I learn more from you in 5 minutes than I do from my biochem professor (who is very smart but talks way too fast and acts like we already know this stuff) in 50 minutes. You are gold!!
You know what!? I think you are fantastic! I don't even understand how some people give you dislikes! You make me hate biochem much less)) I am in love with you.... 🙆🏻
You explain biology like no one else. Most people are always under the impression that in biology we just need to remember huge terminologies and that its just a memory game without reasons unlike physics and mathematics. But you reason it so well and accurately. You make the subject interesting and meaningful. Thank you for making my life easier.
I don't think I can thank you enough for saving my life (and by life I mean all the stress I would have had studying for my test without your videos)!!!!!
A very good lecture,,everytime when i dont understand something in class i always come to youtube for your videos, wow!! just wow!!, you just make everything easier and understandable keep it up and God bless yah!. Thank you
Wow ! You are describing all the steps with such information that everything i have in my book are explained in your videos and sometimes more than that ! Although i am giving biochemistry exams in greek i have learned them in english better :P Keep going , you are top lecturer !
You are absolutely amazing 😍😍 you explain the most difficult topics so easily that one can visualize it😍 you definitely have improved my biochemistry concepts
Sir AK is the best professor of Science subjects, he is master of simplifying difficult concepts... I found this channel the best learning platform for all levels of students Appreciate your work sir 😘😘💓💓💓💓
you are amazing, there is no words describe how fantastic you are please we want to learn more about the person who makes our study easier and interesting in a new video out of the box how did you start..are you a doctor...
OMG! YOU'RE AMAZING! Thank you so much!! Your videos are so complete and easy to understand. It makes me wanna cry from happiness hahaha. Just one thing, it'd be really cool if you could leave in the description your info sources, just to check them up. Anyway, again YOU'RE AMAZING!
Respected sir! Your lecture is very interesting and understandable. I would like to give you one suggestion when you turned towards the white board pointing something, it is not clearly observe on the board which create some sort boring situation. Kindly make the board clearly observable so that students like me should take full benefits of your lecture.
You wrote a net result of glycolysis on the board, and on the right side, as products, you have 2 ATP, when in fact it should be 4. Pointing it out only to eliminate confusion for someone ho might also notice it :) While I'm writing, I want to also take the opportunity to thank you for all your videos. Amazing work, honestly!
I know this was a year ago, but the right side has 2 ATP because it is the net result of glycolysis. If he had put 4 ATP on the right, he would have had to put 2 ATP on the left side. I assume he just subtracted 2 ATPs from both sides.
Can anyone please tell me why do we need to convert pyruvate back into glucose in the first place if it has already undergone though stages of glycolysis to produce ATP?
If you take glycerol in a fasted glycogen depleted state, will it convert readily into glucose by gluconeogenesis. And how does it effect insulin, no increase correct? Also will it stall ketosis temporarily?
Hello sir. I really love your videos! They help to improve my biochemistry subject so much. But unfortunately, I couldn't find your videos about Photosynthesis :( Could you please help me to make Photosynthesis-related videos? I will really appreciate it. Thank you!
My text book says amino acids enter gluconeogenesis through either oxaloacetate or pyruvate. I am a bit confused with the amino acids and DHAP. Any chance it could be clarified? Other than that the explanation is as great as always!
Some book says 1 mole of glucose yields 38 ATP some says 32. Some says in glycolysis 8 ATP is produced some says 7 Please tell what to follow and what to write in Exams
at 13:39, I think the total energy released from one glucose from glycolysis should be calculated by this formula: 33.5+22.2+ 2 x 16.7 = 89.1 kj/mol, because one glucose will produce two pyruvate molecules.
you're great but I think there is something wrong .. in first two steps , you said they are exergonic reactions ? they are actually endergonic not exergonic because they require energy thank you
Why do we die because we do not get enough glucose? Why not use the pyruvate for the citric cycle followed by the electron transport chain and get energy (ATP) that way? Making glucose from pyruvate that could be used directly for energy makes no sense to me. Someone please explain. What makes the glucose molecule more important than other sources of energy?
the moment in which you realize you would have never been able to sum up those three values so quickly as he did and you decide to move to horse riding as B plan in life.
I learn more from you in 5 minutes than I do from my biochem professor (who is very smart but talks way too fast and acts like we already know this stuff) in 50 minutes. You are gold!!
i totally agrree with you
Lmao sounds like my professor Dr Gray, great smart professor but talks a bit too fast
Hey baby.. what's your qualification?
Same my professor thinks we know everything despite being in first year
i guess it is kind of off topic but does anybody know of a good website to stream new tv shows online?
You know what!? I think you are fantastic! I don't even understand how some people give you dislikes! You make me hate biochem much less)) I am in love with you.... 🙆🏻

