      My mates family were came from mining backgrounds. I'm from Washington Tyne and Wear, i have no idea where your from but, what i gather is miners and miners family's were very close. They looked after one another. Comrades.
      That's a great thing he did.

    One of the brave rescue worker that died was John ( Jack) Young Wallace 26 years old died of fumes trying to rescue trapped miners from what iv found out hes likely my relative im a Wallace

    My father was working in the pit at time, but in a different seam from the disaster. He later engaged in salvage work.

    My uncle Tom was killed in the disaster ,he was only 21.

    My great grandfather help put the shaft in, he fell broke his neck
