I think, the big problem was Bob Chapek. He wanted more content for D+ and more cashcows for the cinema, so he pushed the creators to do more and more, and the quality suffered (Chapek didn't care) and promoted MCU fatigue. The first thing Bob Iger did was to slow everything down again. And recent developments, like re-starting Daredevil, shows that quality becomes more important again. Despite his stupid comments during the SAG-AFTRA stike, he does value creators, and under his management, Disney had a lot of success, as quality is what draws people to the cinema or to D+.
Hawkeye is unironically my favorite Disney+ series. WandaVision, great, Loki, great, FatWS, happened, Moon Knight, confusing, Ms Marvel, stepping stone, She-Hulk, happened, but Hawkeye? What a classic. Christmas series, Hailee Steinfeld, Florence Pugh, pizza dog, tracksuit mafia, Kingpin, Swordsman, get to go back to the first Avengers for a bit, wacky trick arrows, those guys definitely died from that owl, ground level action every episode. Like what more do you want?
The Battle of Yavin was a huge point in time because it showed the Empire was beatable. The only points in the MCU that can compare are either the Battle of New York or the Snap.
I do not care about the Brie Larson haters. I'm looking forward to THE MARVELS. I'm especially hyped to see MONICA RAMBEAU in action using her full set of powers. I've been a fan of that character for a long time, even before her live-action debut in WANDAVISION.
@BaithNa Monica Rambeau has the ability to see and manipulate all forms of energy generated on the electromagnetic spectrum which means anything that generates any form of energy she can detect it, absorb it, and redirect it as energy blast or she can literally change her physical body into that form of energy if she can understand it. For example, she absorbed the kinetic energy of the bullets that were shot at Wanda's children in the finale of WandaVision. Monica Rambeau's power-set is near God like in the comics, and it seems like she is going to open herself to more of her energy manipulation powers in THE MARVELS. I, for one, can't wait!
Ironheart made the Vibranium detector in Wakanda Forever, if you take her out the movie never happens, the entire movie pivots around her and she got Queen Ramonda killed.
They could replace her with a random scientist or even the device itself. It makes no sense that a college student created that anyway. What resource did she have to produce such a device?
As a nerd who comes here for nerdy stuff, I'm all for you guys nerding out. (Some of the on-screen "talent" is more about rambling pointlessly and "amusingly" to I guess fluff a resume? Bring in the tween demo? So confusing.) Keep doing what you're doing, big fan!
There's a rumor that Downey Jr., Evans, and Johansson will *permanently* return by Avengers: Secret Wars. Wouldn't that ruin Endgame? I don't mind but nothing was at stake from Infinity War/Endgame. I read RDJ cried when he got to the part when Tony dies. Said it was f-ing great. I guess RDJ loves portraying Iron Man. He's also well paid from it. As long as RDJ stays alive as he's already 58, he can always portray Iron Man. It's not like he's doing any of the stunts in a robot costume. If Harrison can do an Indiana Jones in his 80s, RDJ can portray Tony as long as he's still alive. It would only undo the stakes from Phase 3. Would MCU fans be open to this? Bring back Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow for good? If RDJ lives up to his 80s, he's got another 15-20 years to portray Tony. But it would mean Infinity War/Endgame didn’t mean anything. Nobody really died. Even Loki and Gamora didn't really die. We got 2012 and 2014 versions of them. We see Heimdall in Valhalla. I read Robert Downey Jr. is a nice guy. A person who worked as an extra said hello while RDJ walked with two other actors next to him and RDJ said hello back and smiled while the other two kept walking. So Tony Stark is RDJ trying to be more of a jackass than the real life version of himself. It's not RDJ acting like RDJ like Owen Wilson acting like Owen Wilson. MCU really hasn't been the same since Iron Man died. Might return to Phase 3 greatness by bringing him, Cap, and Nat back.
I still feel like, even when the MCU stuff isn't going right, it's better than the DC stuff... that makes me mad because I would like the DC stuff to work!
I wish they would bring back the Flag smashers and Karli especially to reveal she was Isiah Bradley's daughter with the Nurse that freed him. It seems that plot point was cut from Falcon and the Winter Soldier...I hope they bring them back.
@@LotkaVolterra There was an explosion but we never saw them die the implication was they were killed but they easily could be brought back. The Karli story was cut it's obvious, which was she was Isiah Bradley's daughter with the nurse...which would have made Falcon's treatment of her more logical. Also, she was a good villain or anti-hero with an awesome origin story. Like Killmonger..
Daredevil only had 6 episodes completed of an 18 episode series, thats less than half. I think Wonder Man will be consolidated with Vision Quest to create a single show that sets up a Children's Crusade storyline.
I know everyone think it’s Thor. I think it’s thors daughter. She has access to the axe and bifrost, she a girl (girl power movie) and also future of marvel. I think more chances of it being her rather than Thor
Brie Larson imho is a great actress but the first movie was a little better than “meh” and I didn’t like the portrayal of the character. Maybe parting ways is the best for everyone. 🤔
Most of the MCU Disney Plus projects are superior to the films. WandaVision, Hawkeye, Loki, and Ms. Marvel are peak. She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Werewolf by Night are better than most Marvel films.
You must be talking about films that began when D+ was beginning (Black Widow, A-M 2, Thor 3)-- because the early movies, through Civil War and INTO Infinity War were the BEST peak marvel. They were the very SPECIAL. Unmatched character arcs, robust stories, organic humor and connections. D+ shows were enjoyable and easy to watch, for the whole family, and not a lot of investment. Those are different types of "good."
@justin.channels No, I'm talking ever made. The Infinity Saga stories don't speak to me as deeply as the phase 4 stories, even though I definitely cried at the end of Endgame. WandaVision was the beginning of a beautiful new era of the MCU, and the only bad projects since then have been Love and Thunder, Quantumania, and Secret Invasion. The films are great but the shows and specials are just on another level. The amount of creatively diverse stories with emotionally compelling mysteries gives me chills every time I think about it.
Why are all the latest videos from New Rockstars mocking Disney? You're supposed to be the happy-go-lucky apologists that celebrate the fact nerdshit is finally having it's day in the sun! If I wanted nitpicky, gatekeepy critique I'd watch Nando or Generation Tech (for Star Wars)
It makes zero sense that a person who killed an unfathomable number of Avengers was defeated by ants and then Wasp's blasters. And that's just the end of the movie. There's tons of plot holes, plot contrivances and poorly written/acted scenes.

Dude, same here. It’s super unfortunate with the amount of backlash Brie has gotten and if she leaves, it will be a sad day for marvel

I just hate that we know nothing about Rambeau's abilities besides she can "see light", which is something literally everyone that isn't blind can do.