how did you start..are you a doctor...
Thanks for your lectures always!
From korea
thank you so much!
Your lectures are awesome
thank u so much!! nice work..
I have one question. Where does the pyruvate came from?
thank u a lot am really enjoying since aim biochemistry student 2nd year.i got deep and clear understanding... n i c drop outs are giving thump-down.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO. it really helps me!! i have biochemistry exam in a few days :)
I NEED you or someone to make a music video explaining this to the tune of A Cruel Angel's Thesis
Thankyou so much sir!
Incredible. I wish you were my professor for biochemistry.
clear explanations, you are such a wonder........like biochemistry more
tq very much
you are amazing!
Thank you so much, this video a fantastic help !
Rawan Nasser You're welcome, glad to hear that :)
"Step 10" Occurs twice, so the total amount of energy actually produced from a single glucose molecules is around -85kJ/mol.
thankyou so much sir.
Fabolous lecture
love you sir!
Ur the best seriously
Thank you, sir AK, you are saving my life from failing the Biochem exam next week.
Hii
what I would give right now to have you instead of my biochemistry instructor 3 times a week...thank you
Your videos are great, really really great. but could you please move so i can see your notes?
i find biochem interesting but so freaking abstract, and this makes it a little better.
Respected sir!
Your lecture is very interesting and understandable. I would like to give you one suggestion when you turned towards the white board pointing something, it is not clearly observe on the board which create some sort boring situation. Kindly make the board clearly observable so that students like me should take full benefits of your lecture.
super video...but where is the end??which is interesting!!!?
The Angel of Biochemistry 💙🤍
you are the best :)
good lecture sir
you're better than my teacher
You wrote a net result of glycolysis on the board, and on the right side, as products, you have 2 ATP, when in fact it should be 4. Pointing it out only to eliminate confusion for someone ho might also notice it :)

Is the correction you made for amino acids meaning aa converts to pyruvate and oxaloacetate? not DHAP
Can anyone please tell me why do we need to convert pyruvate back into glucose in the first place if it has already undergone though stages of glycolysis to produce ATP?
How does aminocidsv get converted onto dhap i dont understand i thought theyre converted only on pyruvate acetyl coa and any citric cycle intermedier
so does gluconeogenesis utilize two pryuvates to make glucose?
What about the cori cycle and maleate cycle
Which book do you use?
This dude is my homie
If you take glycerol in a fasted glycogen depleted state, will it convert readily into glucose by gluconeogenesis. And how does it effect insulin, no increase correct? Also will it stall ketosis temporarily?
How about the ingested fats? Do they undergo gluconeogenesis?
"...in that case we essentially... die" 8:25
to the point! :)
Hello sir. I really love your videos! They help to improve my biochemistry subject so much. But unfortunately, I couldn't find your videos about Photosynthesis :(
Could you please help me to make Photosynthesis-related videos? I will really appreciate it. Thank you!
Sir you are diamond for me
continue go go go bro 😍 i love u !!
Prince Ahmed lol thanks!! will do :)
I've read pyruvate can come from fatty acid as well. acetone ---->acetol---->methylglyoxal---->pyruvate. ??
My text book says amino acids enter gluconeogenesis through either oxaloacetate or pyruvate. I am a bit confused with the amino acids and DHAP. Any chance it could be clarified? Other than that the explanation is as great as always!
Mine too! A little confused about this. Did you figure it out?
Some book says 1 mole of glucose yields 38 ATP some says 32.

it's from this video, I just correct it a little.
I didn't realize how important my liver really is!
10:33 who heard the sound?
Yes, the NYC sirens.
you're great but I think there is something wrong .. in first two steps , you said they are exergonic reactions ? they are actually endergonic not exergonic because they require energy
thank you
你很厲害啊!!!

Is it just me or do these videos seem to cut off before he finishes?
the moment in which you realize you would have never been able to sum up those three values so quickly as he did and you decide to move to horse riding as B plan in life.
Is it just me or does this video cutoff abruptly at the end?

I wonder why there are 8 dislike in this video.................
