The Kennedys are a fascinating family to me. Although I don't buy into the whole Camelot narrative and how great things were for them, because we know things were not great on so many levels, they're still a very interesting sociological study on money, power, family, influence, affluence. They lived in a way that so many could never possibly dream of, but they also had so much tragedy that no one would trade even for all the privileges they had
Although the lady was not one of the most sympathetic women, I think this Appartement was quite elegant and comfortable. To me it is a look of how North Americans think north europeans live. Considering this was put together 40-50 years ago. It still stands up well today. That look is certainly better than the VIP‘s homes of today which all have a sterile hotel lobby look to them , a conveyer belt “luxury”, look which has to change every season. By the way was everything auctioned off after her death?
Very amazing and if she would of been alive today she probably would of had the full latest technology of the internet wifi and the most high tech televisions of all. I can also imagine her driving around in her favorite car a BMW top of the line.
You described a dining room with a long table etc. and that's not the way she decorated the dining room. She had a smaller table and an informal dining room which was more of a french style room with a round table, but functioned more as an entertainment spot rather than the formal dining room in your narration. I like it😊
Celebrity visitors over the years included Frank Sinatra, Andy Warhol, Candace Bergen, Warren Beatty, Diane Keaton, Madonna, Steve Martin, Bernadette Peters, Hillary Clinton, etc.
Truly amazing woman as was her late husband a truly amazing man, she was a trailblazer for women's fashion and she had it nailed and so elegant... as for the New York apartment well it just smacks of finesse and style and what an incredibly intriguing family.
We enjoyed that.
It’s cozier than Ibexpected
I must say, this has grandeur. 🎉

What happened to Ms. Onassis belongings after her passing? I always felt compassion for her.
@lynnclark4208 . Maybe her daughter Caroline, handled all that. Mother and daughter were very close.
I'm moving in. ❤
Jackie came from a different generation, where wealth mattered. she was also from old money and generational wealth. She was smart, and she did what she had to do. Try living with out money these days and especially in NYC.
Saw her taking walks all of the time when I was going to Central Park when I was a kid. Used to wave at her. She would chat with us kids. When I got older, I used to see her handsome son biking. He was so yummy!!
He’s still alive BTW.
Yummy? What are you, 12?
@@WWGWGA-bi2rv Aww...so is Santa, sweetheart...😊
@@WWGWGA-bi2rv No, he and his wife died in a plane crash on their way to Martha's Vineyard
See my other comment. I met her while waiting for the light to change 5th Ave and Central Park
She had such beautiful taste thank you for posting ,
A marvelous woman and a beautiful home…I expected nothing less!
She Was Such And Beautiful And Amazing Woman ❤❤
What makes you say she wasn't sympathetic?
Exquisite taste.
Yes, this woman had very good taste
Very amazing and if she would of been alive today she probably would of had the full latest technology of the internet wifi and the most high tech televisions of all. I can also imagine her driving around in her favorite car a BMW top of the line.
One of americas great First Ladies.
feels suffcataing to me...the drapes ...the curtains...the walls...too much going on for my little mind...i cant breathe !!!!
A life well lived, but oh so short. She was only 64.
I do like her decorating...every couch is nappable
Very beautiful .
Gold Gold Digger. First Class.
@vranco, Jackie! Never.
You are ignorant and don't know anything about her. Americans idolized her
Very reserved.
Very ugly and suffocating - too much in this one apartment!!
Uggh!
You described a dining room with a long table etc. and that's not the way she decorated the dining room. She had a smaller table and an informal dining room which was more of a french style room with a round table, but functioned more as an entertainment spot rather than the formal dining room in your narration. Get the facts and the information straight!
