Well hopefully the new playoff format will give the fans better non conference games. Michigan playing East Carolina Bowling Green and UNLV is a joke for out of conference games. Teams are scared to lose one game so they don’t schedule decent opponents.

I disagree the only Reason Michigan Vs Ohio St has been fun to watch the past 2 years is playoff implications it’ll still be good for like Die Hard College fans cause they’ll watch anything but it won’t feel same when literally the only Stakes in the game are who gets home field because both teams will make the playoff anyway take Alabama for example normally this would be a down year for them but in a 12 team playoff they’d make it anyway I think ppl assume that the Cinderella Team will be like Tulane or Some group of five but what’s more likely to happen is Alabama Or GA get upset in a game an then run the table as a 12 seed it’s not gonna be more parad

Takes like this are what drive me crazy. I am not and never will be a fan of the 12 team playoff. It is entirely too many. Just because it works for the NFL or NBA or whatever, it doesn't work for college football. But whatever, that is old news. The part that bothers me is hearing people who claim to be college football fans saying that games like the Utah v Oregon game didn't matter because it had no playoff implications...have we forgotten that college football was not made to be a post season game? Just because it doesn't have playoff implications doesn't make it not important. College football is special in that way. Bowl games and late season games still matter to true fans because it isn't always about the playoffs. So what Utah and Oregon didn't make the playoffs? It is still a hell of a game to watch, and I bet if you ask those players or those fans if that game matters, they would 10000% tell you it does. And as a fan of the sport as a whole, it means a lot to me.

The CFP will drop down to 8, and exclude the G5. Just make the P4 conference title games the first round; DONE.
Everything is pointing towards the eventuality of an entity that might be named MCF. Major College Football will be a football-only breakaway organization involving the top national brands. CFB will stratify further, and the G5 will have their own natty.

I’m glad the cfp is expanding to 12 teams. With the rules it makes everything interesting in my opinion. I don’t think people look into the rules they have for it as much. Like instead of naming specific conferences that get in they said the 5 Best conferences champs. We know more than likely it probably will be the ACC,SEC,B1G10, and Big12 champs. I’m not in favor of it 4 team playoff is way better for multiple reasons but the main reason is Games Like Ohio State Michigan And GA vs Tennessee last year or Auburn Vs GA Sec Championship in 2017 were huge games is because they had Major Playoff implications by expanding the playoff those games are basically meaningless because both Teams make the playoff either way and I know Maybe They have Home Field advantage to play for but st the end of the day they won’t get the same viewing numbers and not nearly as many people will care about watching a game where both teams will make the playoff anyway

Why don't they just do the smart thing and make each playoff slot a battle for their respective Conference and dissolve 3 of the smallest Conferences into 12 Conferences and make each team battle strictly within their own Conference so we can really see who is the better team in each Conference. Right now, Michigan, Penn State, and Ohio State have laughable schedules and play each other to make their schedule less of a 'joke', but if each of the three teams only lose once to each other then they still take precedent over other Conferences that have harder schedules and harder Conferences like the SEC. It is no coincidence that Michigan and Ohio State and Penn State make it in this new format 9 times out of 10 because of bias in pre-season rankings. This new 12 game format is just another way to knee cap SEC teams so they can 'diversify' or artificially inflate other Conferences' egos.

Playing exactly I'm about to hear again in the intro is getting annoying. Get creative with your faux intro/ non-intro having self. Putting this on straight repeat is later in the video for the first 1-2m is lazy. The first word spoken on this video is "and". Treat the only language you (probably) speak with respect, or stay bald. Roll Tide.

I can only dream but D1 FB should go to a 24 team CFP system where the bottom 16 teams play each other, the top 8 teams play the respective winners, play down to the "fierce 4" and so on. The 23rd and 24th teams could be a "play in" teams like in March Madness. The Gridiron Gauntlet! Keep the bowl games as is and eliminate conference title games.
