I caught my first ever jack that i have cought in my life on a little 3 inch squidgies prawn it was small but exciting! I wish i could get out on the water like you and go catch the beauties! My biggest jack is 37 and i caught that while night fishing just past that rock wall where you got those 2 jack
1.2m x 2.4 marine ply. 3m pipes filled with leprechaun breath and fairy dust for extra buoyancy. 100amh battery charging half a crippled horse power 44lb jarvis marine water snake. all held together with rusty screws, brackets and the hopes and dreams of all Australian fishermen.

I've been told that throwing plastics with a reddish colour somewhat resembles a juvenile jack and since jacks are territorial they'll smash the shit of it the moment they see it.
Mate for jacks I'd recommend a soft vibe lure such as the samaki vibalitious, Iv caught hundreds on them and have only used them for a couple of months, biggest was about 60.
Way to go mate, they definitely coming in thick and fast now and they both good size jacks to. At the rate your going you will get the 50cm+ one soon and that will make a good vid. Good to see all your hard work paying off with some big jack

i have a video that runs through the rods and reals i have. only difference is i have changed the zillion to the raider and the cheap real to the favourite rod. just as a bit of a change. and i changed my leader from jato 20lb to fc rock 25lb.
like I said, you dont have to take everything, whether its to small, not your taste. But man, some of those fish look SOOOOO good. Then again, I have not been to australia, so I do not know those kinds of fishing and regulations and tastes and whatnot.
so other people can enjoy catching them. you don't have to eat everything you catch. the fun is all in the catch and release. and that you might be able to catch them again when they are bigger
