I didn't really have favourites when I was younger. Up until I was about 8 I only had a few and I loved them all :P Peaches was one of them. I remember her dress more than herself TBH :P Thanks again for watching. I would like to redo this one in the future when I am more experienced and have better equipment.

I received two Peaches and cream Barbies for my birthday the year this was released. I wound up butchering one of the dresses and using a black marker on the opalescent bustier. I dressed Barbie up with this darker bustier and a pair of capri jeans from another Barbie. It was a very cool looking outfit. Madonna was a huge influence at that time even if it was age inappropriate for me to watch her videos. 😅 Thanks for posting this unboxing, wish I would’ve kept them. Such nostalgia!
TWO! You lucky duck! How did the black marker look? Was it still opalescent? Perhaps you will get lucky number 3 one day? 🤷🏼♂️❤️
@@DeanReen I think I got one doll from my parents then one from my birthday party (a friend gifted it). The black marker only really covered and seeped into the crevices and the bustier still looked opalescent. I’m telling you I thought I was a major fashion designer! Poor extra Peaches and Cream got a hair cut from my older brother. But I did let him do it. We had no idea how valuable those dolls would be years later!
U had this as a 80s child and I've manage to 're buy her from America...still new in box. This was my favourite barbie ever...

Thank you! I wanted to make it as informative as possible. Unfortunately it was too long and not all the footage turned out very well. This doll is really cool and has so much history too. I am thrilled to have added this doll to my collection.

This was MY Barbie!!! My grandmother got her for me back in like 1985 and my mother (her daughter in law) was not thrilled. lol. I loved her so much.

First Toy I purchased from my savings when I was a little girl🥰 I really wanted peaches n cream Barbie, It took me several visits to the store and just stare at her and so when I saved enough money I bought her😊

All this talk of Peaches 'n Cream made me want to revisit this video. So lovely! You're right, she is a rather generic doll... but so well done, and so incredibly lovely. I think I like her look best of Dream Date & Crystal Barbie. It's just so over the top, but in all the right ways; like only a Barbie of that time is! xo
Oh thanks for rewatching! How painful it must have been for you :P She is incredibly generic. So stereotypically Barbie! I like that her dress is peach rather than pink though, it makes it a little less girly. I read a news article about this doll and what fashion lessons we could learn from her. It was mostly good stuff, but they said that ruffles are never a good look. But what do they know!? Barbie is the queen of fashion. ox

My mom had a peaches and cream barbie doll when she was younger but her mother dumped it idk why and neither does my mom but she would love another peaches and cream doll she loves the smell of when u open a new barbie XD but I mean I understand her so this year I'm getting her a peaches and cream barbie doll hope she will love it ♡♡♡. Btw she won't play dolls with it XD she will keep it up for when up she wants to pass it down to someone else XD.
It really is a magical experience! I would love to open another one, but that is a bit excessive XD So sweet of you to get your mother P&C Barbie!

One day about a month ago, I went thrift shopping with my brother (he collects G.I. Joe stuff), I found Peaches n Cream Barbie in a bag of Barbies for $4.00, so I bought her. She was nude, but I was able to get her complete outfit on eBay, including the dark red belt and peach shoes, just missing the jewelry, spinner, hair picks, barrettes, comb and brush. The doll itself was in excellent shape, no missing hair plugs. In the same bag was Pink n Pretty Barbie, I was able to get her outfit also on eBay including the shoes. Now I have both on display and they were a couple of dolls that I wanted in my collection.
$4.00 is a great price for P&C. So thrifty! I am not as lucky with thrift shopping. Congratulations on your two new dolls! ❤️

WOW!! Your videos are getting quite slick and professional, Deany! :D Love the inclusion of the TV ads, and love how it speeds up at certain intervals... also was really impressed with the Andy Warhol bit, where she morphed into his painting. Really well done! I do remember her very well as she came out right at the end of my 'Barbie phase' when I was a kid, Though I bought the Sweet Roses P.J. instead, because I always wanted a P.J. doll and they were quite hard to come by in Australia back then. I also loved how you gave a bit of history about her, and how you noted that the 'changeable ruffle' gimmick was also used in several other dolls of that era... (changeable garments in general was indeed a huge gimmick for most of their Barbies for years, as in Pretty Changes Barbie, Golden Dream Barbie, Pink 'N Pretty Barbie and even Fabulous Fur Barbie from 1983, who was a later favourite for me.) Can't wait for your next one, Deany!!! :P
Thanks Spageddi! I spent a fair amount of time on this one. Obviously I can't do that for all of my videos, but I will definitely be doing it for the things I find to be really important. I am so glad you loved the commercials and the Andy Warhol segments. Those took a fair bit of work. I had to find the materials then I had to do sound editing, video enhancements, cutting and cropping etc. It took so long! But I wanted to make a very informative video. P.J. is cute. Ollie calls my Brunette Steffie Standard "P.J.". It is not a conscious decision, he just doesn't know what doll I am speaking about unless I say P.J. I wish they still had those gimmicks on dolls! They weren't overly tacky and they made the doll more interesting and actually gave you something to do apart from banging the dolls together so that they could make babies :P
LOL!!! I used to do that with my dolls! ;) Yes, it was a lot of fun making the different outfits from those dolls' clothing items and accessories (when they weren't busy 'making babies', that is LOL)
Didn't everyone? I remember playing dolls with my mum and she would always start a cat fight :P

80’s Barbie Doll (1984)
I got her on my 11th birthday and I adore her to this day. I'm a new sub, so nice to see the younger generation enjoying the dolls I grew up with. :)

Dean Reen You have nothing to worry about. You are fantastic in front of the camera and yes, the only way to get passed uncomfy is to keep at it! It gets easier and don't be so hard on yourself, silly boy! I'm looking forward to more reviews!

I had the doll but she was too weird. The eyelids are usually melted and the face is like a mask and there is this massive split right down her head that is sewn together. I do love the outfit though and would love to get it for one of my other dolls. The European version also looks good.

I was 5 when this came out & this was a fav of mines. That top portion ( opal cream) oh my goodness. It was something so pretty about it. I loved the material. You couldn't tell my or my sister s****!
Hahaha, I know exactly what you mean! The dress was awe inspiring. This doll was never mine exactly, it belonged to my sister. I remember the dress most of all. It was like this magic multi-toned peach cloud with a glittering opalescent cream jewel. It was really something else.

I never had this doll as a young girl, I wouldn't mind getting the reproduction doll, it displays nicely in the box. One of my friends had this doll. Also on my wish list are Golden Dream Barbie, Dream Date Barbie, and Crystal Barbie, I never had any of these as a young girl. I was able to purchase Angel Face and Twirly Curls in their original boxes unopened, both of those dolls I had when I was little.
The reproduction is lovely, but she is actually quite different from the original. I love all of those dolls you listed. I really want dream date PJ. I wouldn't mind Angel face too. I love her two toned hair XD

These dolls aren't that rare. They are expensive though, that is for sure. I find that people tend to underestimate how many Barbies are produced. I think it is most important to enjoy your dolls. Life is short. Thank you for watching
