day!
Trying to set up the blue yetti for our podcast. thanks for the helpful info. :)
i would've never figured out how to hear myself while using the mic on my own lol. thank you for the succinct video!!
Bro please help out , does the living monitoring work with earpiece directly going under the bottom of the mic port instead of using the splitters?
Yes it does. You don't need a splitter
@alienn4145 yes, you don't need a splitter
Quick and simple thanks.
Hey, It worked, I didn't use auxiliary cord but I could hear myself after connecting my headphones to the mic,
So I was wondering what does the auxiliary cord do,
Thanks.
Thank you so much! I keep phones forever and have a S9, I've been trying to find a way to live monitor while using my Blue Yeti with the USB adapter and no one has been able to answer this, even me asking Blue customer service directly 🙈 this was very straightforward. Now I just need to get a headphone splitter like you showed. I was about to take my Blue Yeti to the store to try it out on newer phones thinking that was the issue 🤦🏼♀️ you just saved me buying a new phone when I don't need one right now.
Glad I could be of service 🙂
@@AnySoundGoesASMR unfortunately, I got two different adapters, two different splitters... And still cannot hear live monitoring on my S9 😔
@@alchemysticanomalist we HAVE to figure out a way to live monitor with android. I'm trying to figure it out, I'll keep you posted
When you say live monitor, are you saying going live on TikTok
@@AnySoundGoesASMR Hiii!!! Thank you so much for your time!!! I mean, one day I do hope to be able to go live on tiktok, but for now I just mean being able to hear what I'm doing through the mic while recording. I have a Pixel 4a, and for some reason I can't get anything to work! Your video has been the most helpful, as most are just, 'plug in the headphones and tada'. I have an adapter to plug in the usb to my phone, I even have one of those adapters with three different ports (usb, c, and hdmi?) I have the headphone splitter, and I've tried all of these interchangeably and cant figure it out! I know that my yeti isnt broken because I can hear myself through the mic(live monitor) when I have it plugged into my computer. But I just want the simplicity of doing it through my phone alone. Any help appreciated.
Maybe its because all my headphone jacks have those three lines, meaning they could be used ass mics themselves? Sorry if this is confusing. Thank you so much for your time, I really mean it
Wow big difference sounds good!
amazing video!! straight to the point! Now I need to get that type-c > usb adapter. Thank you!
Thank you for the tutorial and for the links to the products! I am ordering them right now and i hope it works for me! Fingers crossed, haha!

straight to the point. Thank you so much but when I connect OTG to my android phone and use camera for capturing video ,microphone doesn't work and video is silent what should I do ?
You can try download the Open Camera app. Go to settings , audio and choose external mic. The mic may not start to work until you press record. If this doesn't work then your phone may not be compatible.
@@AnySoundGoesASMR thanks a lot🙏
I've heard folks talk of having to download an app to get the mic to work properly when using the USB to USB-C method. Is this true?
How do I get both power cord and the headphone splitter in my phone? There's only one opening. I have a Samsung S20 FE.
You shouldn't need the splitter, you can plug the headphones in the bottom of the blue yeti mic
@@AnySoundGoesASMR no tried but doesnt work
@@nobodyswifeasmr is the power button lighting up? If so, start recording and see if it starts working while the phone is recording
@@AnySoundGoesASMR yes i did that, doesnt work. I can record AND hear myself through the headphones on my old samsung phone, but not on my new one, I dont understand why
I think it has something to do with the Fe version, I don't think it's compatible with the yeti, you can try downloading an app called Open Camera
Qyick and to the point nice!
Wow thank u for you help!!
Could you make a tutorial on how to record a voiceover and save it, please! Thanks so much!

