Errors here and there but very enjoyable game to watch. Glad to see that the final point was earned. Your tracking like a greyhound Rory and always enjoy your analyzing the games. Lots of things to pick up and use that you mention.
I have been in both situations where I was ahead and just can’t put the game away losing by the tie breaker and win a game where the opposing team was winning 10 - 2 but just could not put the game away.
Rory, what is your opinion on the new power paddles by Joola and Gearbox? Some pb pros are saying that rec center players are going to get hurt by fast-moving balls off these paddles. Do you think these power paddles will cause an imbalance in tournament play?
Thanks for asking. Where I play, Joola is the paddle the facility carries. They have demos of all of the new generation 3 paddles. They are all power paddles and have very little control. A lot of 3.0 players are trying them. They should not be. I have played against a number of those players using the gen 3 paddle and it's amazing how many balls they hit out of the court or pop-up at the nvz. I'm kind of a paddle nerd and have watched a lot of reviews on those paddles. The consensus seems to be, those paddles, because they are so hard to control, should only be used by players at the 4.5 level and above. If you are not at that level and are thinking about getting one, I would suggest you not do so. Instead, get a paddle that has more control. Furthermore, I really don't like how those paddles and the Gearbox Pro Series are changing the game. It's becoming more of a power game where the point is over in four exchanges. I just hope it doesn't become what racquetball has become. Players with the ability to win the game only because they can hit the ball hard due to the paddle they are using.
@@pickleballpick-apart9787 Thank you for your reply! 🙌 I'm keeping my control paddle for a few more years. I'm not at a 3.0 level yet. Also, I wear safety glasses 💯 of the time on the courts.
It's sometimes difficult. A player must be able to adjust to it. They switch sides halfway through the game, so it was fair for both of them. Thanks for watching.

Great! Hope watching them is help making you a better player.
thanks for picking our video to analyze!! it's really helpful!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Hard to call that a 4.0 game with so many unforced errors/giveaways. In my mind, 4.0 means you can master the fundamentals. Not sure these folks did.
I agree, a 4.0 doesn’t just give away points, and doesn’t miss a serve. (I should know I’m a solid 0.8)
They claim to be 4.0. at least they were playing at the 4.0 level in that tournament. I hear what you're saying. Thanks for watching.
They are not 4.0 just my opinion. The entire rating system is crazy!
A bunch sheeeeet happens ! Great commentary!,
Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching.

Exactly right! I've been down 10-1 and came back to win. I have also been on the other side. Thanks for watching.

Fun when you win a comeback not so much when you blow a 14 to 5 lead 😊
Very true. Of been on both ends of that equation. Thanks for watching.
Im all too familiar with the match point curse. Haha
Yep! I've been there. Thanks for watching.
Hard to play clean in the wind.

Tomāto, tomahto. Error, errah. You be you.
Thanks.
At lower levels folks try to hit a drop shot from above their head. It can't be done! Please tell them not to try that.
Okay. Thanks.
It doesn’t look like 4.0 to me. More like 3.5
I hear you. I did not rate them. Thanks for watching.
there is no way they are 4.0
That is what they had in the title of their video. They consider themselves 4.0. Thanks for watching.
👍
Thanks for watching.
