    Nice specimen with that cod, mate it looked like a steam train was on you're line with that fight you endured, well done. You got a jack anyways and I rekon you're right regarding why the
    Jacks weren't hitting your lures. Was hanging out for another vid..... got me fix now, cheers Timmy turtle 👍

    Your editing and sound choice is excellent! what program do you use and where did you learn to edit so well? i really enjoy this channel def believe its gonna blow up proper. Watching you catch one or two relatively small fish per episode is so much more entertaining than watching some of these big productions with marlins and sails, its crazy! Keep it up man!

    Hey Timmy, great video. Throughout this video when you caught the first jack you said they were so fat from eating jelly prawns. We'll have you heard of the mimix jelly prawn hardbody lure. You should check it out

  • @Jaymon-yn7cy
    @Jaymon-yn7cy 8 лет назад

    Ah Timmy you should go to the Nerang river around the pontoons and oyster beds and see how many species you can get in a set time frame. A series could also be you trying to catch you first Bream on a plastic on the pipe dream. Not sure if you have done it before... have a good one mate!

    thanks timmy turtle, after working in the sun all morning this video inspired me this arvo ( the hottest day this year so far) to stop watching fishing on youtube, get off the couch out of the air con and hit the coomera for some jacks. came home empty handed once again. it has been a hard couple of weeks to find fish. cheers mate. haha.

      very hard i struggled heaps. just had another donut session myself chasing gts, they were busting up everywhere and not one touched the lure. mate I'm glad. you still feel better after a donut then if you talk yourself out of a fish. you never live a missed session down i find. love the comment cheers chris

    The fish you caught was a Blackspot Rockcod. These, and the Goldspot were always commonly referred to as Estuary Cod, and that was easy. So it was inevitable that the Qld Govt would complicate it. Anyway, these are the names you need to be able to find current size and bag limits. Cheers.

    After another afternoon bank fishing in Zambia catching diddly squat but mosquito bites I've decided I need a craft. I priced your materials without a motor it would cost me roughly US $ 450 how does that compare to Auz?
    Keep up the good work I find your videos way better than any local content!

    • @FishingWithTimmyTurtle
      @FishingWithTimmyTurtle  8 лет назад

      Doug Badcock I have a friend who is a plumber and he got the materials for cost price so about 250 without motor or battery. Which would be 180/190 usd so a fair bit cheaper. Thanks mate appreciate the comment

    Great clip TT ..... any chance of customising the boat ? Don't want to break the budget though I was thinking you could draw a ruler on the deck so you could measure your catches easily .... or you could glue a brag mat on there. Maybe add a few leashes to stop any of the gear from floating away just in case the worse happens. Would also love to see an outrigger to increase stability. Once thats done then we can start talking masts and maybe a winged keel :)

    I agree with u as 40lb leader for flattys on sandbars don't seem to cut in anymore, had to move to 60lb for them now😂, that's also one solid cod u got and that's when the 40lb comes in handy. Those bigs jacks will come real soon and then that will make one great vid. Love the music u t adding to the vids aswell, makes them very entertaining to watch👍

    Oi Tim, get some switchblade lures. They are magic. Bream, Jacks, Barra, Trevally, Flatties, Big King George. Anything that is a predator will nail them if you use the right size lure for the target fish. You can either swim them or jig them (Vertical or along sand banks).

    • @mikehotere8780
      @mikehotere8780 8 лет назад

      0755browny I got a 6'6 Daiwa Laguna 4-9kg (i think) baitcast rod from bcf for like 40 bucks. Caught a few bream and flatties on it, seems to be all right although i reckon the guides being micro wont last too long. I have it paired with an e series curado, until rods from the US arrive. Life story mode but that laguna rod could be useful for you mate.