Hey. Thanks for the video. I want to use the Yeti Blue to work from home. I use my cell phone for work. You just convinced me to get this mic. The sound quality is amazing. Can I use the same setup as you just did in the video and hear my clients through the headphones and have a conversation with someone?
I’m currently using a apple. My Samsung broke. So I can’t test that with the apple cause as you know everything has to be compatible for it to. But you could buy the mic and if it does not work for what you need it for, you can just take it back.
How can I hear myself using a Samsung s20? Please help 🙏 😢
Try downloading the open camera app. Go to settings in the app, go down to video setting, the scroll down to audio source and select external mic. See if that works
yes it helped me buddy thanks
Hey! Thank you for the video I went out and bought everything you said and when I record myself it doesn't sound like your😣 what do you think I'm doing wrong?
What phone do you have?
What phone are you using?
I have a samsung s23 Ultra and I think it's 3 adapters bc they don't have a audio jackpot anymore, so I got the one to connect USB to mic, then a adapter for USB C and headphone jack, and I got the one you showed to be able to listen to yourself? I hope I'm thinking right lol
I just looked at the phone, you should be good. You can try just plugging the headphones directly into the yeti mic.
Great video thanks for this! 👍
Thanks bro. Awesome.
one question: It is possible to use this microphone for an interview on instagram live, I can listen to the other person?
Yes. Just have your headphones in. I have now been using an iPhone 7 with the yeti, when I tried to go live with someone. The mic cut out once they spoke. But I think that’s an iPhone problem. I never had that problem with my Samsung.
Thanks, man!
Thank you so much!!!
thanks from ireland
I have a samsung S8 is that a problem? Or is it the same
is it compatible with samsung galaxy s23? Thank you
It should work with the S23.
Thanks for this video, but when I plug it into my phone do I need to lower the volume of the phone? And what settings do you use on the blue yeti?
No you can keep the phone volume up. Just adjust the volume on the mic. I set my volume on the mic to almost half way but then when I edit the video I will lower the volume some more. So you may can set your mic volume to about a half of a half of turn. And has as far the pattern setting. Just play around with that until you get the one you like for what you are doing.
Please help out cant i use an earpiece that go directly under the yeti which has the port instead of using the
Yea you can
The video I was looking for. Thanks!
Thank you sir, you did help

I cannot hear myself speaking as I'm recording on my blue yeti and my android phone. Do you know what I need to do on a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra? They took the 3.5 headphone jack out of the phone. I've been trying everything and thought my mic was broken until I bought a new one and I have the same issue.
Come to find out the newer Samsung phones like that Ultra are not compatible with the mic.
@@AnySoundGoesASMR Any solutions besides a new phone?
Unfortunately not at the moment. Someone called the blue yeti company and they said it wasn't compatible.
Nooo so I got all the connector pieces but unfortunately i'm still not able to monitor myself. All of the cables work, but I can't hear myself while recording or otherwise. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 and have tried the open camera app as well. Any idea of possible solutions?
You can go in open camera app, click the settings in the right hand corner, I think.. the go down to video setting, go down to audio source and switch it to external mic. And try it again. When you try it be sure to press record and see if the mic will connect cause sometimes you have to press record before the mic starts working in open camera.
@@AnySoundGoesASMR Thank you for the advice! Still won't work for some reason, maybe it's not compatible with my phone :(
Okay, I have a Samsung A52 and I have the adapter and the splitter, mic light is on and the phone records through the mic but I cannot hear the live audio no matter what I do..
Try plugging the head phones directly into the microphone

I haven't had to download any apps for audio I just plug the mic up my phone and go to whatever platform I'm using.
why do you use a split cable?
and what is that other cable that ypu connect that is not listed on the links?

But also try it without the slpitter, if you only want to hear the sounds coming through your 🎤. Just plug your headphones right into the yeti.
Does that battery run out quickly? On the phone?
Not really, I made a hour long video one time.
@@AnySoundGoesASMR excellent ima have to give it a go. Is it safe for the phone running such a big device of it?
I've been WONDERING whether I could plug it into my phone. How are you plugging in the power for the Yeti? Just a USB cord, plugged into a wall wart, plugged into the wall? That's an advantage of the Yeti as opposed to the Yeti Pro. With the Pro one, you can't plug it into the wall. It has to be plugged into the computer even just to power it, because it needs drivers that are in the computer. Now I almost wish I bought one that I could plug into my phone.
You need an adapter for your phone that plugs into the charger port on your phone, it should have a USB port on one end. Connect the yeti USB to it and the plug the other end into the charger port on your phone. The mic will then be powered by your phone
Let me know if this helped.
