  • This is a short half block walk from the near 3rd Avenue to 169 East 71st Street where was Audrey Hepburn's character, Holly Golightly, apartment on Upper East Side (The last townhouse in the video with turquoise door and window frames) The number on the door was removed after recent renovation probably to mislead tourist crowds.

Beautiful neighborhood! I used to live on East 77th St. between 2nd and 3rd Aveues in the early 1970s while working as a fashion illustrator. Then I moved to a rent controlled one bedroom/one bathroom apt in an old brownstone for only $90 dollars a month on East 91rst street between 2nd and 1rst Aves.. With two roommated just 30 dollars a month! A far cry from the $2500 a month these days or more! My late godfather used to live in one of those apts under the stoops slightly below street level on West 13th steet in the West Village aka historic art bohemian Greenwich Village, another beautiful neighborhood! Miss NYC, my old stomping ground along with New School University/Parson's School of Design which was formerly The New School for Social Research! Thanks for the memories down Memory Lane~ I

The 1960's was amazing in NYC -
I remember like it were yesterday!!
Regardless, there's always been something special about NYC -
Anyone who I know who leaves & moves to Florida. AZ, CA, or anywhere else always seems to always talk about NYC even tho they left ( there move usually were insane reasons ).
    Thanks for the sweet video!!

The 1960's was a great decade and so much fun. I'm from London, which was known as the swinging 60's capital of the world for fashion, fun and partying. London and NYC must have been great places to live back then.

Since Tiffany's is located in E 57st she had to walk 14 blocks north to get home. Always knew she had a good walk ahead of her.

Breakfast at Tiffany's which came out in 1961 and plus on top of that the movie was financed and it's owned by Paramount Studios.
Breakfast at Tiffany's I believe was released into theaters since October 1961 and became a huge hit for paramount pictures at the time.
Little did paramount knew at the time when this movie became successful at the box-office was that a certain baby that was 6 months old back in October of 1961 would be making back to back hit movies for paramount pictures back in the early 1980's and all would be very successful at the box-office.
That same baby that was born on April 3rd 1961 and was 6 months old in October of 1961 would really really really help paramount pictures make a huge immense profit when that same baby who would turn 23 by 1984 would come out with the biggest and the most highest successful grossing movie of all time at the box-office and would become the #1 movie of 1984 beating out Ghostbusters and taking over its spot.
Not bad for the 23 year old who came out the biggest and most financially successful movie of all time at the box-office since it was released in theaters on December 5th 1984
