I knew I found the right one then. 35 years later and some hard times and good ones she is still hear and God is our main source and Jesus is our saviour . And he picked her for me . I couldn't of picked her. She is my best friend and hero.

Then I don’t want apart of either. To stick something out when someone is disrespecting you is not a life worth living. It is a shame we raise children to be codependent. Most people feel they have to be with someone all the time because of the junk. Being alone is not the same thing as being lonely. I’d rather live under a bridge by myself than to live in a mansion with people who disrespect me.

Being codependent is a bad quality to have,plus once you no longer have that person, how do you react/move forward? I have seen many Christian’s slip into a massive depression without their spouse once they pass. Even when the marriage wasn’t great. So again, I’ll sit out of this type of life style. Being happy within myself and being independent creates more freedom, which for me, creates more happiness.

What a woman
My Nana married my great grandfather LT Wheeler when they were very young and unfortunately he passed away at 29 years old fighting in France in WW2 ... My Nana was one of the sweetest people I've ever met she lived to be 101 years old and never remarried on her 100th birthday we had a big celebration for her and she sat there and told her 3 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren as well as at least 50 other people about how she met my great grandfather ... I took two things from that ... My great grandfather must of been one heck of a man and I could only ever hope to find someone who could love the way my Nana does ... they ain't making people like they used to

Wow, I wouldn't have the audacity to stay if my wife cheated. God wouldn't have put that together. That's that redemption kind of marriage. God can redeem and make it work, but that isn't His Plan.

I went through it with my man and people said the same thing to me about leaving him. I stayed and he did get sober and believe in Jesus. He passed this past March.

@@thomasjefferson6334 it’s got to be tearing him apart but I was willing to wait it out. It hurt, but for me I had to give it to God, there was more at stake than my happiness. There is a way that seems right to man but God has another plan. This is what I did. I don’t know if I could deal with it. The same guy for 13 years.

God will fix everything. After years of my husband treating me bad , going thru his drinking problems i had enough was planing to leave. Took a pregnancy test just to make sure before getting on the pill ended up pregnant with our first child. I got in a car accident while 6 months pregnant the thought of losing our son made my husband come to the lord.

Marriage is like a roller coaster, you go down in the valley you have your bad times you come back up to have your good times. As long as there is no abuse then you stand by your mate as long as they're trying. That's what's wrong with these younger generations they like to do the dress up and the wedding and the honeymoon but whenever the reality hits of real life then they're always ready to bail.
This seed the enemy has put in woman’s mind about abuse. One there is different kinds of abuse. Sexual, physical. Mental, emotional, and I’m sure more ways to be abusive. What should a woman do if things are physical or sexual? You take immediate action, you shouldn’t stay in an unsafe place. That is wise. But, for the Christian woman, is the answer divorce after that? Usually the answer is yes, that’s deception. While Christ is calling the women by the Holy Spirit to pray for the man who is living like a demon, and to believe for God’s hand to work out what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good, they end believing society and culture more than God. “Leave, quit, find another.” This isn’t of God and it isn’t Christ like, it’s evil, self loving and self preservation. Be wise and get out of the situation. What a victory the kingdom of darkness has seen in so many divorces over things God never gave the green light but man did.
Oh to add. Look at the faithfulness and love of Christ. For a Christian that has had a good number of years in their walk and who also has gone astray and returned like the prodigal. YOU KNOW Christ’s heart for his bride! A husband isn’t the only one to be Christ-like or have biblical love. Society has put woman as lesser and put them as though they are not more than conquerors and overcomers like the word says they are. That they have to resort to giving up and giving in concerns to broken marriages. By the faith of the wife, by their prayer, by their hope in God, GOD CAN DO THE IMPOSSIBLE! Love conquers over a multitude of sin, thank God he didn’t divorce me of this engagement (Holy Spirit is like an engagement ring) when I went my own ways! He loved me and wanted me even when I lived like a demon before Christ and even as a prodigal.

@@thomasjefferson6334 Is he a Christian? Is Jesus his lord? If so, he's called to still love those who have done him wrong. Not making light of the situation at all.
I have no grasp of the wife, your brother, the children, the situation. Even if the bible gives grounds for divorce in unfaithfulness. What about their situation? There's way more moment to moment decisions that need to be made in wisdom, not raw emotion.
I'm going to be praying for them and that God help's him and their children. There's nothing God can not do.
What your brother needs more than anything else right now is to know Jesus and make sure Jesus is lord of his life. If that's already that case, then he needs to seek God and look to him for wisdom on what to do. Other than that, if he's not Christin and doesn't care for God's heart on the matter, then most people just divorce and move on.
It would be best for your brother to bring this to people he knows and trusts. If a part of a church, a leader or pastor that can be of help. I would encourage your brother and love him, be there for him and help him be the man he needs to be in this situation. For the Christian, God takes what the enemy meant for evil and turns it for our good. God can make this atrocious situation into something beautiful. Help him to look to Jesus for his help. Pray; and ask God to work in the situation.
The wife is no doubt in the wrong. But God's heart is for her to be saved through Jesus. Hate and bitterness will destroy your brother, but a heart of forgiveness (even if they divorce) will protect Him. I pray that God would help in this situation and that salvation would happen for those who don't know Jesus yet.

Praise God for you Miss Kay, when you told your boys; We are going to pray for your dad. It's a beautiful Testimony. I've read all your families books. Your strength as a faithful woman, broke his wild nature! Then you introduced him to the Pastor. Praise God Phil accepted Christ. I shared with my male friend to stay when his wife of 26 yrs running around. God told me to tell him to wait. He did, & she came home. He is thankful. He days I'm the only1 who told him to stay. Sorry, what I meant was: God hasn't sent her to you, yet.
Love might have been part of the equation, but codependency is often a bigger party of it. Very dangerous for a woman or a man to continue to be used and abused like that. I should celebrate any woman leaving a man who ran around and did drugs as Phil did. Things played out for them with divine intervention, but... I wouldn't fault anyone for leaving that mess and raising kids without that trauma.

I stuck with my husband through his years of bad drinking, and God changed him after years of prayer. He has been sober for 6 years. Don't give up was the best advice I ever got.
