During the games peak it seemed like a lot of Pokémon RUclipsrs favored Delphox in my opinion. I just never liked it because it’s a very feminine design and it just seems dumb to have a starter have very clear characteristics of a gender rather than being neutral. Same reason I reset my sun and moon game when I fully evolved popilo and saw the final form.
I like all the Kalos starters, i think they get too much hate. But Greninja is the best of them and Delphox has a interesting design and fun typing. Chesnaugt looks a little goofy.
I actually considered Hisuian Decidueye being somewhat better than the original, especially when Hidden abilities and Tera comes to the pictures. Triple arrows is way better than spirirt shackle in general
People only care about unova because they grew up on it. Once the games get a remake people will think it’s mid and move onto Gen 6 remakes just like how Sinnoh was considered peak until bdsp came out and people played it again and could see it was pretty mid

Exactly, I love all the concept of the Paldea starters (they're based off of Triple-Threat actors, Meowscarada being acting, Skeledirge being singing and Quaquaval representing dancing, fun fact for anyone interested) and if we're being honest Galar starters are perfectly balanced with what they represent 😅

The Paldean starters have such cool concepts and etymology. I don’t think they’re over-designed. People clown on Skeledirge’s weird looking fire, but it’s based on marigold petals that are commonly associated with dia de los muertos aka day of the dead. A dirge is a mournful song which fits well with its dead, ghostly typing and skeletal design. Birds do sometimes clean out the mouths of crocodiles and in an unused animation, you can see it clean Skeledirge’s teeth. The bird also plays music by pressing the “buttons” on Skeledirge’s upper jaw and having it turn into a microphone that Skeledirge uses is so incredibly clever.

I'll never understand how so many people latch onto one pokemon so hard, I know that Greninja is good for battle, but aside from that I feel like it's severely overrated. I mean, I don't know why chesnaught is so hated when it actually looks really good, and Delphox isn't much worse. Greninja just isn't that much better than the rest in my opinion, better than Delphox maybe, but nowhere near deserving of the worship it receives.

Gen 3 starters are great except for the fact that sceptile doesn't have a second type, the other two are dual types so sceptile should have a second type as well
Advice: If you are battling Steven's Carbink in ORAS(second run) with Sceptile, then don't mega evolve Sceptile at all because Carbink will use Moonblast which is Super Effective on Mega Sceptile

I'm just here to say Treecko and all his evolved forms were the coolest of all the Grass starters for me. Blaziken was also my favorite Fire type, so you can imagine the DILEMMA I had selecting Torchic or Treecko 🤦🏾♂️ Emerald on GB SP was is so GOATED for me lol
3 literally has the coolest typings of any of the starters. Decidueye and Incineroar not only are 2 of the strongest starters but have some of the coolest evolutions. Primarina being fairy type offers great coverage against dragon type Pokémon which are some the strongest in the series. Nostalgia is the only reason this swap would make sense but everything else says this list is correct. Hoenn and Kanto starters all having mega evolutions and already being all insanely strong are clearly above the rest. Me personally would have Johto starters ahead of Sinnoh just based off personal bias but with the points made on this list wouldn’t argue where they are at

Kalos starters, a tad controversial maybe but delphox and greninja are goated… chestnaught is ok 👍 (first playthrough froakie) 3. Alola starters, theyre all amazing and still have the starter vibe while also having their theme. (First playthrough rowlet, still hurt about torracat into incineroar tho…) 4. Hisui starters, they made two mid starters good and one charizard teir starter mid *cough cough* decidueye (first playthrough oshawott) 5. Sinnoh starters, you’re kinda stuck choosing infernape in the games that they are starters. Though, empoleon and Torterra are lovely lil guys. (First playthrough chimchar or piplup, these were my first games when i was like 7 so i dont remember… sinnoh ftw) 6. Paldea starters, if youre only problem is quaquaval is fruity, thats more a you problem than the Pokemon itself. Skeledirge has felt the most like a starter modern games wise and he’s my favorite of the three. I do *not* like meowscarada, so bias kinda made them down this low (first playthrough fuecoco) 7. Unova starters, honestly i like the three of them they just dont stand out above the others above them. (First playthrough oshawott) 8. Kanto starters, solid mons, overdone… (first playthrough charmander) 9. Edit: Meowscarada is my favorite Paldean starter and my favorite pokemon in general. My first ever play through of Pokemon violet, I chose Sprigatito and since then I’ve evolved it to Meowscarada, changed its Tera type to fire, leveled it up to max of 100, and fully maxed out its stats. I love Meowscarada, it’s the best. (IMO)

Unova starters the worst? They’re literally the most animal like trio ever from a snake 🐍, a four Legged seal lion and Pig Blaziken. Literally a Goated trio y’all just love humaniod starters 😭
I am 100% biased due to platinum being my first pokemon game, but I think the Sinnoh starters are at least 2-3 best fully evolved trio
1. Hoenn starters, literally no one hates any of the three. Theyve all got their niche. (First playthrough mudkip)
2. Kalos starters, a tad controversial maybe but delphox and greninja are goated… chestnaught is ok 👍 (first playthrough froakie)
3. Alola starters, theyre all amazing and still have the starter vibe while also having their theme. (First playthrough rowlet, still hurt about torracat into incineroar tho…)
4. Hisui starters, they made two mid starters good and one charizard teir starter mid *cough cough* decidueye (first playthrough oshawott)
5. Sinnoh starters, you’re kinda stuck choosing infernape in the games that they are starters. Though, empoleon and Torterra are lovely lil guys. (First playthrough chimchar or piplup, these were my first games when i was like 7 so i dont remember… sinnoh ftw)
6. Paldea starters, if youre only problem is quaquaval is fruity, thats more a you problem than the Pokemon itself. Skeledirge has felt the most like a starter modern games wise and he’s my favorite of the three. I do *not* like meowscarada, so bias kinda made them down this low (first playthrough fuecoco)
7. Unova starters, honestly i like the three of them they just dont stand out above the others above them. (First playthrough oshawott)
8. Kanto starters, solid mons, overdone… (first playthrough charmander)
9. Johto starters, as much as typholsion and feraligatr are loved by me, they just dont make the cut… and Meganium is a good pokemon, bad starter. (First playthrough totodile)
10. Galar starters, they all just… dont feel right. Rillaboom is probably the best but thats not saying much… (first playthrough sobble)
